  • EP 1 693 933 A1 proposes the use of a connection module with connection elements to which the wires of the cable can be connected.
  • the connection module with the connected wires can then be brought together with a connection module having the contact elements, so that an electrical connection between the connection elements and the contact elements is produced.
  • a shield plate is then pushed over the connection module and the connection module. After that, a previously about the Cable pushed outer housing pushed over the connection module and the enclosing shield plate. Finally, a union nut is screwed onto the rear end region of the outer housing. This will set the cable on the connector.

  • the shield contact part is preferably arranged on the inside of the cable clamping element. It may be rigidly connected to the cable clamping element. However, it is particularly advantageous if the screen contact part forms an independent component. It can be provided, for example, that the shield contact part forms a metal-made casting, which is floatingly mounted on the housing of the connection module and can be pressed against the cable by the cable clamping element of the strain relief.
  • the Jardinklemmelement can, as already explained above, be locked in at least one clamping position, and thereby also the shield contact part immovably be fixed to the outside of the cable arranged shield.
  • RJ45 type connectors were originally used only for the transmission of telephone signals having a relatively low frequency.
  • the signal coupling between different pairs of wires can be kept particularly low by the connection module has a plurality of chambers, each receiving a pair of wires.
  • the chambers are mechanically and preferably also electrically separated. They can be mutually shielded, for example. The provision of the chambers reduces signal coupling between different wire pairs.
  • each receiving a pair of wires has the advantage that the connection of the wires to the connection module can be done very easily. In particular, the danger is reduced that the wires are connected incorrectly. The installer only has to ensure that the respective electrical signal transmitting pairs of wires are introduced into a chamber.
  • connection module has a printed circuit board on which the connection elements are held, wherein the circuit board has contact members which are electrically connected to a respective connection element and each of a contact element of the connection module can be contacted.
  • the printed circuit board can comprise conductor tracks in the usual way, via which the electrical signals can be transmitted from the connection elements to the contact members.
  • the circuit board may carry capacitances and / or inductors to compensate for potential signal coupling between different pairs of wires.
  • the printed circuit board has electrical conductor tracks in at least two planes, for example on its upper side and its lower side.
  • Such circuit boards are known in the art as so-called "multi-layer”.
  • connection module It is particularly advantageous if connecting elements are held both on the upper side and on the underside of the printed circuit board. This allows a particularly compact design of the connection module.
  • connection elements are preferably pressed into the printed circuit board. This allows a high mechanical strength of the connection elements, without thereby affecting the electrical connection between the connection elements and the conductor tracks of the printed circuit board. In addition, the production costs of the connection module can be kept low by the pressing of the connection elements in the circuit board.
  • connection elements can be configured, for example, as insulation displacement terminals. It is particularly advantageous, however, if the connecting elements are designed as piercing contacts. Such piercing contacts have a piercing tip, which each penetrates a wire of the cable and thereby produces an electrical contact.
  • the contact elements of the connection module are directly electrically connected to the contact members of the circuit board.
  • the contact members in the form of contact pads (“pads") are configured and the contact elements of the connection module each have a contact spring which can be applied under elastic deformation to a contact pad of the circuit board. There is thus a non-positive contacting of the contact elements on the circuit board. Starting from a wire of the cable, an electrical signal can thus be transmitted directly to the contact element via the connection element and the printed circuit board.
  • the contact springs of the contact elements can each contact a contact field of the printed circuit board electrically and mechanically, wherein the contact springs deform elastically.
  • connection module has at least one connection block with openings, in each of which a core of the cable can be inserted and which are aligned in each case to a connection element, wherein the connection block held on the circuit board between a mounting position and a contact position movable is, wherein the connecting elements in the mounting position of the terminal block release the openings for inserting the wires and wherein the connecting elements in the contact position of the terminal block dive into the openings for establishing an electrical connection between a respective vein and a connection element.
  • connection module For connecting the wires to the connection module, in such an embodiment, it is only necessary to insert the wires in each case into an opening of the at least one connection block, which first assumes its mounting position, and then to move the connection block into its contact position. In this position, a connecting element dips into each opening of the terminal block and establishes an electrical connection with the respective wire, which was previously introduced into the opening.
  • the terminal block can be configured as a plastic molding and can carry a label that makes it easier for the fitter to insert the cores with the correct assignment in the openings.
  • connection module has two terminal blocks, between which the printed circuit board is arranged, which carries on its upper side and on its underside connecting elements.
  • the use of two terminal blocks, between which the circuit board is arranged, has the advantage that the terminal blocks can be pressed against each other after the insertion of the wires in the openings of the terminal blocks, so that they pass from their mounting position to their contact position and thereby the electrical connection between the wires and the connecting elements is made.
  • the printed circuit board, which is arranged between the two terminal blocks is subject to very little mechanical stress since the terminal blocks support one another. The risk of damage to the circuit board or the connection elements in the transition of the terminal blocks from their mounting position in their contact position is kept very low.
  • such a design of the connector facilitates the connection of a cable, without the need for special tool must be used.
  • the terminal blocks can slide along the transition from their mounting position to their contact position on the guide part. It is particularly favorable if the terminal blocks can be fixed to the guide part in the assembly position. For example, it can be provided that the terminal blocks in the mounting position with the guide part are releasably latched. After the wires have been inserted into the openings of the terminal blocks, they can be pressed against one another, with the detent connection between the guide part and the terminal blocks being canceled. It is particularly advantageous if the terminal blocks can be latched in their contact position with the guide member.
  • the guide part can dip into a recess of the terminal blocks.
  • the recess is preferably arranged centrally in the respective connection block.
  • the terminal blocks each have four openings for insertion of a first pair of wires and a second pair of wires, and provided for the guide part recess may be disposed between the openings for the first wire pair and the openings for the second wire pair.
  • the guide part which dips into the recess, separates the first wire pair from the second wire pair.
  • the terminal blocks thus each define two brackets, which are separated from each other by means of the guide member.
  • the guide part forms a dividing wall which projects perpendicularly from the printed circuit board between two pairs of connecting elements.
  • the guide part formed as a partition wall can form an electrical shield, which is arranged between two pairs of connecting elements and thereby reduces a signal coupling between different wire pairs.
  • the connection module can be inserted into the housing of the connection module.
  • the housing can form a shaft with a front in the insertion direction of the connection module Schachtab- cut which receives a front printed circuit board area of the printed circuit board on which the contact pads are arranged, and with a rear shaft portion which receives a rear printed circuit board area on which the connecting elements and the at least one terminal block are held.
  • the contact springs of the contact elements can be immersed in the front shaft section so that they can electrically and mechanically contact a contact field arranged on the front printed circuit board area when the connection module is inserted into the shaft.

Description

ELEKTRISCHER VERBINDUNGSSTECKER
