Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for stapling with at least one stapling station, which has an inlet area and an outlet area, and one Transport device for leading through the inlet area of a number of folded signatures to the stapling station for stapling the number of folded Signatures and to remove the stapled number of folded signatures from the Stapling station through the outlet area.
- saddle stitchers which separate folded printed products, on one Store transport equipment, such as a transport chain or the like, collect and collate and then a stitching station and then optionally a further processing unit, such as an edge cutting device, a Delivery or the like, are known.
- document EP 0 916 514 A1 discloses a typical saddle stitcher with a front and a rear collecting chain as a transport device.
- Folded sheet feeders become individual folded sheets or folded signatures from stacks isolated, opened and placed on the collection chains.
- a guide bar is arranged, the upper portion of which is designed in a cutting shape and whose ridge line defines the transport and stitching line.
- the collecting chains form an essentially roof-shaped support on which the folded sheets or folded signatures are carried astride.
- the collection chains or their drivers run in front and behind the guide bar, so that a folded folded sheet on both legs at the same time is recorded.
- the folded sheets captured by the drivers are indicated by the front and the rear collection chain is transported to a stapling station, in the one on top of the other Folded sheets or a number of folded signatures in the fold with the help of a clip, especially a wire clip.
- a stapling station Serve above the Stitches arranged in the collecting chain and between the collecting chains instead of Guide bar arranged clincher boxes, which the free ends of the Bend the stitching heads through the staples that have been pierced.
- the stapled folded sheets or folded signatures of at least one of the collecting chains for further processing, for example for edge trimming, or for delivery conveyed.
- adjustable devices for guiding collected printed products application.
- machines with continuous Collection chains like various common saddle stitchers from well-known manufacturers, is both the front chain and the rear chain each in height, especially in Dependent on product strength, adjustable.
- Typical guide elements used can, for example, print products from above opposite the sheet metal support, but only to a limited extent prevent the leading ones from tipping or bumping Printed product edges or small inner edges, for example of inserted ones Cards attached to the guide elements moving in the opposite direction to the stapling station. at As a result, various printed products can cause faults in the inlet and outlet of the Stapling area come through stoppers, missing sheets or the like, so often Downtimes of the saddle stitcher result.
- the Front chain of the transport device can be easily removed or removed from the Rest of the machine so that the stapling area is convenient for the operator in the Accessible when required, which is made difficult by a height-adjustable chain guide.
- Small folded signatures or inserted cards tend to tend to do so Measures for bumping against the guides relative to the transport device movable stapling station and for tilting into free, upstream of the stapling station or subordinate areas.
- the opposite front edge of the staple carriage can be used for certain sheet formats capture and damage sheet parts. There can be stoppers occur.
- the object of the present invention is to run the folded sheet or signature in the area the device for stapling and improve the downtime due to interference in the inlet and Shorten the spout of the stitching area.
- the device for stapling comprises at least one stapling station, which has an inlet area and an outlet area, and one Transport device for leading through the inlet area of a number of folded signatures to the stapling station for stapling the number of folded Signatures and to remove the stapled number of folded signatures from the Stapling station through the outlet area. It is characterized by the fact that a Guide element for supporting the number of folded signatures on the transport through the inlet area and / or through the outlet area.
- the subordinate further device can be a display, a Further processing station, such as a cutting device or preferably a Bracket control area.
- the number of folded signatures is preferably supported starting from the side of the transport device through at least one support point, which is essentially in the fold break of the inner signature of the number of folded Signatures.
- the Connection line or support line essentially by the fold break of the number of folded signatures formed. This imaginary (in the case of support points) or real The support line then advantageously coincides with the stitching line.
- a common procedure is during the essentially uniform movement of the number of folded signatures on the Transport device to make a staple by at least the stapling station partially relative to the number of folded signatures at a relative speed is essentially moved with zero. It is then at least part of the stapling station Movable relative to the transport device in such a way that at least during driving a bracket in the number of folded signatures the relative speed between the parts of the stapling station and the number of folded signatures in the is essentially zero.
- the device according to the invention preferably carries out a stapling in the Tracking off, or in other words, it is a device for running stapling.
- the device according to the invention thus includes a moving one Stitching line for concurrent stapling.
- the guide element therefore extends essentially entirely over the section from Entry into the stapling station up to the downstream element.
- the guide element is at least partly as a movable sheet and / or as at least one rod and / or as at least two nested, mutually movable sheets and / or as at least two nested, mutually movable rods and / or as a rope, especially a steel rope.
- it is only a small one Number of simple guide elements required to run the number of to improve folded signatures in the area of the stapling station.
- a device for stapling according to the invention is particularly advantageous combined with a collecting machine or collating machine.
- the transport device extends at least in sections from one of the upstream feeders for separating folded signatures and for storing the isolated signatures on the transport device for the additional Collect and collect the number of folded signatures via the stapling station to the subordinate further facility.
- the use of the device according to the invention for the stapler is particularly advantageous in a saddle stitcher or saddle stitcher.
- Such an inventive Saddle stitcher is characterized in that the saddle stitcher has at least one Device for stapling according to the invention.
- Device the sheet run in the stitching area of the saddle stitcher is improved. Construction-related gaps in the stitching area of the saddle stitcher are bridged.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic view of the outlet area of a stapling station a preferred embodiment of the device for stapling according to the invention.
- the guide element is a preferably coated one that moves with the tacking carriage Steel rope, so that the guidance, support and positional security of printed products in the Staple area by closing the oscillating gaps on the staple carriage is improved.
- the steel cable thus represents a running stitching line.
- 1 in the exit area 4 of the stapling station a rear collecting chain 1, which in the Stapling area of a common stapling machine the transport device for the stapled Print products or the number of folded signatures to be stapled.
- the Transport device moves at a transport speed v.
- the stapling station comprises a stitching carriage 2 and a stitching head 21, through which a stapling the number of signatures transported past.
- the stitching carriage 2 a guide piece 6 is assigned, from which the outlet area 4 extends the rope 5 extends to the outlet of the stitching area 9, a subordinate element.
- a deflection roller 10 is received, by means of which the rope 5 is deflected from the stitching line.
- FIG. 2 is a schematic view of the inlet area 3 of a stapling station a preferred embodiment of the device for stapling according to the invention.
- the transport device in the Infeed area 3 of the stapling station is the transport device by a rear Collection chain 1 formed, which moves at a transport speed v.
- FIG. 1 is shown of the stitching station of the stitching carriage 2 and the stitching head 21. outgoing this extends from the entry of the stitching area 8, which comprises a deflection roller 10 Rope 5 along the stitching line through the entry area 3 to one of the stitching carriage 2 assigned guide piece 6.
- FIG. 3 is a schematic side view of the stitching area with a preferred one Embodiment of the device according to the invention for stapling in a saddle stitcher shown.
- the transport device is removed from the rear collecting chain 1 formed by groups 13 a number of folded signatures 100 with a substantially constant transport speed v at a stapling station, which has a stitching carriage 2 and a stitching head 21, conveyed past.
- a The number of folded signatures often indicates a small printed product or an inserted one Map 101 on.
- stapling takes place with approximate Transport speed v in the idle.
- a number of folded Signatures 100 causes the stapling carriage 2 to oscillate in an area w between a starting point (first extreme point) and an ending point (second Extreme point). If the tacking carriage 2 is contrary to the one by the Transport speed vector v defined direction is moved, arise on Entry area 3 and exit area 4 of the stitching carriage 2 alternately have gaps.
- the rope 5 is in each case on the front and on the rear side of the stitching carriage 2 Guide pieces 6 added and runs essentially along the stitching line 7. It moves at the same speed as the staple carriage 2.
- the infeed of the Binding area 8 is typically formed by a saddle bar, and the outlet of the Stapling area 9 is typically formed by a staple control device.
- the path of the rope 5 becomes the stitching line 7 at the beginning of the inlet area 3 at the inlet in the stitching area 8 and at the end of the outlet area 4 at the outlet from the stitching area 9 deflected by means of essentially fixed deflection rollers 10 and is below the Transport device, the rear collecting chain 1 closed. There are more to that Deflection rollers provided.
- the rope thus extends from a rear guide piece 6 on the tacking carriage 2 via the outlet 9, via deflection rollers to the inlet 8 to one front guide piece 6 on the stitching carriage 2.
- the device has Clamping element 12, which essentially by means of a restoring element constant rope tension and any adjustment movements that may occur, compensates for changes in rope length in particular. It should be emphasized that the tense, continuous rope does not interfere with the drives and movement sequences within the machine or adversely affected.
- FIG. 4 shows a schematic view along the stitching line of the stitching area a preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention for stapling in the number of folded signatures 100 is perpendicular to Paper plane astride the sheet guide plates 11 by means of a driver 13 transported moving carriage 2 past.
- the fold break forms the connecting line the support points or the support line on the rope 5, which along the Issue line 7 runs.
- the path of the rope can be open: with in other words, there is a rope in the inlet area and in the outlet area provided which against a return element or retraction element, such as one Tension spring, a torsion spring, a spring-loaded lever or the like, the support line in Inlet area or in the outlet area forms.
- the path of the rope can also be closed within the stitching carriage, that is, if necessary, by means of Deflection elements run from the front to the rear guide piece.
- the rope can also be designed to be stationary if a deflection from the stitching line within the Sledge is provided. The tack sled can then move relative to the rope To run.
- the device according to the invention for Basically staple printed products, folded sheets or folded signatures from the rope collision-free, avoiding tipping and bumping to the height of the tacking slide or a device downstream of the tacking carriage while avoiding be carried by damage.
- staple carriage stroke or downstream elements are height adjustable, height differences before and after the tack sledge and the clincher area itself by the inventive Guide element better balanced. Machine stoppers and machine failures decrease, the product run is quieter and there is a safe control of the clamps possible.
