BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to an electric cold and
hot water dispenser, and more particularly, to an electric cold
and hot water dispenser with a detachable cold water reservoir,
in which a conventional cold water reservoir constructed to have
cold and hot water pipes connected therewith and to have a
refrigerant circulation coil constructed in an integral type
therewith is easily separated for easy washing, in which washing
and cleaning can be provided by oneself so as to, at all times,
provide a clean spring water for drinkables, and in which an
effective sanitary management can be made and a cost reduction
can be effected.
Description of the Related Art
As an urbanization and industrialization is gradually
developed, an environmental contamination is problematically
appeared, and as a modern person's life is abundant, cleanness
and health are highlighted as high concerns. Accordingly, a
water-purifying apparatus and the like for purifying service
water for drinkables have been increasingly popularized.
Recently, spring water is provided in such a manner
that after a relatively good quality of water is gathered from a
nature so as to be stored in a predetermined airtight tank and be
supplied for each of consuming houses within a predetermined
distribution time limit.
Such spring water is provided in an electric cold and
hot water dispenser installed for a user's easy manipulation, in
such a manner that water supplied from a spring water reservoir
can be rapidly cooled or heated so as to provide the cooled or
heated spring water. FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a
conventional integral type of an electric cold and hot water
dispenser.
As shown in FIG. 1, the conventional integral type of
the electric cold and hot water dispenser 10 includes a cold
water reservoir 11 for storing water provided therein; a
refrigerant circulation coil 12 encompassing the cold water
reservoir 11, for cooling the provided water; a hot water
reservoir connection pipe 13 connected with one surface of a
lower part of the cold water reservoir 11 so as to provide a hot
water reservoir 15 with hot water; a cold water pipe 14 connected
with the other surface of the lower part of the cold water
reservoir 11 so as to provide water cooled by the refrigerant
circulation coil 12; and a hot water reservoir 15 for storing the
hot water therein prior to providing the hot water for a hot
water pipe 16.
Herein, the hot water pipe 16 represents all pipes
connected until the hot water is provided from the hot water
reservoir connection pipe 13 and the hot water reservoir 15, and
the cold water pipe 14 also represents all pipes connected until
the cold water is provided.
Specifically, the conventional electric cold and hot
dispenser 10 has drawbacks in which, since the cold water
reservoir 11 has the refrigerant circulation coil 12 welded
thereto, it cannot be separated from the cold and hot water
dispenser 10, and in which since the cold water reservoir 11 is
connected integrally with the hot water reservoir connection pipe
13 and the cold water pipe 14, a possible careless sanitation
management can result in a problematic insanitation caused by
bacterium, etc.
Further, the conventional electric cold and hot
dispenser has a drawback in which, at the time of washing the
cold water reservoir 11 or connection valves of the hot water
pipe 16 and the cold water pipe 14, a regular washing service
should be requested, and accordingly washing service times is
relatively rare in comparison with personal washing times thereby
resulting in a more critical problematic insanitation.
Furthermore, the conventional electric cold and hot
dispenser has a drawback in which a cost burden is caused by a
washing service request.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Reference will now be made in detail to the preferred
embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are
illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present
invention will be described in detail with reference to
accompanying drawings.
FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating an electric
cold and hot water dispenser with a detachable cold water
reservoir according to one preferred embodiment of the present
invention.
Referring to FIG. 2, the inventive electric cold and
hot water dispenser with a detachable cold water reservoir
includes a detachable cold water reservoir 21 be easily separated
and detached from a cooling reservoir 21a having a refrigerant
circulation coil 22 welded thereto and having hot and cold water
pipes 26 and 24 connected therewith; the cooling reservoir 21a
for supporting the cold water reservoir 21; the refrigerant
circulation coil 22 encompassing the cooling reservoir 21a, for
cooling water supplied; a hot water reservoir connection pipe 23
connected to a lower part of the cold water reservoir 21 and the
cooling reservoir 21a so as to supply a hot water reservoir 25
with hot water; a cold water pipe 24 connected to the lower part
of the cold water reservoir 21 and the cooling reservoir 21a so
as to supply water cooled by the refrigerant circulation coil 22;
and the hot water reservoir 25 for storing the hot water therein
prior to providing the hot water for the hot water pipe 26.
Herein, the hot water pipe 26 represents all pipes
connected until the hot water is provided from the hot water
reservoir connection pipe 23 and the hot water reservoir 25, and
the cold water pipe 24 represents all pipes connected until the
cold water is provided.
In particular, the inventive electric cold and hot
water dispenser, unlike the conventional electric cold and hot
water dispenser, is constructed to have the cold water reservoir
21 detachably connected within the cooling reservoir 21a
encompassed by the refrigerant circulation coil 22.
For example, the cold water reservoir 21 can be mainly
separated into upper and lower parts. The upper and lower parts
have all concentric configurations, but a radius of the upper
part is larger than that of the lower part. And, the radius of
the lower part of the cold water reservoir 21 is almost the same
as that of the cooling reservoir 21a for supporting the cold
water reservoir 21.
Further, in a fitting part of the cold water reservoir
21 with the cooling reservoir 21a, that is, in a coupling part
between the upper and lower parts of the cold water reservoir 21,
a groove is formed, and the lower part of the cold water
reservoir 21 having a rounded surface connected with the groove
is fittingly connected with the cooling reservoir 21a.
Therefore, the cold water reservoir 21 can be fitted
and assembled into the cooling reservoir 21a until the upper end
of the cooling reservoir 21a is in contact with the groove part
of the cold water reservoir 21, and when disassembled, an
external force can be applied to the groove part so as to lift up
and detach the cold water reservoir 21.
Accordingly, since the cold water reservoir 21 and the
cooling reservoir 21a can be separated from each other, in case
bacterium or unsanitary dusty impurities are held in the cold
water reservoir 21 of a water purifying apparatus and the
electric cold and hot water dispenser, whenever necessary, the
cold water reservoir 21 can be pulled out for cleaning or
washing.
Herein, the cold water reservoir 21 and the cooling
reservoir 21a for supporting the cold water reservoir 21 can be
formed of different materials.
For example, the cold water reservoir 21 is formed of
plastic, and the cooling reservoir 21a supporting the plastic
cold water reservoir 21 can be formed of metal or alloy such as
stainless steel.
Further, the cold water reservoir 21 and the cooling
reservoir 21a supporting the cold water reservoir 21 can be both
all formed of the same material such as stainless steel.
Hereinafter, it can be appreciated in detail how the
inventive electric cold and hot water dispenser can be separated.
FIG. 3 is a disassembled perspective view illustrating
an electric cold and hot water dispenser with a detachable cold
water reservoir according to one preferred embodiment of the
present invention.
As shown in FIG. 3, the inventive electric cold and
hot water dispenser includes the cold water pipe 24 for supplying
the cold water cooled by the refrigerant circulation coil; a male
screw 26a for connecting the cold water pipe 24 with the cold
water reservoir 21 and the cooling reservoir 21a; a female screw
26b connected with the male screw 26a so as to connect the cold
water reservoir 21 with the cold water pipe 24; and fitting
members 25a, 25c installed between the female screw 26b and the
male screw 26a so as to seal a water-leakage space of the cold
water reservoir 21.
Further, the hot water reservoir connection pipe 23
and the hot water reservoir 25 connected therewith for storing
the hot water can be easily separated from each other in a
screwed connection way using connection screws 27a, 27b and
fitting members 25b, 25d for sealing the water-leakage space of
the cold water reservoir 21.
Furthermore, in the cold water pipe 24 and the cold
water reservoir 21, there is provided a locking/unlocking cover
29 such that they can be easily locked or unlocked in the screwed
connection way using the male screw 26a and the female screw 26b.
Furthermore, the refrigerant circulation coil 22
encompassing the cooling reservoir 21a can be separated from each
other.
In the above-constructed electric cold and hot water
dispenser according to the present invention, since the cold
water reservoir can be easily separated from the hot and cold
water pipes, whenever necessary, it can be easily washed.
Accordingly, water can be maintained to be in a clean
and sanitary state with direct relation to our health.
FIGs. 4A to 4C are upper elevation views illustrating
the electric cold and hot water dispenser with the detachable
cold water reservoir according to one preferred embodiment of the
present invention.
FIG. 4A illustrates the upper elevation view of the
electric cold and hot water dispenser according to the present
invention.
Referring to FIG. 4A, the cold water reservoir 21 and
the cooling reservoir 21a are connected with the cold water pipe
24 in the screwed connection way using the fitting member, and
also are connected with the hot water pipe 26 through the hot
water reservoir connection pipe 23 in the screwed connection way
of using the fitting member. It is illustrated that the electric
cold and hot water dispenser is constructed in such a precise
configuration that water leakage is prevented as in the
conventional integral type of the electric cold and hot water
dispenser.
FIG. 4B illustrates only the detachable cold water
reservoir 21. In FIG. 4B, in a state before the hot and cold
water pipes are connected with the cooling reservoir, there are
illustrated hole-typed connection parts.
FIG. 4C individually illustrates only the cooling
reservoir 21a for supporting the cold water reservoir 21. In FIG.
4C, the cooling reservoir 21a has a hole-typed connection part
for the cold water pipe 24 through which the female screw 26b of
the cold water pipe can be just pulled out, and has a hole-typed
connection part for the hot water reservoir connection pipe 23
through which a hot water reservoir connection screw can be
inserted.
FIG. 5 is a disassembled perspective view illustrating
an electric cold and hot water dispenser with a detachable cold
water reservoir according to another preferred embodiment of the
present invention.
As shown in FIG. 5, the electric cold and hot water
dispenser according to another embodiment of the present
invention is, as in the embodiment of FIGs. 2 to 4, constructed
such that the cold water reservoir 21 can be detachably separated
from the cooling reservoir 21a, the cold water pipe 24 and the
hot water reservoir connection pipe 23.
However, the electric cold and hot water dispenser of
FIG. 5 is differentiated from the electric cold and hot water
dispenser of FIG. 4 in its construction in that connection pipes
of the cold water pipe 24 can be separated using a connector 28
such that the unsanitary dusty impurities (bacterium and rusts)
can be eliminated from the connection pipes.
The connector 28 can be constructed in the screwed
connection way or in a bolt-nut connection way such that the
connection pipes of the cold water pipe 24 can be separated
therefrom.
Accordingly, whenever necessary, the washing or
cleaning can be made thereby improving a clean state in the water
purifying apparatus or/and the electric cold and hot water
dispenser.
As described above, the inventive electric cold and
hot water dispenser is constructed such that the cold water
reservoir can be easily separated so as to, upon necessary,
easily perform the washing thereon.
Further, the inventive electric cold and hot water
dispenser is constructed such that the connection pipes of the
cold water pipe can be easily separated using the connector such
that the unsanitary dusty impurities (bacterium and rusts) can be
eliminated from the connection pipes.
As a result, since the cold water reservoir and the
connection pipe can be maintained to be in a constant clean state
and can be easily separated for consumer's personal cleaning and
washing, the sanitary clean spring water can be always provided
for drinkables, and an effective sanitation management can be not
only made, but also the cost reduction effect can be achieved.
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that
various modifications and variations can be made in the present
invention. Thus, it is intended that the present invention
covers the modifications and variations of this invention
provided they come within the scope of the appended claims and
their equivalents.
