Abstract

The interface (ISI) is implemented between two centralised components or subassemblies (ZBG1,ZBG1') and their redundant peripheral counterparts (PBG1,PBG1') in e.g. an optical network unit. Each centralised component transmits flows of information to both peripherals. The choice of the active centralised component is made in the peripherals by the changeover switches (U1,U1'). The peripherals are switched from one centralised component to the other, in synchronism with the security-technological information or messages in two time slots.
