Abstract

A foldable worksurface (20) is connected to a furniture unit (2) and is capable of being folded and stored in a cavity (18) of the furniture unit when not in use. The worksurface and/or the furniture unit are provided with movement means (32) for moving the worksurface between a first stored position, wherein the worksurface is folded and located in the cavity of the furniture unit, and a second position, wherein the folded worksurface extends from the furniture unit and is capable of being unfolded. The movement means are directly or indirectly connected to an interior surface or surfaces of the furniture unit defining said cavity via frame means.
