Description
The invention relates to a method for producing printed products, in which paper is folded in a folding device and the folded paper is transported away for further processing by means of a conveying device and stacked on top of one another in a collecting device. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device for performing the method.
A method and a device of the type mentioned at the outset are known in practice. In this process, paper from a roll, or cut sheets of paper, is printed by a printer according to a specific scheme, the imposition scheme. The imposition scheme characterizes the page sequence on the sheet. A conveying device, for example a conveyor belt, transports the paper sheets to a folding device in which the sheets are folded for use according to a certain type of folding, in such a way that the successive pages of the printed product are already superimposed in the correct order. This benefit is folded in a certain batch size and stored temporarily. Then the next or the next use with the following pages is folded in the same lot sizes and temporarily stored. In a further step, the different benefits are stacked on top of one another in the correct order and fed to further processing.
Due to the many funding processes and funding channels, a large number of funding facilities are required for the process. Furthermore, there is a large storage area for intermediate storage the benefit needed. As a result, the process is very time-consuming, cost-intensive and inflexible.
Furthermore, DE 29 21 816 C2 describes a mail handling device in which paper is folded in a folding device, the folded paper is fed to a collecting device by means of a conveyor device and is stacked on top of one another in this collecting device.
Against this background, the object of the invention is to provide a method for carrying out this method, by means of which the production of printed products is considerably simplified. In particular, high demands on flexibility and speed should be realizable. Furthermore, the invention has for its object to provide an apparatus for performing the method.
The first-mentioned object is achieved by the features of patent claim 1.
According to the invention, a method is thus provided in which the folded paper is cut into a plurality of panels in the conveying direction and the individual panels are fed to the collecting device at different speeds along mutually parallel movement paths aligned with the conveying direction, the relative speed between adjacent panels in one of the Conveyor deviating direction of conveyance of the collecting device decreases continuously. As a result, different uses with different page sequences can be produced within a work sequence and separated by conveying at different speeds, in order to then be stacked in the correct order in the collecting device. Intermediate storage of the benefits and subsequent compilation of the individual benefits in the correct order is no longer necessary. The individual benefits do not reach the collection facility at the same time, but one after the other. The subsequent benefits are placed one after the other on the first benefit and thereby form the individual levels of unity. This considerably simplifies the production of printed products, while at the same time high demands on flexibility and speed can be met.
A further particularly advantageous embodiment of the method is achieved in that the benefits are moved from one conveying element into the one below Collecting device are stored in which a funding of the collecting device promotes the respective benefit or stack of benefits in the path of movement of the following benefit, so that it is deposited on the benefit or stack of benefits. As a result, the benefits conveyed at different speeds are fed to the collecting device in a particularly simple manner, brought into the correct position in the latter and thereby stacked one above the other in the correct order. The quickest benefit first falls from the conveying element into the collecting device and is conveyed to the position in which the parallel, temporally displaced, second benefit falls into the collecting device. The second benefit falls in the collection facility on the underlying first benefit. This stack of benefits is then conveyed to the next position, in which the process is repeated for the subsequent benefits.
An expedient development of the method is achieved in that the first unit is placed on a stationary element of the collecting device, at least one further unit being placed on the first unit before it is sent for further processing. This makes it possible to stack several units on top of each other. For example, the first four panels are stacked on top of one another and placed on a stationary element of the collecting device. On this stationary element, the first unit waits for a second unit, which also consists of four benefits, which however differ from the benefits of the first unit. This second unit is then placed on top of the first unit so that eight panels are stacked in the correct order.
The second-mentioned task of creating a device with a folding device for folding paper and with a conveying device and with a collecting device in which the folded paper can be stacked on top of one another to carry out the method is achieved according to the invention in that behind the folding device there is a A cutting device is arranged, by means of which the folded paper can be cut into a plurality of panels in the conveying direction, each of which is assigned a movement path of a conveying element oriented parallel to the conveying direction, so that the individual panels can be fed at different speeds to the collecting device arranged behind the conveying element. By means of the device according to the invention, several panels with different page sequences are produced simultaneously and stacked on top of one another in the correct order. There is no need to transport the goods to an interim storage facility and to put them together and sort them in the correct order. By cutting by means of the cutting device, the benefits are produced in a simple manner, and by means of the conveying element the juxtaposed benefits are separated at different speeds and stacked in the collecting device.
A particularly advantageous embodiment of the device is created in that a second collecting device is arranged under the first collecting device, the first collecting device partially covering the second collecting device. The additional second collecting device allows several units to be stacked on top of one another. A first unit is stacked on the first collecting device, which is then subsequently placed on the collecting device arranged below. Another, second unit, which is also stacked in the first collecting device, can then be placed on the first unit. In this way, all the benefits required for a complete book can be stored one above the other in the intended order by means of the device.
It has proven to be particularly practical that the collection facilities are each assigned funding for transporting the stacked benefits. The conveying means arranged in the first collecting device ensures that the stored benefits are transported into the path of movement of the respective subsequent benefits. Here, the speed of the conveying means is matched to the speed of the conveying element in such a way that the benefit already stored in the collecting device is at exactly the right time in the position in which the second benefit can be placed on the first benefit. The conveying means arranged in the second collecting device then transports the units stacked on top of one another for further processing.
It is furthermore particularly expedient if the ratio between a conveying speed of the conveying means of the first collecting device and a conveying speed of the conveying means of the second collecting device can be adjusted in accordance with the number of units to be stacked, in order to further optimize the stack formation in the shortest possible time sequence.
Another particularly advantageous embodiment of the device is also achieved in that the second collecting device has a stationary element on which a first and at least one subsequent unit can be stacked one above the other by means of the first collecting device. The benefits already stacked into one unit are placed on this stationary element until all subsequent units are stacked on top of one another. Subsequently, these units are conveyed away from the stationary surface for further processing by the conveying means of the second collecting device.
Another expedient development of the device is achieved in that the cutting device is designed to be adjustable for differently wide uses. This makes it possible to produce printed products, for example books, with different formats.
It has proven to be particularly practical that the cutting device is automatically adjustable. This significantly simplifies the manufacturing process and avoids possible sources of error in manual adjustment.
Another expedient development of the device is achieved in that the conveying element comprises individually controllable conveying segments. As a result, the various benefits in their trajectories can be promoted at different speeds. With a wide range of segments, segments can be combined into a movement path and driven at the same speed.
It has proven to be particularly practical that the conveyor segments each have a rotating conveyor belt, in particular a belt or a belt. This increases operational safety. In addition, conveyor belts for various purposes are readily available.

Figure 1 shows a device 1 for the production of printed products. For this purpose, the device 1 has a
The cutting
After cutting, the juxtaposed
