Gleichzeitig ist aufgrund der Konstruktionsart dieses Steckverbindermoduls eine problemlose Zusammenfassung von mehreren geschirmten Steckverbindermodulen, mit voneinander unabhängigen Erdpotenzialen sowie auch mit Steckverbindermodulen, die eine Leistungsversorgung, Pneumatik oder dergleichen übertragen, ohne gegenseitige Beeinflussung gewährleistet.
Das Steckverbindermodul besteht aus einem Haltekörper in dem ein elektrisch leitendes Schalengehäuse mit einem D-sub Steckereinsatz verrastet ist.
Das Schirmgeflecht eines abgeschirmten Kabels wird mittels einer Schraubschelle mit dem Schalengehäuse verbunden.
