Definitions
- the present invention relates to combat sports with weapons white, in particular fencing sports, and has as its object a device for detection and signaling of keys in fencing.
- Known devices based on document FR-A-2 280 407 use the capacitive coupling of the body with the earth.
- Each shooter is equipped with a portable radio frequency transmission / reception system and two laptops are weakly paired because each laptop is linked directly to the shooter's body, itself coupled to the ground. So the aforementioned portable devices can dialogue after amplification of informative signals generated.
- the object of the present invention is to overcome, if not all, of the least most of the aforementioned drawbacks and to propose a device can be easily implemented in a wire application overcoming the implementation of a conductive track and in a wireless application, with very reliable key detection.
- the present invention relates to a device for detection and signaling of keys in fencing, in particular the keys with a sword, characterized in that it is mainly constituted, for each adversary, on the one hand, by holding conductive properties over its entire surface, on the other hand, by a conductive fencing mask, provided, if necessary if necessary, light means for signaling keys and, finally, by a weapon, in particular a sword, comprising a shell of insulating material or covered with an insulating material, and at least the point of which is conductive, holding and mask, on the one hand, and the tip at least the weapon, on the other hand, of each opponent, being connected, separately, to a key detection unit, in the form of a device central detection and signaling to which they are connected by a link wired or in the form of a portable unit per adversary, also linked with light signaling means and conductive soles footwear worn by the opponent concerned.
- the key detection and signaling device is mainly consisting, for each opponent 5, 5 ', on the one hand, by a held 1, 1 ', 1' ', 1 "' with conductive properties over its entire surface, on the other hand, by a 2-conductive fencing mask, provided, where appropriate, with means luminous 3, 3 'for signaling keys and, finally, by a weapon 4, in particular a sword, comprising a shell 4 'of insulating material or covered with an insulating material, and whose tip 4 "at least is conductive, holding 1, 1 ', 1' ', 1' '' and mask 2, on the one hand, and the tip 4 " at least weapon 4, on the other hand, of each opponent 5, 5 ', being connected, separately, to a key detection unit 6 or 7, located under the form of a central detection and signaling device 6 to which they are connected by a wire connection 8 or in the form of a portable unit 7 by opponent 5, 5 ′, also connected to the light signaling
- the principle underlying the present invention consists in therefore to propose a new concept of key detection, which results, in particular in the case of the sword, in reversing the problem linked when keys are detected.
- This outfit is either made by elements conductors (jackets, pants) that go over the current outfit, i.e. using an outfit made with a fabric containing fibers or woven in part with common thread, or by treatment of an existing outfit by impregnation, vaporization or any other form of deposit of a material driver.
- the conductive mask 2 is borrowed from the discipline of the saber as well as the fully conductive glove.
- a conductive track 11 in the application wired connection of the invention thus becomes superfluous, which allows a fencing at a significantly reduced cost and facilitates the organization of competitions.
- the mask 2 could possibly be devoid of signaling means 3, 3 '.
- the 1, 1 ', 1 ", 1"' outfit may include surfaces conductors corresponding to the surfaces taken into account for validation keys depending on the weapon 4 concerned, the possible different parts 1, 1 ', 1 ", 1' '' of said outfit, as well as mask 2, being connected electrically between them and to the corresponding unit 6 or 7.
- the light means 3, 3 'for signaling the keys of the mask 2, which in the wireless radio application is the indication decisive for the validation of a key, may consist of electroluminescent means in several parts or in several portions 3 and 3 ', such as sections of electroluminescent fabric or diode arrays electroluminescent, arranged on the front face and the two lateral faces of said mask 2, outside the wearer's normal field of vision mask 2 ( Figures 5A and 5B).
- the soles 9 'conductors which are only necessary in the bondless application wire, can be connected to the portable key detection unit 7 corresponding by connection lines 10 made from wire or fabric insulated conductor, secured or integrated into the structure of the pants 1 being part of the uniform worn by the opponent 5, 5 'concerned, the articles footwear or shoes 9 comprising the aforesaid soles 9 ′ having, if necessary, 9 "rods with electrically insulated conductive surface said soles 9 ', for example by a circumferential strip 9 "' in one flexible insulating material.
- Connection lines 10 could, for example, be consisting of a strip of conductive fabric sandwiched between two insulating and waterproof layers forming a sleeve. These composite tapes can be secured removably on pants 1 (for example by Velcro ribbons - registered name) and be linked electrically to the 9 'soles by snaps (fabric connection conductor / soles).
- the soles 9 ′ may, for example, be constituted as described in the aforementioned document FR-A-2 739 787.
- the device will include preferably, in its wireless link application, a track 11 in one material or with a conductive surface coating, for practical without wire connection.
- the natural grounding of the two adversaries 5, 5 ' may also be sufficient to ensure good operation of the device according to the invention, in particular when only radio transmission is necessary or desired, the only condition being that said conductive insoles 9 'can provide a reference to the units 7 portable detection.
- each portable detection unit 7 is advantageously integrated into a module 12 comprising, mounted in a box 12 'attached to the holding, for example received in a 12 "pocket adapted from the opponent's pants 1 5, 5 ' considered, a microprocessor 13, a serial communication bus 14, a accumulator 15, a connection socket 16 of a connecting wire 16 'connected to the point 4 "of the weapon 4, a connection socket 17 of a connecting wire 17 'connected to the light-emitting signaling means 3, 3 'of the mask 2, a connection socket 18 of a connecting wire 18 'connected to the holding, and a circuit 19 transmission of radio frequency signals at an authorized frequency, by via a 19 'transmit / receive antenna or by through the conductive soles 9 'and a conductive track 11.
- the device according to the invention may also include a central signaling device 6 ′, located for example next to fencing track 11, including a microprocessor 20 connected by a serial bus 21 to signaling lamps 22, to a digital display 23, to a display screen 23 ′, for example to liquid crystal, a programming keyboard and a 24 circuit transmission and reception of radiofrequency signals at frequencies of modules 12 carried by the two adversaries 5, 5 ', associated with one or more 24 'adapted antennas.
- a central signaling device 6 ′ located for example next to fencing track 11, including a microprocessor 20 connected by a serial bus 21 to signaling lamps 22, to a digital display 23, to a display screen 23 ′, for example to liquid crystal, a programming keyboard and a 24 circuit transmission and reception of radiofrequency signals at frequencies of modules 12 carried by the two adversaries 5, 5 ', associated with one or more 24 'adapted antennas.
- modules 12 and devices 6 and 6 can be easily derived by those skilled in the art lessons disclosed in the aforementioned documents.
- the portable key detection units 7 achieve real-time blocking of the opponent's touch after the duration of the fencing time after detection of a touch.
- communication between portable units 7 or between a portable unit 7 and the central unit 6 ′ may be established in different modes, namely, a radio transmission only, transmission through insoles 9 'in contact with the conductive track 11 and connected to the units portable 7 by connection lines 10 (using the provisions described in document FR-A-2 739 787) or a mixed transmission combining the two previous modes.
- the key detection is done as described in the document FR-A-2 280 407 cited above by sending a signal through the tip on the opponent's jacket.
- the outfit detects the key
- the light signal in the mask lights up on the affected side.
- the gun of the hit shooter is deactivated in fencing time allowing perfect double stroke management in time real without resorting to radio transmission.
- Radio transmission is used only to activate the repeaters outside the track.
- the device according to the invention will work perfectly with a conductive track, but it can be used for training without a track by implementing the system described in FR-A-2 280 407 with a difference in size, however, since there is no longer direct contact with the skin.
- the reference is always the sole of the shoe which is coupled naturally grounded.
Abstract
