Abstract

An exhaust gas treatment device comprises a catalyst chamber (20) having two halves (21, 22) forming an exhaust gas channel (23) which is formed as one part in the chamber halves. Preferred Features: The device has an outer housing (10) which is divided into gas-tight regions (18, 19) by the catalyst chamber. An exhaust gas outlet opening (25) of the exhaust gas channel is arranged on the end facing away from the catalyst element (33). Air passages are provided in a front shell (11) for allowing fresh air to pass into the exhaust gas treatment device.
