Description

The invention relates to a sports shoe more particularly adapted to the skating such as inline skating or ice skating. The invention relates also to the method of manufacturing such a shoe.

There are several families of shoes for skating. Among them, we finds the boot with rising hull comprising an articulated collar and an internal liner of padding. This construction is derived from the practice of alpine ski boots. In particular, the shell is made of relatively rigid plastic. The disadvantages of this type of construction are numerous. For example, these skates are considered to be 〈〈 warm 〉〉 and as providing little ventilation for the foot. These skates are also considered as uncomfortable, due to the rigidity provided by the shell and the surrounding collar fully the foot and lower leg.

Another known type of construction, as described in US Patent 5,499,461 consists to provide a shoe entirely formed of a flexible upper and, at least in part breathable, mounted on a sole base and to associate stiffening elements discreet such as a heel counter and a collar hinging externally on the counter. The advantage of such a construction is that it provides more flexibility for a maximum of comfort and freedom of movement. Such a construction is also more favorable to the ventilation of the foot. The rigid external parts however contribute to the lateral holding of the ankle and lower leg for reasons of stability and security while leaving a significant front / rear bending freedom during skating. Such a construction includes however disadvantages; one of the main ones being the relatively low manufacturing cost important due to the fact that a real flexible shoe structure must be designed and associate by appropriate connecting means rigid external reinforcement elements. The design requires the use of traditional techniques of sewing, gluing, forming hot, assembly on 〈〈 form 〉〉 and other techniques used in the manufacture of the shoe traditional.

Patent application EP-A 1-780 062, for example, describes another type of shoe adaptable to inline skating which is a compromise between the family of rising hulls entirely made of rigid plastic, possibly perforated with ventilation holes, and shoes with flexible upper partially reinforced with rigid plastic elements. The construction includes an external rigid shell base, an articulated collar attached to the shell and a liner (or internal shoe) which is housed in the shell.

However, such a construction has drawbacks. One of them comes from this that the construction remains complex, expensive and delicate assembly. Indeed, the necklace must be mounted in rotation on the shell base after fitting the liner in the base shell. It must then be fixed to the internal padding by manual operations additional bonding, sewing or molding in place. Another disadvantage comes from this that part of the flexible covering of the collar is sandwiched between the collar and the shell around the pivot point. This part is therefore subject to repeated friction can create rapid wear and tear on the flexible intermediate part which can provide play between the collar and the shell and quickly degrade the aesthetic appearance of the shoe.

US 5,437,466; WO 95/15094 ; US 4,385,456 ; US 5,331,752 ; US 3,807,062 ; WO 97/48458.There are still many variants of building a skate shoe such as those described in the following publications: US 5,437,466; WO 95/15094; US 4,385,456; US 5,331,752; US 3,807,062; WO 97/48458.

French patent application (non-prepublished) n ° 97 02139 belonging to applicant relates to a shoe comprising a rigid frame consisting of at least a part of a rigid sole and a heel counter and which comprises at least one upper partially flexible with a cover-shaped part conforming to the shape of a frame rigid intended to be threaded onto the rigid frame; the cover being provided with connecting means rigid frame. The goal is to provide a shoe structure combining the advantages and the aesthetics of a flexible shoe and the advantages of rigidity, holding the ankle of a rigid shoe. The present invention proposes to provide improvements to this type of construction. Consequently, the entire content of the French patent application No. 97 02139 is incorporated here by reference.

One of the aims of the present invention is therefore to propose a shoe, more particularly suitable for inline skating, which solves stability problems and foot support, transmission of forces without bringing excessive stiffness, and which at the same time retains maximum comfort and ventilation.

Another object of the invention is to provide a shoe which provides both good lateral support and relative flexibility in front / rear direction.

Another aim is to propose a method of assembly between so-called 〈〈 flexible 〉〉 parts and so-called "rigid" parts which perform different and generally antagonistic functions by simple, effective, inexpensive and optionally removable means.

Another object of the invention is to propose a shoe construction method which either simple and easy and quick to assemble without or with a minimum of operations traditional manual sewing, gluing, molding, assembly on 〈〈 form 〉〉 or other.

Another object of the invention is also to propose a shoe which can be produced at low cost but of technical and aesthetic quality at least equivalent to current products proposed.

  • To achieve these and other aims, the invention relates to a shoe intended for in-line skating, comprising:
  • a rigid shell base provided with a rigid sole intended to be attached to a skate frame, a heel counter part and a longitudinal opening:
  • a flexible liner which takes position in said shell base comprising a padded part surrounding the foot and at least one portion of an external pocket, characterized in that
  • the shell base includes a rigid collar portion which extends the heel counter and in that,
  • the outer pocket portion partly covers at least the collar portion so as to ensure, at least partially, the maintenance of the flexible liner in the shell base.
The shell base as well as the collar which extends it contributes to the lateral support of the foot and ankle in the shoe. The soft liner ensures sensitive wrapping and comfort. A structure of this type promotes ventilation by allowing the entry of air through the longitudinal opening and the air circulation in the space formed between the hull base and the soft liner.

According to an advantageous characteristic of the invention, the pocket portion covers only partially the hull base so as to leave at least part free substantial of the heel counter of the shell base. A structure of this type ensures a optimal wrapping of the upper parts of the hull base which are not subject to friction and shock in order to achieve good cohesion of the assembly slipper / hull base, and, a baring of the lower parts of the hull base which are able to withstand repeated friction and impact. Another benefit of recovery partial of the shell base is that it promotes the flexibility of the shoe compared to a total recovery which provides greater resistance to flexing of the shoe. A another advantage is that it allows better air circulation by creating openings in the transition zones between the liner and the shell base relative to an overlap total. Another advantage is that it contributes to the lightness of the structure.

According to an advantageous characteristic of the invention, the portion of rigid collar is connected to the hull base integrally.

    Cette ossature combinant la base de coque et le collier à un chausson muni d'une poche est une caractéristique importante de l'invention car elle participe à la simplification du mode de construction en limitant le nombre de pièces à assembler et simplifie donc l'assemblage. L'assemblage est aussi rendu plus aisé car la construction intégrale favorise la rigidité de l'ossature à recouvrir. De plus, la poche du chausson assure un bon maintien du chausson dans la base de coque. Aucune opération ultérieure traditionnelle de couture, collage ou autres n'est nécessaire pour finaliser l'assemblage. L'assemblage est économique car il ne met en oeuvre qu'un nombre minimum de pièces techniques à assembler.This frame combining the shell base and the collar with a liner provided with a pocket is an important characteristic of the invention because it contributes to the simplification of the mode of construction by limiting the number of parts to be assembled and therefore simplifies assembly. The assembly is also made easier because the integral construction promotes the rigidity of the framework to be covered. In addition, the pocket of the bootie ensures good support of the bootie in the hull base. No subsequent traditional sewing, gluing or other operations are necessary to finalize the assembly. The assembly is economical because it does not implement a minimum number of technical parts to assemble.

    Selon une autre caractéristique avantageuse de l'invention, la portion de poche externe comprend une ouverture orientée principalement dans une direction facilitant le glissement de ladite portion de collier dans la portion de poche lors de l'insertion du chausson dans la base de coque. Ainsi, on facilite l'assemblage entre le chausson et la partie de support comprenant la base de coque et son collier. Dans une configuration préférentielle, l'ouverture de la poche est orientée principalement vers le bas en direction de la semelle.According to another advantageous characteristic of the invention, the outer pocket portion includes an opening oriented mainly in a direction facilitating the sliding of said portion of collar in the pocket portion when inserting the bootie into the base hull. Thus, it facilitates the assembly between the liner and the support part comprising the shell base and its collar. In a preferred configuration, the opening of the pocket is oriented mainly downwards towards the sole.

    Selon une autre caractéristique de l'invention, le chausson est monté de façon amovible dans la base de coque.According to another characteristic of the invention, the liner is removably mounted in the hull base.

    L'invention se rapporte aussi à la méthode de fabrication de la chaussure qui comprend les étapes suivantes :

  • on dispose d'un chausson souple comprenant une partie de tige rembourrée et au moins une portion de poche souple munie d'une ouverture ;
  • on dispose d'une base de coque rigide produite séparément dudit chausson ; ladite base de coque formant une cavité ouverte et comprenant une semelle rigide, une portion de contrefort et au moins une portion de collier prolongeant la base de coque ;
  • The invention also relates to the method of manufacturing the shoe which comprises the following steps:
  • there is a flexible bootie comprising a part of padded upper and at least one portion of flexible pocket provided with an opening;
  • there is a rigid shell base produced separately from said liner; said shell base forming an open cavity and comprising a rigid sole, a buttress portion and at least one collar portion extending the shell base;
  • said flexible liner is assembled to the shell base by introducing part of the liner into said cavity and threading at least part of the portion of the collar through the opening of said portion of flexible pocket.

Referring to Figure 1, the inline skate 1 shown comprises a shoe 2 associated with a chassis 3 provided with a plurality of wheels 30 arranged in a configuration aligned. A braking system 4 can be optionally associated with the skate.

The shoe 2, the main object of the invention, comprises a shell base 5 which has the function of grouping the essential elements of the shoe's framework which ensure the strengthening and support of the foot and ankle. Flexibility and comfort are guaranteed, as for them, by an inner shoe or shoe 6 taking place in the shell base 5.

Figure 2 shows the main aspects of the liner 6 according to the invention. He understands a part of the boot itself and a pocket portion 60 which is connected to it. The liner includes a sole portion 61 connected to a flexible upper portion 62 extending from the tip of the foot 63 to the heel 64 and which goes up laterally and at the rear towards the lower leg. The upper is made of a flexible outer fabric cover or flexible synthetic material and internal padding 68. The pocket portion is connected to the flexible rod on a part of its periphery 65 by an appropriate connecting means, such as a seam 66. A remaining part of the pocket portion is left free and thus comprises a opening 67. One of the advantages of such a construction comes from the fact that the flexible parts ensuring wrap and comfort are embedded on the liner and are therefore dissociated from the frame part; which is formed separately and then assembled in a way simple with the slipper.

The shell base includes a collar portion 7 which ensures the maintenance lateral ankle and lower leg approximately from the malleolus region. Preferably, the collar portion extends the heel counter portion 54 of the base of hull integrally. By 〈〈 integral 〉〉, it should be understood that the hull base and the portion of collar together form a unitary part, preferably obtained by molding in plastic in one piece. However, in some cases, it can be expected that the base shell is made up of several parts obtained separately and connected by connecting means which do not allow a degree of freedom such as rivets or screws, for example example; the assembly then being also considered, in terms of result at least, as 〈〈  integral 〉〉.

The shell base 5 includes a sole portion 50, a buttress portion in tip 51 and lateral portions 52 for holding the foot. The whole delimits an opening longitudinal 53 of sufficient width for the passage of the liner 6 and an internal cavity for the liner housing. The hull base must be sufficiently low in the region instep and possibly openwork to promote the flexibility provided by the liner in the forward / backward direction and the air intake for good ventilation around the foot. However, the shell base should not be too low to form a cavity volume sufficient necessary to maintain and protect a substantial part of the liner.

The shell base includes section 8 reduction means connecting the buttress heel to the collar portion to allow the collar to flex in at least one direction compared to the heel counter. Preferably, these section reduction means are positioned to promote sagging of the collar in a direction substantially longitudinal or front / rear while the collar provides resistance to bending for lateral support of the ankle. As illustrated, these means of reducing section are, for example, notches 80 formed in the region of the Achilles tendon or 81 on the side between the collar portion and the shell base. However, in some circumstances, the preferred direction of deflection may be significantly tilted by relative to the longitudinal direction of the shoe.

The collar portion has substantially a U shape in a horizontal plane of which the opening is oriented forward towards the tip of the hull base. This configuration favors good rear and lateral ankle wrapping. It offers also some elastic resistance in the direction of a backward flexion of the leg which is necessary to inform the skater about his reference and balance position. In however, it leaves more flexibility in the direction of forward bending of the leg to favor a certain freedom of movement during skating.

Figure 5 illustrates the assembly operation of the liner in the shell base. The portion of collar 7 passes through the pocket portion 60 of the boot which comprises opening 67 provided for this purpose. The installation is all the easier as the portion of collar is integral with the rest of the shell base; which gives it a certain outfit and stiffness during wrapping. The pocket portion is preferably of length sufficient to cover and hide the section reduction means. One of the advantages is that the collar portion associated with the section reduction means may have different geometrical configurations without altering the external appearance of the shoe. The pocket portion which covers the collar portion also gives the shoe the appearance of a soft shoe. The connection by pocket also remedies the problem of connection between the collar and the flexible part of the shoe as may be the case in the known prior art. The pocket portion also forms a partial external covering of part of the framework without that part of this covering is sandwiched between moving parts of the framework. THERE IS NO RISK OF ALTERATION BY WEAR OF THIS COVERING PART as in the case of the known prior art. We keep between the portion of necklace covered and inside the pocket a sliding surface contact without the need for additional bonding of the collage, sewing or other type. Another advantage lies in the possibility of making the removable liner relative to the shell base. So the slipper can be replaced by if necessary or can simply be temporarily separated for repair or drying. The liner can be connected in the shell base by additional connecting means such as screws, rivets or other equivalent means. In a preferred example, the shoe is attached to the chassis by fixing means which are common to those carrying out the fixing the sole 61 of the liner in the shell base.

The pocket portion can be made of a flexible material resistant to traction and possibly expandable. It can be a fabric, leather, or a sheet of material synthetic.

The pocket portion has a substantially U-shaped open towards the front. She's spreading transversely, continuously, from one lateral side to the other and at the rear of the liner. The pocket portion is mainly formed of a main portion 600 which is foldable and flexible and of a more rigid edge portion 601 extending, at least in part, along the opening 67. The advantage of such a construction is that it promotes the maintenance of the pocket portion. applied against the collar portion and avoid the edges of the pocket portion from return. It also facilitates assembly because it maintains the opening 67 and facilitates the sliding of the collar portion inside the pocket portion.

In the example presented, the pocket portion 60 extends from the top of the portion of collar or upper part 70 to a zone 71 situated above the sole 50 of the base shell in the heel counter region. For reasons of durability, it is better to leave the buttress portion without covering the flexible part because it has a surface more resistant to abrasion, friction and impact than the pocket portion made of a more flexible material and therefore more sensitive to these attacks.

The pocket portion comprises hooking means 69 on the shell base. These means are preferably means distributed in sufficient number on the rigid edge 601. For example, they can be two in number; each located on one side of the base of shell. Preferably, they are chosen from detachable means to promote the removability of the flexible part; the liner, relative to the rigid part; the hull base. These means are, for example, of the clipping, screwing, stapling, looping and Velcro ™ type. he note that it is not necessary to provide a means of connection all around edge 601 because the connection produced by the pocket is sufficient in itself. The way Rather, its role is to reduce the risk of the edge of the portion of the pocket and hold the edge pressed against the shell base.

The shell base may include an edge portion 710 forming a stop for the correct positioning of the pocket portion 60 and favor the continuity of the surfaces between the flexible parts and the rigid parts of the shoe for aesthetic reasons, of quality finish and durability.

The lateral parts 52 of the shell base are advantageously extended by substantially rigid flaps 55 which border at least a portion of the longitudinal opening 53. The flaps are fitted with clamping means 85 acting in the direction of a narrowing opening and limiting the volume of the cavity around the liner. Shutters relatively rigid also help maintain the front of the liner, at the instep in the shell base cavity. They can be of variable length and width as required. Preferably, they are unitary with the rest of the shell base and are obtained from the same molded part therewith.

    La figure 6 montre un détail de construction de la chaussure selon l'invention. En particulier, une bande de protection souple et pliable 56 forme, en partie au moins, les bords de l'ouverture 53 et se raccorde sur une portion au moins de la base de coque 5. La bande 56 est relativement plus flexible que les volets 55. De préférence, la bande de protection 56 sert à doubler l'intérieur des volets 55. La bande de protection 56 se prolonge longitudinalement au delà des volets et supporte aussi des moyens de serrage 86, 87. Elle a donc pour fonction de protéger le chausson contre les appuis directs des parties rigides de la base de coque, en particulier des volets 55, lors du serrage. Elle a aussi un rôle de confort en évitant les points durs sur le chausson. La bande 56 peut être reliée à la base de coque par tout moyen de liaison approprié comme par couture, collage, rivetage ou toute combinaison de ces moyens.Figure 6 shows a construction detail of the shoe according to the invention. In particular, a flexible and foldable protective strip 56 forms, at least in part, the edges of the opening 53 and is connected to at least a portion of the shell base 5. The strip 56 is relatively more flexible than the flaps 55. Preferably, the protective strip 56 serves to double the inside of the flaps 55. The protective strip 56 extends longitudinally at the beyond the flaps and also supports clamping means 86, 87. It therefore has the function of protect the liner against direct support from the rigid parts of the shell base, by particular flaps 55, during tightening. It also has a role of comfort by avoiding the points hard on the shoe. The strip 56 can be connected to the shell base by any connecting means suitable as by sewing, gluing, riveting or any combination of these means.

    De préférence, un rebord 57 de la base de coque est prévu qui borde la bande de protection. L'épaisseur du rebord est suffisante pour que le rebord vienne à fleur ou déborde légèrement de la bande de protection. Le rebord sert à protéger la bande contre l'abrasion. De préférence la bande de protection est réalisée dans un matériau flexible résistant à la traction tel qu'un tissu, une feuille plastique souple, du cuir, etc.Preferably, a rim 57 of the shell base is provided which borders the strip of protection. The thickness of the rim is sufficient for the rim to come flush or overflow slightly from the protective strip. The edge serves to protect the strip against abrasion. Of preferably the protective strip is made of a flexible tensile material such as fabric, flexible plastic sheet, leather, etc.

    Le chausson peut aussi être muni de moyens de serrage 88, dans sa partie tige haute qui agissent en resserrement de la partie haute du chausson. Ceci présente l'avantage de laisser l'avant du haut de la tige en matériau souple et respirant pour une meilleur souplesse de flexion et une bonne ventilation. L'ensemble des moyens de serrage 85, 86, 87 et 88 participe au serrage complet de la chaussure autour du pied et du bas de jambe. Le serrage du cou-de-pied est pris en charge principalement par des moyens de serrage supportés par la base de coque tandis que le serrage du bas de jambe, au dessus de la cheville est pris en charge par des moyens supportés sur le chausson. Les moyens de serrage peuvent être des passants de renvoi, tels que ceux représentés, des sangles crantées ou autoagrippantes, des crochets, des boucles, etc. Une sangle de serrage pourrait aussi être ajoutée autour du collier pour assurer un meilleur serrage de la cheville (moyen non représenté).The liner can also be provided with tightening means 88, in its upper upper part which act by tightening the upper part of the liner. This has the advantage of leaving the front of the top of the upper in flexible and breathable material for better flexibility bending and good ventilation. All the clamping means 85, 86, 87 and 88 participate when the shoe is fully tightened around the foot and lower leg. The tightening of the instep is mainly supported by clamping means supported by the base of shell while the tightening of the lower leg, above the ankle is supported by means supported on the liner. The clamping means can be return loops, such as those shown, notched or hook-and-loop straps, hooks, loops, etc. A tightening strap could also be added around the collar to ensure better tightening of the ankle (means not shown).

    La figure 7 illustre une variante possible de la chaussure 6 de l'invention dans laquelle la proportion de la base de coque 5 est réduite par rapport à la proportion du chausson souple 6. La base de coque comprend une semelle 50 à partir de laquelle se prolonge un contrefort talon 54. Cet ensemble constitue une cavité ouverte vers l'avant servant de berceau de réception d'une partie de chausson souple. Un collier 7, apparaissant en ligne discontinue prolonge, de préférence de manière intégrale, le contrefort talon comme dans le cas qui précède. Le collier est recouvert par une portion de poche 60 du chausson. Il est avantageux que le contrefort talon ne soit pas recouvert par la portion de poche du chausson afin de conserver plus de flexibilité et une meilleure résistance à l'abrasion dans la partie basse de la chaussure. La portion de poche est accrochée sur chaque côté de la base de coque par un moyen de clippage 69 qui maintient la doublure externe souple plaquée contre le collier. La base de coque comprend aussi un contrefort de pointe 51 qui est solidaire du chausson avant montage et qui constitue donc une pièce séparée du reste de la base de coque avant montage. Le chausson comprend une portion de tige souple 62 en matériau pliable, respirant et relativement résistant dont une partie substantielle, de préférence avant et latérale, est laissée libre de façon à favoriser la légèreté et la respirabilité de la chaussure. Le chausson est serré sur le pied à l'aide de moyens de serrage 89 montés sur le coté du chausson. Une boucle de serrage 91 du bas de jambe peut être utilement montée sur le collier pour assurer sa fermeture. Le montage du chausson sur la base de coque se fait au moyen d'une semelle interne, dite 〈〈 première de montage 〉〉 90 (représentée en ligne discontinue). La méthode de montage de la chaussure comprend :

  • le montage du chausson 6 sur la semelle interne 90 à l'aide de moyens d'assemblage en formant un sous-ensemble;
  • FIG. 7 illustrates a possible variant of the shoe 6 of the invention in which the proportion of the shell base 5 is reduced compared to the proportion of the flexible liner 6. The shell base comprises a sole 50 from which extends a heel counter 54. This assembly constitutes a cavity open towards the front serving as a cradle for receiving a portion of flexible liner. A collar 7, appearing in a broken line extends, preferably integrally, the heel counter as in the preceding case. The collar is covered by a pocket portion 60 of the liner. It is advantageous that the heel counter is not covered by the pocket portion of the liner in order to retain more flexibility and better abrasion resistance in the lower part of the shoe. The pocket portion is hung on each side of the shell base by a clipping means 69 which keeps the flexible external lining pressed against the collar. The shell base also includes a point buttress 51 which is integral with the liner before assembly and which therefore constitutes a separate part from the rest of the shell base before assembly. The liner includes a portion of flexible upper 62 made of pliable, breathable and relatively resistant material, a substantial part of which, preferably front and side, is left free so as to promote the lightness and breathability of the shoe. The boot is tightened on the foot using tightening means 89 mounted on the side of the boot. A tightening loop 91 of the lower leg can be usefully mounted on the collar to ensure its closure. The fitting of the liner on the shell base is done by means of an internal sole, called 〈〈 first fitting 〉〉 90 (shown in broken line). The shoe mounting method includes:
  • mounting the liner 6 on the inner sole 90 using assembly means by forming a sub-assembly;
  • mounting this shoe / sole sub-assembly on the shell base 5 using other assembly means.
The assembly means can be chosen from the group comprising: screws, glue, rivet, staple and nail.

Even if this is not the best embodiment of the invention, it cannot also be excluded from considering, if necessary, an articulation between the collar portion and the portion heel counter.
