Abstract

The door or window has a frame (1,2) for the panel of wood or similar material, with an outer metal cladding profile. A force fit bond between the panel frame and the glass mounting bar (3) is formed by a profiled groove (4) or a metal/plastics profile around them. The structure is secured by additional metal clips (8), and the assembly is ventilated externally. A strip (9) takes up tolerances in the insulating glass pane (7) thickness.

Description

The invention relates to a window or a door with the casement made of wood or a wood-like material and is also metallic on the outside Can wear cover profiles.

In the case of windows or doors whose casement frames are made of wood or a material similar to wood, the built-in glazing is held by glazing beads. In the conventional design of such glazing, the glazing bead is cut as precisely as possible into the glass rebate and connected to the casement by hidden nailing in the silicone rebate or by screws.
It is known that when glazing window elements, the glass rebate must be ventilated from the cold outside in order to ensure vapor pressure compensation for the glass rebate cavity.
In the above-mentioned conventional type of glazing bead attachment, there is often a gap between the casement and the glazing bead. This joint results partly from inaccuracies when fitting the glazing beads, partly from warping or twisting of the already installed glazing beads. The resulting joint allows warm and humid indoor air to get into the outside and therefore cold glass rebate, where the warm air in the room condenses and therefore the wood sash frame in the glazing rebate area increases in moisture. This increase in moisture should be avoided due to the durability and longevity of the wooden window. Furthermore, for optical reasons, the formation of joints between the glazing bead and casement should be prevented.

The invention is therefore based on the object of a connection between the To create sash frames and the glazing bead, which form a joint between them prevented and thereby seals the glass rebate cavity to the inside. By such Construction should also achieve a higher joint tightness of the window or door system become.

The invention solves the problem in that the casement and the glazing bead are non-positively connected by a corresponding groove profile. This construction prevents the formation of gaps between the casement frame and glazing bead and at the same time seals the glazing rebate cavity to the inside.
As a second solution to the problem, a non-positive connection between the sash frame and the glazing bead is produced by a profile made of plastic or metal. When using a plastic profile for fastening, it is advantageous if it has an extruded seal on the side facing the glass and thus additionally seals the glass rebate cavity.
The all-round connection between the casement and the glazing bead ensures a very good seal between the room air and the glazing rebate cavity. The additional measures remain low due to the proposed measures and can be realized with the known manufacturing machines.
