Description

La présente invention se rapporte au domaine des documents de sécurité.The present invention relates to the field of security documents.

Arrière-planBackground

Methods based on retinal persistence to allow movement to be restored are known from the prior art. For example, the phenakistiscope is known, which uses a cardboard disc, pierced with slots, on which a movement is decomposed into a series of still images, and a handle allowing it to be held during its rotation. We also know the zootrope which consists of a drum pierced with slits on its upper half and sheltering inside, in its lower part, a band of drawings decomposing a movement. When one rotates the drum and stares intently through the slots, the drawings become animated. We still know the praxinoscope, whose operation is based on the principle of zoetrope, which has several mirrors around its central axis to visualize the illusion of movement.

In addition, processes for creating motion illusions described in the documents are known. US 5,901,484 , US 6,286,873 and US 2005/0183300 . These methods, in particular that described in US 5,901,484 , exploit the principle of decomposition of the movement allowing the restitution of a movement "to frames". A support carries a plurality of fragmented images, corresponding for example to the decomposition of an object or a moving animal, and a transparent film carrying a network of parallel lines having a thickness and a spacing between the given lines is placed on the support. A relative movement between fragmented images and the network of parallel lines creates the illusion of movement.

It is also known to superpose, by folding a document, two elements. Requirement WO 2006/029744 A1 describes in particular the superposition, by folding of a document, of two optical elements for obtaining different optical effects depending on the distance separating said optical elements. Requirement US 2003/0137145 describes superimposing a security element and an authentication element by folding a document, the security element and the authentication element being Moire patterns. Moreover, the demand WO 02/17242 A1 describes the superposition, by folding a document, of a hologram and hidden information to reveal said hidden information. Finally, the demand US 2006-0290136 A1 discloses superimposing, by folding a document, an encoded image and an optical lens to decode said image.

Résumésummary

Afin de se prémunir de contrefaçons ou de falsifications de documents de sécurité et afin d'augmenter le niveau de sécurisation de ces documents, il est connu d'y incorporer divers éléments de sécurité permettant l'authentification des documents. In order to guard against counterfeits or falsifications of security documents and to increase the level of security of these documents, it is known to incorporate various security elements for the authentication of documents.

Il existe un besoin pour renforcer encore la sécurité et les processus d'authentification des documents de sécurité, afin notamment d'augmenter la difficulté de contrefaçon de ces documents. There is a need to further strengthen the security and authentication processes of security documents, in particular to increase the difficulty of counterfeiting of these documents.

L'invention se propose ainsi notamment d'exploiter le principe de la décomposition en mouvement exposé précédemment afin de pouvoir authentifier les documents de sécurité par la visualisation par exemple de mouvements décomposés, provoquant ainsi une illusion de mouvement. The invention thus proposes, in particular, to exploit the principle of the decomposition in motion set out above in order to be able to authenticate the security documents by visualizing, for example, decomposed movements, thereby causing an illusion of movement.

L'invention a ainsi pour objet, selon l'un de ses aspects, un document de sécurité selon la revendication 1.The invention thus has, according to one of its aspects, a security document according to claim 1.

Par « associée », il faut comprendre que le moyen de révélation est avantageusement adapté pour permettre de visualiser les différentes images imbriquées de l'image combinée.By "associated", it should be understood that the means of revelation is advantageously adapted to allow viewing the different nested images of the combined image.

Le document similaire peut par exemple être semblable dans sa fonction et/ou dans sa forme au document selon l'invention. Par exemple, les deux documents peuvent être des billets de banque, avec par exemple la même valeur fiduciaire. Les deux documents peuvent ne se différencier l'un de l'autre que par un numéro de série par exemple. The similar document may for example be similar in its function and / or in its form to the document according to the invention. For example, both documents may be bank notes, for example with the same fiduciary value. The two documents can be differentiated from each other only by a serial number for example.

Le document similaire peut avantageusement ainsi comporter un moyen de révélation et/ou une image combinée pouvant respectivement être associés à l'image combinée et/ou au moyen de révélation du document selon l'invention. The similar document may advantageously thus comprise a revelation means and / or a combined image that can respectively be associated with the combined image and / or the means of revealing the document according to the invention.

Grâce à l'invention, il est ainsi possible de bénéficier d'un document de sécurité présentant une nouvelle structure d'authentification du document consistant en la restitution d'images imbriquées, provoquant par exemple l'illusion d'un mouvement, par superposition et déplacement relatif d'une image combinée et d'un moyen de révélation, en particulier une trame de révélation ou un réseau lenticulaire, et/ou changement d'angle d'observation du moyen de révélation, en particulier un réseau lenticulaire, et de l'image combinée superposés.Thanks to the invention, it is thus possible to benefit from a security document presenting a new document authentication structure consisting of the reproduction of nested images, causing for example the illusion of a movement, by superposition and relative displacement of a combined image and a revelation means, in particular a revelation screen or a lenticular network, and / or a change of angle observational means of the revelation means, in particular a lenticular array, and the superimposed combined image.

Le déplacement relatif de l'image combinée et du moyen de révélation peut permettre d'observer successivement les images imbriquées, notamment en animant le moyen de révélation d'un mouvement relatif dans un plan parallèle au plan contenant l'image combinée.The relative displacement of the combined image and the revelation means can make it possible to successively observe the nested images, in particular by animating the revelation means with a relative movement in a plane parallel to the plane containing the combined image.

De préférence, l'image combinée et le moyen de révélation sont superposés de manière à être en contact.Preferably, the combined image and the revealing means are superimposed so as to be in contact.

Ledit déplacement relatif est en particulier une translation.Said relative displacement is in particular a translation.

Grâce à l'invention, il est encore possible de conférer un effet ludique et/ou attractif à l'utilisateur du document de sécurité dont l'authentification repose sur un effet de révélation d'images imbriquées, créant par exemple un effet de mouvement. Thanks to the invention, it is still possible to impart a playful and / or attractive effect to the user of the security document whose authentication relies on a revelation effect of nested images, creating for example a motion effect.

L'observation successive des images imbriquées peut se faire en lumière transmise, l'image combinée et la trame de révélation étant placées entre une source lumineuse et l'observateur, et/ou en lumière réfléchie, l'observateur regardant l'image combinée et la trame de révélation éclairées en réflexion par une source lumineuse. The successive observation of the nested images can be done in transmitted light, the combined image and the revelation frame being placed between a light source and the observer, and / or in reflected light, the observer looking at the combined image and the revelation frame illuminated in reflection by a light source.

L'image combinée, et les images imbriquées qu'elle comporte, peuvent être des images tramées.The combined image, and the nested images that it comprises, can be raster images.

L'image combinée peut correspondre à la décomposition d'un mouvement d'un motif, par exemple d'un texte, de signes alphanumériques, d'idéogrammes, d'un objet, d'une personne et/ou d'un animal. Les images imbriquées peuvent représenter des positions successives et/ou mouvements successifs d'un motif, par exemple d'un objet, d'une personne et/ou d'un animal. The combined image may correspond to the decomposition of a movement of a pattern, for example text, alphanumeric signs, ideograms, an object, a person and / or an animal. The nested images can represent successive positions and / or successive movements of a pattern, for example an object, a person and / or an animal.

L'image combinée peut avantageusement être obtenue par la superposition des images imbriquées représentant chacune un mouvement du motif. The combined image may advantageously be obtained by the superposition of the nested images each representing a movement of the pattern.

Les images imbriquées peuvent représenter des informations cachées et révélées successivement par déplacement relatif, en particulier par translation, du moyen de révélation sur l'image combinée et/ou changement de l'angle d'observation du moyen de révélation superposé à l'image combinée.The nested images may represent information hidden and revealed successively by relative displacement, in particular by translation, of the revelation means on the combined image and / or change of the observation angle of the revelation means superimposed on the combined image .

De préférence l'image combinée doit conserver une esthétique reconnaissable, notamment de manière à constituer un premier élément d'authentification.Preferably, the combined image must retain a recognizable aesthetic, in particular so as to constitute a first authentication element.

Le moyen de révélation peut être une trame de révélation et l'observation des images imbriquées peut par exemple se faire par un déplacement relatif, en particulier par translation, du moyen de révélation par rapport à l'image combinée.The revelation means may be a revelation frame and the observation of the nested images may for example be made by a relative displacement, in particular by translation, of the revelation means relative to the combined image.

Le moyen de révélation peut être un réseau lenticulaire et l'observation des images imbriquées peut encore se faire par un déplacement relatif, en particulier par translation, ou par un changement de l'angle d'observation du moyen de révélation superposé à l'image combinée.The revelation means can be a lenticular network and the observation of the nested images can still be done by a relative displacement, in particular by translation, or by a change in the angle of observation of the revelation means superimposed on the image combined.

Le moyen de révélation peut permettre à l'oeil humain de visualiser une image imbriquée différente à la fois, le cerveau de l'observateur pouvant reconstituer par exemple un mouvement ou observer une information cachée.The means of revelation may allow the human eye to visualize a different imbricated image at a time, the observer's brain being able to reconstitute for example a motion or observe hidden information.

L'expression « réseau lenticulaire » se réfère à un réseau de microlentilles superposé à l'image combinée, constituée d'images imbriquées.The term "lenticular network" refers to a network of microlenses superimposed on the combined image, consisting of nested images.

En outre, il faut donner aux expressions « image tramée » et « trame de révélation », au sens de la présente invention, un sens large qui couvre tous les types de trames ou pseudo-trames, comportant une juxtaposition de zones claires et de zones sombres, distinguables les unes des autres, la forme de ces zones claires et de ces zones sombres n'étant pas limitée à une forme particulière mais pouvant être quelconque. In addition, it is necessary to give the expressions "raster image" and "revelation frame", within the meaning of the present invention, a broad meaning that covers all types of frames or pseudo-frames, comprising a juxtaposition of light areas and zones. dark, distinguishable from each other, the shape of these light areas and these dark areas not being limited to a particular shape but can be any.

Par exemple, l'image combinée et/ou le moyen de révélation peuvent comporter un ensemble de points et/ou de lignes parallèles ou non, dont la taille et/ou l'espacement entre eux sont variables ou constants, cet ensemble formant une succession de zones claires et sombres, par exemple blanches et noires. For example, the combined image and / or the revelation means may comprise a set of points and / or parallel lines or not, the size and / or spacing between them are variable or constant, this set forming a succession light and dark areas, for example white and black.

En particulier, lorsque l'image combinée et/ou le moyen de révélation comportent un ensemble de points disposés par exemple selon des lignes et/ou des colonnes, l'observation des images imbriquées peut se faire par translation dans au moins deux directions. Il s'agit notamment d'une direction parallèle auxdites lignes et d'une direction parallèle auxdites colonnes. In particular, when the combined image and / or the revelation means comprise a set of points arranged for example in lines and / or columns, the observation of the nested images can be done by translation in at least two directions. These include a direction parallel to said lines and a direction parallel to said columns.

L'image combinée et/ou le moyen de révélation peuvent notamment comporter un ensemble de lignes, de préférence parallèles entre elles, d'épaisseur et d'espacement entre elles définis. En particulier, les lignes peuvent avoir la même épaisseur et/ou le même espacement entre elles. The combined image and / or the revelation means may in particular comprise a set of lines, preferably parallel to each other, of thickness and spacing between them defined. In particular, the lines may have the same thickness and / or the same spacing between them.

L'image combinée et/ou le moyen de révélation peuvent par exemple comporter une succession de lignes sombres et claires, par exemple noires et blanches. L'épaisseur des lignes sombres des images combinées peut par exemple être égale à l'épaisseur des lignes claires du moyen de révélation, et réciproquement. The combined image and / or the revelation means may for example comprise a succession of dark and light lines, for example black and white. The thickness of the dark lines of the combined images may for example be equal to the thickness of the clear lines of the revelation means, and vice versa.

Le moyen de révélation peut comporter des bandes opacifiantes à bords parallèles, éventuellement non rectilignes. La présence de bandes opacifiantes à bords non rectilignes peut rendre plus difficile la reproduction par un contrefacteur. The revelation means may comprise opacifying bands with parallel edges, possibly non-rectilinear. The presence of opacifying tapes with non-rectilinear edges may make reproduction by a counterfeiter more difficult.

De préférence, l'aire, notamment la longueur et/ou la largeur et/ou la plus grande dimension, du moyen de révélation peut être supérieure ou égale à l'aire, notamment la longueur et/ou la largeur et/ou la plus grande dimension, de l'image combinée. De la sorte, il est possible de visualiser la reconstitution entière du mouvement produit par le déplacement relatif entre l'image combinée et le moyen de révélation et/ou par un changement d'angle d'observation du moyen de révélation et de l'image combinée superposés.Preferably, the area, in particular the length and / or the width and / or the largest dimension, of the revealing means may be greater than or equal to the area, in particular the length and / or the width and / or the most large dimension of the combined image. In this way, it is possible to visualize the entire reconstitution of the movement produced by the relative displacement between the combined image and the means of revelation and / or by a change of observation angle of the revelation means and the image combined superimposed.

Le moyen de révélation peut avoir une forme quelconque, par exemple circulaire, ovale, en étoile, polygonale, par exemple rectangulaire, carrée, hexagonale, pentagonale, en losange, entre autres. The revelation means may have any shape, for example circular, oval, star, polygonal, for example rectangular, square, hexagonal, pentagonal, rhombus, among others.

Selon une variante de l'invention, on associe deux images combinées de dimensions différentes. L'image combinée de plus petite dimension est en particulier répétée, notamment selon un réseau, notamment de lignes et de colonnes, afin d'apparaître comme un fond sur lequel est disposée l'image combinée de plus grande dimension.According to one variant of the invention, two combined images of different dimensions are associated. The combined image of smaller dimension is in particular repeated, in particular according to a network, in particular of lines and columns, in order to appear as a background on which is disposed the combined image of larger dimension.

Le moyen de révélation associé est alors constitué d'un premier moyen de révélation adapté à l'image combinée de plus grande dimension, et d'un second moyen de révélation adapté à l'image combinée de plus petite dimension. The associated revelation means then consists of a first revelation means adapted to the combined image of larger size, and a second revelation means adapted to the combined image of smaller dimension.

Les deux images combinées différentes peuvent présenter des similarités et/ou se compléter. Elles peuvent en particulier être identiques et/ou symétriques. The two different combined images may have similarities and / or complement each other. They can in particular be identical and / or symmetrical.

Le pliage du document de sécurité peut se faire selon une ligne médiane du document, de préférence parallèle à un côté du document, par exemple selon une ligne médiane passant par le milieu de la largeur ou de la longueur du document. The folding of the security document can be done along a median line of the document, preferably parallel to one side of the document, for example along a median line passing through the middle of the width or the length of the document.

The combined image and / or the revelation means may appear in a window of the security document, the window being in particular at least partially transparent. Examples of embodiments of security windows in the security documents are for example described in the documents GB 1 552 853 which describes the creation of a window in particular by transparentization, laser cutting, abrasion or incision mechanical, EP 0 229 645 which describes the creation with the help of galvano of a window on one side or on both sides of a bijet paper, WO 2004/096482 which describes the creation of a window by laser cutting, CA 2,471,379 which describes the creation of a transparent window and association with a security element and WO 2008/006983 which describes the creation of a transparent window on a bijet paper.

According to another variant of the invention, the combined image and / or the revealing means may appear on an area of reduced opacity of the security document. Such a zone of reduced opacity may especially correspond to a zone of lesser thickness, to a transparent zone or to an area comprising at least one layer of a material of less opacity. In particular, the opacity of said zone of reduced opacity will be sufficiently low to allow observation in transmission, and preferably sufficiently low to allow observation in transmission and reflection.

L'image combinée et/ou le moyen de révélation, en particulier une trame de révélation, peuvent être portés sur le document de sécurité par un procédé d'impression, par exemple offset, taille douce, laser, héliogravure, typographie ou sérigraphie. The combined image and / or the revelation means, in particular a revelation screen, may be worn on the security document by a printing process, for example offset, soft-mode, laser, gravure, typography or screen printing.

For example, the combined image and / or the revelation means may be printed, for example by colored or non-colored inks, visible to the naked eye, under ultraviolet (UV) and / or infrared (IR) light, opaque or luminescent, in particular fluorescent, thermochromic, photochromic, interferential effect, in particular iridescent, or optically variable depending on the angle of observation (gonochromatic), including liquid crystals, metallic or not, magnetic or not, among others.

L'image combinée et/ou le moyen de révélation peuvent encore comporter des métallisations et/ou démétallisations, par exemple en aluminium. The combined image and / or the revelation means may also include metallizations and / or demetallizations, for example aluminum.

Avantageusement, des métallisations et/ou des démétallisations peuvent être utilisées afin d'éviter la contrefaçon par impression.Advantageously, metallizations and / or demetallizations can be used in order to avoid counterfeiting by printing.

En particulier, des métallisations et/ou démétallisations de couleurs différentes sont utilisées, par exemple au moyen d'aluminium et de cuivre. In particular, metallizations and / or demetallizations of different colors are used, for example by means of aluminum and copper.

L'image combinée et/ou le moyen de révélation peuvent encore être imprimés avec des cristaux liquides et être portés sur une zone du document de sécurité polarisant la lumière, de telle sorte que l'image combinée et/ou le moyen de révélation ne soient visibles que lors du pliage du document sur lui-même.The combined image and / or the revelation means may be further printed with liquid crystals and carried on an area of the light-polarizing security document, such that the combined image and / or the revelation means are visible only when folding the document on itself.

Selon une variante de l'invention, l'image combinée et/ou la trame de révélation est un filigrane ou pseudo-filigrane. L'observation successive des images imbriquées se fait alors de préférence en lumière transmise.According to a variant of the invention, the combined image and / or the revelation frame is a watermark or pseudo-watermark. The successive observation of the nested images is preferably done in transmitted light.

Watermarks are produced by techniques well known in the paper industry. Pseudo-watermarks reproduce the appearance of a watermark by having differences in opacity, they can be obtained mechanically by supplying pressure with or without heat input and / or chemically by applying a composition, for example by increasing locally the transparency of paper through transparent substances. The density of fibrous material between the lightest and darkest areas of the pseudo-watermark may be uniform unlike a conventional watermark.

L'image combinée, les images imbriquées et/ou la trame de révélation peuvent être colorées, et notamment de couleurs différentes. En particulier, l'image combinée et la trame de révélation, ou encore les différentes images imbriquées, sont de couleurs différentes. The combined image, the nested images and / or the revelation frame may be colored, and in particular of different colors. In particular, the combined image and the revelation frame, or the different nested images, are of different colors.

The document may comprise a front and back, and be provided with two at least partially transparent windows respectively carrying the combined image and the revelation frame. The combined image and / or revelation frame may be metallized. In particular, the combined image may be formed by a first metallization, for example aluminum, on the front and a second metallization, identical and the register, for example copper, on the back of the document. Conversely, the revelation screen may be formed by a first metallization, for example copper, on the front and a second metallization, identical and the register, for example aluminum, on the back of the document. In this way, when the document is folded on itself, one can see on one side of the document the front of the combined image and the back of the revelation frame in the same metal, for example aluminum. Conversely, it can be seen on the other side of the document the back of the combined image and the front of the revelation frame in the same metal, for example copper.

L'image combinée et/ou le moyen de révélation peuvent être portés par un patch et/ou un foil figurant sur le document de sécurité.The combined image and / or the revelation means may be carried by a patch and / or a foil on the security document.

Le patch et/ou le foil peuvent comporter des métallisations et/ou des démétallisations, par exemple en aluminium, ou tout type d'impressions. The patch and / or the foil may comprise metallizations and / or demetallizations, for example aluminum, or any type of printing.

Le patch et/ou le foil peuvent comporter des impressions holographiques et/ou des cristaux liquides. The patch and / or the foil may comprise holographic impressions and / or liquid crystals.

L'image combinée et/ou le moyen de révélation peuvent encore être portés par un fil de sécurité, incorporé en surface, en masse ou en fenêtre(s) dans le document de sécurité.The combined image and / or the revelation means may further be carried by a security thread incorporated in the surface, mass or window (s) in the security document.

Le document peut encore comporter un fil de sécurité présentant une alternance d'images combinées et de moyens de révélation. The document may also comprise a security thread having an alternation of combined images and revelation means.

Avantageusement, la présence d'une succession d'images combinées et/ou de moyens de révélation sur le fil de sécurité peut permettre d'éviter d'introduire le fil de sécurité au repère lors de la formation du document de sécurité.Advantageously, the presence of a succession of combined images and / or revelation means on the security thread may make it possible to avoid introducing the security thread at the marker during the formation of the security document.

Le document de sécurité peut encore comporter deux fils de sécurité, l'un portant au moins une image combinée et l'autre portant au moins un moyen de révélation. The security document may also include two security son, one carrying at least one combined image and the other carrying at least one means of disclosure.

Le ou les fils de sécurité peuvent présenter une largeur suffisante pour permettre d'y faire figurer l'image combinée et/ou le moyen de révélation en totalité.The security son or son may have a width sufficient to allow to include the combined image and / or the entire disclosure means.

The security document can thus comprise the following combinations between combined images and means of revelation:
  • at least one combined image, respectively a revelation means, carried by a document window and the revelation means, respectively the associated combined image being an impression, a metallization and / or demetallization otherwise carried on the security document,
  • at least one combined image, respectively a revelation means, carried by a security document window and the revelation means, respectively the associated combined image appearing on a patch or foil of the security document,
  • at least one combined image, respectively revealing means, carried by a window of the security document and the revealing means, respectively the associated combined image appearing on a security thread of the security document,
  • an alternation of combined images and revelation means carried by a security thread incorporated in the security document,
  • a security thread carrying a plurality of combined images, respectively a plurality of revelation means, and the revelation means, respectively the associated combined images appearing by printing on the security document,
  • at least two security threads, one carrying one or more combined images, and the other carrying one or more associated revelation means,
this list being in no way limiting.

Le moyen de révélation et/ou l'image combinée figurent avantageusement sur une zone du document au moins partiellement transparente, en particulier le moyen de révélation et/ou l'image combinée peuvent être au moins partiellement transparents. The revelation means and / or the combined image advantageously appear on an area of the at least partially transparent document, in particular the revelation means and / or the combined image may be at least partially transparent.

La zone au moins partiellement transparente peut correspondre à un évidement, traversant ou non, du document dans lequel on place le moyen de révélation, notamment un réseau lenticulaire et/ou une trame de révélation, et/ou l'image combinée.The at least partially transparent zone may correspond to a recess, passing through or not, of the document in which the revealing means is placed, in particular a lenticular network and / or a revealing frame, and / or the combined image.

La zone peut par exemple être constituée par un papier calque translucide. The zone may for example be constituted by a translucent tracing paper.

The zone may also be constituted by a polymer layer comprising for example polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polycarbonate (PC), polyester carbonate (PEC), polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG), of acrylonitryl butadiene styrene (ABS) or a light-collecting film, for example of the type "wave guide", for example a polycarbonate-based luminescent film sold by BAYER under the trade name LISA ® .

Lors de l'utilisation d'un film guide d'onde, l'image combinée ou la trame de révélation est obtenue en particulier par gravure laser. When using a waveguide film, the combined image or the revelation screen is obtained in particular by laser etching.

La zone peut également être transparentisée par application d'une composition généralement grasse qui transparentise la zone de façon permanente, comme par exemple une composition faite d'huile et de matériau minéral transparent comme décrit dans le brevet US 2 021 141 , ou comme par exemple une composition sous forme d'une cire combinée à un solvant comme décrit dans le brevet US 1 479 437 .The zone may also be transparent by applying a generally oily composition which permanently transmits the area, for example a composition made of oil and transparent mineral material as described in the patent. US 2,021,141 , or as for example a composition in the form of a wax combined with a solvent as described in the patent US 1,479,437 .

On peut aussi transparentiser la zone en appliquant localement une cire par transfert à chaud, comme décrit dans le brevet US 5 118 526 .The zone can also be made transparent by locally applying a wax by heat transfer, as described in the patent. US 5,118,526 .

On peut encore utiliser pour la zone une couche fibreuse comportant une matière thermofusible, par exemple du polyétylène comme décrit dans le brevet EP 0 203 499 , qui sous l'action locale de la chaleur verra sa transparence varier. It is also possible for the zone to use a fibrous layer comprising a hot-melt material, for example polyethylene, as described in patent EP 0 203 499 , which under the local action of heat will see its transparency vary.

Selon un mode de réalisation particulier de l'invention, l'image combinée peut également être représentée sur un autre élément du document de sécurité, ce qui apporte une sécurisation supplémentaire. Ledit autre élément du document de sécurité peut notamment être un filigrane, une impression, un patch ou encore un foil.According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the combined image can also be represented on another element of the security document, which provides additional security. Said other element of the security document may in particular be a watermark, an impression, a patch or a foil.

Le document de sécurité, ainsi que les éléments qu'il comporte comme par exemple un fil de sécurité, un patch et/ou un foil, peuvent comporter un ou plusieurs éléments de sécurité tels que définis ci-après.The security document, as well as the elements that it comprises, for example a security thread, a patch and / or a foil, may comprise one or more security elements as defined below.

Parmi les éléments de sécurité, certains sont détectables à l'oeil, en lumière du jour ou en lumière artificielle, sans utilisation d'un appareil particulier. Ces éléments de sécurité comportent par exemple des fibres ou planchettes colorées, des fils imprimés ou métallisés totalement ou partiellement. Ces éléments de sécurité sont dits de premier niveau. Some of the security features are detectable by eye, daylight or artificial light, without the use of a particular device. These security elements comprise for example colored fibers or boards, fully or partially printed or metallized wires. These security elements are called first level.

Other types of security elements are detectable only with a relatively simple device, such as a lamp emitting in the ultraviolet (UV) or infrared (IR). These security elements comprise, for example, fibers, boards, strips, wires or particles. These security elements may be visible to the naked eye or not, being for example luminescent under a lighting of a Wood lamp emitting in a wavelength of 365 nm. These security elements are said to be second level.

Other types of security elements still require for their detection a more sophisticated detection device. These security elements are for example capable of generating a specific signal when they are subjected, simultaneously or not, to one or more external excitation sources. The automatic detection of the signal makes it possible to authenticate, if necessary, the document. These security elements comprise, for example, tracers in the form of active materials, particles or fibers capable of generating a specific signal when these tracers are subjected to optronic, electrical, magnetic or electromagnetic excitation. These security elements are said to be third level.

Les éléments de sécurité présents au sein du document de sécurité et des éléments qu'il comporte, peuvent présenter des caractéristiques de sécurité de premier, de deuxième ou de troisième niveau. The security elements present in the security document and the elements that it comprises may have first, second or third level security features.

Le document de sécurité peut par exemple être un moyen de paiement, tel qu'un billet de banque, un chèque ou un ticket restaurant, un document d'identité tel qu'une carte d'identité ou un visa ou un passeport ou un permis de conduire, un ticket de loterie, un titre de transport ou encore un ticket d'entrée à des manifestations culturelles ou sportives. The security document may for example be a means of payment, such as a bank note, a check or a restaurant ticket, an identity document such as an identity card or a visa or a passport or a permit to drive, a lottery ticket, a ticket or an entrance ticket to cultural or sporting events.

L'invention a encore pour objet, selon un autre de ses aspects, un procédé d'authentification d'un document de sécurité tel que défini précédemment, dans lequel on superpose au moins partiellement le moyen de révélation à l'image combinée pour observer successivement les images imbriquées et on conclut quant à l'authentification du document, la superposition du moyen de révélation et de l'image combinée pouvant s'effectuer par pliage du document et/ou par superposition du document avec un autre objet, notamment un document similaire.According to another of its aspects, the subject of the invention is also a method for authenticating a security document as defined above, in which the revelation means are at least partly superimposed on the combined image in order to successively observe the nested images and it is concluded as to the authentication of the document, the superposition of the revelation means and the combined image can be performed by folding the document and / or by superimposing the document with another object, including a similar document .

Le moyen de révélation peut être une trame de révélation et l'observation des images imbriquées peut se faire par un déplacement relatif, en particulier par translation, du moyen de révélation par rapport à l'image combinée.The revelation means can be a revelation frame and the observation of the nested images can be done by a relative displacement, in particular by translation, of the revelation means with respect to the combined image.

Le moyen de révélation peut être un réseau lenticulaire et l'observation des images imbriquées peut se faire par un déplacement relatif, en particulier par translation, ou par un changement de l'angle d'observation du moyen de révélation superposé à l'image combinée.The revelation means may be a lenticular network and the observation of the nested images may be by relative displacement, in particular by translation, or by a change in the viewing angle of the revelation means superimposed on the combined image .

L'invention pourra être mieux comprise à la lecture qui va suivre, de la description d'exemples non limitatifs de mise en oeuvre de celle-ci et à l'examen des figures du dessin, schématiques et partielles, sur lequel :

The invention will be better understood on reading which follows, the description of non-limiting examples of implementation thereof and the examination of the drawing figures, schematic and partial, in which:
  • the figure 1 represents a series of nested images making it possible to create a combined image of a document according to the invention,
  • the figure 2 represents a combined image of a document according to the invention obtained from the series of nested images of the figure 1 ,
  • the figure 3 represents an exemplary means for revealing a security document according to the invention that can be associated with the combined image of the figure 2 ,
  • the Figures 4 to 6 represent exemplary embodiments of security document according to the invention, the combined image or the revelation means being carried by a window of the document,
  • the Figures 7 to 11 represent other exemplary embodiments of security document according to the invention, the combined image and / or the revelation means being carried by at least one security thread or foil,
  • the figure 12a represents an example of two different combined images of a document according to the invention,

  • the Figures 13a and 13b represent another example of document according to the invention, and
  • the Figures 14 and 15 represent patterns that can be associated, these patterns each comprising both a revealing means and a combined image.

On a représenté sur la figure 1 une série d'images imbriquées 2a permettant de créer une image combinée 2 représentant dans cet exemple un motif sous la forme d'un éléphant. We have shown on the figure 1 a series of nested images 2a making it possible to create a combined image 2 representing in this example a pattern in the form of an elephant.

Les images imbriquées 2a correspondent par exemple à quatre positions différentes de l'éléphant et permettent ainsi de créer une décomposition du mouvement de l'éléphant. The nested images 2a correspond, for example, to four different positions of the elephant and thus make it possible to create a decomposition of the movement of the elephant.

Chaque image imbriquée 2a comporte un ensemble de lignes parallèles, espacées entre elles de manière régulière ou non, et présentant des épaisseurs variables. Each nested image 2a comprises a set of parallel lines, spaced apart from each other in a regular manner or not, and having variable thicknesses.

On a représenté sur la figure 2, l'image combinée 2 obtenue à partir de la série d'images imbriquées 2a de la figure 1.We have shown on the figure 2 , the combined image 2 obtained from the series of nested images 2a of the figure 1 .

Les images 2a sont superposées les unes sur les autres de manière à former un motif combiné qui correspond à l'image combinée 2.The images 2a are superimposed on each other so as to form a combined pattern which corresponds to the combined image 2.

On a représenté sur la figure 3 un exemple de moyen de révélation 3 sous la forme d'une trame de révélation pouvant être associé à l'image combinée 2 de la figure 2.We have shown on the figure 3 an example of revelation means 3 in the form of a revelation frame that can be associated with the combined image 2 of the figure 2 .

Le moyen de révélation 3 est par exemple de forme rectangulaire et comporte un ensemble de lignes parallèles, espacées entre elles de façon régulière ou non, et ayant des épaisseurs variables. The revelation means 3 is for example of rectangular shape and comprises a set of parallel lines, spaced apart from each other regularly or not, and having varying thicknesses.

Le moyen de révélation 3 présente une aire, une longueur et une largeur, supérieures à celles de l'image combinée 2 permettant ainsi de visualiser plus facilement la totalité des mouvements de l'éléphant lors du déplacement relatif entre l'image combinée 2 et le moyen de révélation 3.The revelation means 3 has an area, a length and a width, greater than those of the combined image 2 thus making it easier to visualize all the movements of the elephant during the relative movement between the combined image 2 and the means of disclosure 3.

Dans cet exemple, l'image combinée 2 et le moyen de révélation 3 comportent des ensembles de lignes alternativement sombres et claires, notamment noires et blanches, mais il pourrait en être autrement. Par exemple, les lignes pourraient être colorées et être différentes pour l'image combinée 2 et pour le moyen de révélation 3.In this example, the combined image 2 and the revelation means 3 comprise sets of lines alternately dark and clear, including black and white, but it could be otherwise. For example, the lines could be colored and be different for the combined image 2 and for the revelation means 3.

Le moyen de révélation 3 peut également être un réseau lenticulaire comprenant par exemple un film polymérique translucide ou transparent. Le réseau lenticulaire peut notamment être microembossé ou imprimé.The revelation means 3 may also be a lenticular network comprising, for example, a translucent or transparent polymeric film. The lenticular network may in particular be microembossed or printed.

On a représenté sur les figures 4 à 6 des exemples de réalisation de document de sécurité 1 selon l'invention, comportant une image combinée 2 conforme à celle de la figure 2 et un moyen de révélation 3 conforme à celui de la figure 3.We have shown on Figures 4 to 6 examples of embodiment of security document 1 according to the invention, comprising a combined image 2 according to that of the figure 2 and a revelation means 3 according to that of the figure 3 .

Sur la figure 4, le document 1 comporte une fenêtre 4, de préférence au moins partiellement transparente, dans laquelle figure le moyen de révélation 3. Le document 1 comporte également une image combinée 2 portée sur le document 1, par exemple par impression, notamment taille douce, ou métallisation et/ou démétallisation. La zone sur laquelle figure l'image combinée 2 peut également être au moins partiellement transparente. On the figure 4 the document 1 comprises a window 4, preferably at least partially transparent, in which the revealing means 3 appears. The document 1 also comprises a combined image 2 carried on the document 1, for example by printing, in particular a soft-copy, or metallization and / or demetallization. The area on which the combined image 2 appears may also be at least partially transparent.

Sur la figure 5, le document de sécurité 1 comporte une fenêtre 4, de préférence au moins partiellement transparente, dans laquelle figure une image combinée 2. Le document 1 comporte également un patch 5 comportant par exemple des impressions holographiques, sur lequel figure le moyen de révélation 3. Le patch 5 peut également être au moins partiellement transparent. On the figure 5 the security document 1 comprises a window 4, preferably at least partially transparent, in which a combined image 2 appears. The document 1 also comprises a patch 5 comprising, for example, holographic impressions, on which the revelation means 3 appears. Patch 5 can also be at least partially transparent.

Le patch 5 peut comporter des métallisations et/ou démétallisations, par exemple en aluminium, et le moyen de révélation 3 peut comporter des impressions holographiques et/ou des métallisations et/ou démétallisations. The patch 5 may include metallizations and / or demetallizations, for example aluminum, and the revelation means 3 may comprise holographic impressions and / or metallizations and / or demetallizations.

Sur la figure 6, le document 1 comporte une fenêtre 4, de préférence au moins partiellement transparente, sur laquelle figure le moyen de révélation 3. Le document 1 comporte également un fil de sécurité 6 sur lequel figure l'image combinée 2. Le fil de sécurité 6 peut également être au moins partiellement transparent ou comporter une zone partiellement transparente au niveau de l'image combinée 2.On the figure 6 the document 1 comprises a window 4, preferably at least partially transparent, on which the revealing means 3 appears. The document 1 also comprises a security thread 6 on which the combined image 2 appears. The security thread 6 can also be at least partially transparent or have a partially transparent area at the combined image 2.

On a représenté sur les figures 7 à 11 d'autres exemples de document de sécurité 1 selon l'invention comportant une image combinée 2 et un moyen de révélation 3 conformes à ceux des figures 2 et 3, l'image combinée 2 et/ou le moyen de révélation 3 étant portés par au moins un fil de sécurité ou un foil.We have shown on Figures 7 to 11 other examples of security document 1 according to the invention comprising a combined image 2 and a revelation means 3 consistent with those Figures 2 and 3 , the combined image 2 and / or the revealing means 3 being carried by at least one security thread or foil.

Sur la figure 7, le document 1 comporte un fil de sécurité 6 d'une largeur suffisante pour faire figurer en alternance des images combinées 2 et des moyens de révélation 3. Avantageusement, le fil de sécurité 6 est au moins partiellement transparent ou présente une ou plusieurs zones au moins partiellement transparentes au niveau des images combinées 2 et/ou des moyens de révélation 3.On the figure 7 document 1 comprises a security thread 6 of sufficient width to alternately display combined images 2 and revealing means 3. Advantageously, the security thread 6 is at least partially transparent or has one or more zones less partially transparent at the combined images 2 and / or the revelation means 3.

Sur la figure 8, le document 1 comporte un fil de sécurité 6 sur lequel figure un moyen de révélation 3. Le document 1 comporte également une image combinée 2, par exemple sous la forme d'une impression taille douce sur le document 1.On the figure 8 the document 1 comprises a security thread 6 on which there is a revealing means 3. The document 1 also comprises a combined image 2, for example in the form of a soft-printing on the document 1.

Le fil de sécurité 6 peut être au moins partiellement transparent ou présenter une zone au moins partiellement transparente. Le document 1 peut également comporter une zone au moins partiellement transparente au niveau de l'image combinée 2.The security thread 6 may be at least partially transparent or have an at least partially transparent area. The document 1 may also include an area at least partially transparent at the combined image 2.

Sur la figure 9, le document 1 comporte deux fils de sécurité 6a et 6b. Le fil de sécurité 6a comporte trois images combinées 2 et le fil de sécurité 6b comporte trois moyens de révélation 3.On the figure 9 document 1 comprises two security threads 6a and 6b. The security thread 6a comprises three combined images 2 and the security thread 6b comprises three revelation means 3.

Le fil de sécurité 6a et/ou le fil de sécurité 6b peuvent être au moins partiellement transparents ou comporter au moins une zone au moins partiellement transparente, notamment au niveau d'une image combinée 2 ou d'un moyen de révélation 3.The security thread 6a and / or the security thread 6b may be at least partially transparent or comprise at least one at least partially transparent zone, especially at a combined image 2 or a revelation means 3.

Sur la figure 10, le document comporte un foil 7 sur lequel figure une alternance d'images combinées 2 et de moyens de révélation 3.On the figure 10 , the document comprises a foil 7 on which there is an alternation of combined images 2 and revelation means 3.

Le foil 7 peut être au moins partiellement transparent ou comporter au moins une zone au moins partiellement transparente au niveau d'une image combinée 2 et/ou d'un moyen de révélation 3.The foil 7 may be at least partially transparent or comprise at least one at least partially transparent zone at a combined image 2 and / or a revelation means 3.

Sur la figure 11, le document 1 comporte un fil de sécurité 6 sur lequel figure une image combinée 2. Le document 1 comporte également un patch 5, pouvant comporter des métallisations holographiques ou non, sur lequel figure un moyen de révélation 3.On the figure 11 document 1 comprises a security thread 6 on which a combined image 2 appears. Document 1 also includes a patch 5, which may comprise holographic metallizations or not, on which a revealing means 3 is shown.

Le fil de sécurité 6 peut être au moins partiellement transparent ou comporter une zone au moins partiellement transparente au niveau de l'image combinée 2.The security thread 6 may be at least partially transparent or comprise an area at least partially transparent at the combined image 2.

Le patch 5 peut également être au moins partiellement transparent, notamment au niveau du moyen de révélation 3.The patch 5 may also be at least partially transparent, especially at the level of the revelation means 3.

Dans tous les exemples précédemment décrits, les images combinées 2 et les moyens de révélation 3 peuvent être intervertis. In all the examples previously described, the combined images 2 and the revelation means 3 can be inverted.

Les zones au moins partiellement transparentes peuvent être situées au niveau des images combinées 2 ou des moyens de révélation 3, ou au niveau des deux à la fois. The at least partially transparent areas may be located at the combined images 2 or the revelation means 3, or at both.

The authentication of the documents 1 can be done by folding the documents 1 in the direction of the length or the width so as to superimpose at least partially the combined images 2 and the revelation means 3, then to relatively move relative to each other. to others so as to visualize for example the illusion of a movement of the elephant and / or to change the viewing angle of the combined images 2 and 3 superimposed revelation means.

En variante, il peut également être possible de superposer au moins partiellement le document (1) avec un autre document similaire tel que décrit précédemment.Alternatively, it may also be possible to overlay at least partially the document (1) with another similar document as described above.

Sur la figure 12a sont représentées de façon schématique deux images combinées différentes (21) et (22), la seconde image combinée (22) étant une image symétrique de la première image combinée (21). La seconde image combinée (22) a également été réduite en dimension et multipliée afin d'obtenir un réseau d'images combinées (22) organisé en rangées et colonnes. On the figure 12a are schematically represented two different combined images (21) and (22), the second combined image (22) being a symmetrical image of the first combined image (21). The second combined image (22) has also been reduced in size and multiplied to obtain a combined image array (22) organized in rows and columns.

La figure 12b représente la trame de révélation (3) des images imbriquées (21a) et (22a) représentées schématiquement sur la figure 12a. Cette trame de révélation (3) est constituée par l'association de deux trames élémentaires (3a) et (3b) permettant d'observer respectivement les images imbriquées (21a) et (22a).The figure 12b represents the revelation frame (3) of the nested images (21a) and (22a) schematically represented on the figure 12a . This revelation frame (3) is constituted by the association of two elementary frames (3a) and (3b) for respectively observing the nested images (21a) and (22a).

Sur la figure 13a est représenté un document (1) comportant un recto (1a) et un verso (1b). Le document (1) est muni de deux fenêtres transparentes (4) portant respectivement une image combinée (2) métallisée et une trame de révélation (3) métallisée.On the figure 13a is represented a document (1) having a front (1a) and a back (1b). The document (1) is provided with two transparent windows (4) carrying respectively a combined image (2) metallized and a revelation frame (3) metallized.

L'image combinée (2) est formée par une première métallisation en aluminium sur le recto (1a) et une seconde métallisation, identique et au registre, en cuivre, sur le verso (1b).The combined image (2) is formed by a first aluminum metallization on the front (1a) and a second metallization, identical and the copper register on the back (1b).

A l'inverse, on observe selon (9') le verso (1b) en cuivre de l'image combinée (2) et le recto (1a) en cuivre de la trame de révélation (3).In this way, when the document (1) is folded as shown on the figure 13b according to (9), the front (1a) of aluminum of the combined image (2) and the back (1b) of aluminum of the revelation screen (3) are observed. On the contrary, the back (1b) of copper of the combined image (2) and the front (1a) of copper of the revelation screen (3) are observed according to (9 ').

Sur la figure 14 est représentée de façon schématique une image combinée 22 disposée selon un réseau d'images combinées 22 autour d'une trame de révélation 31.On the figure 14 is schematically represented a combined image 22 arranged in a combined image array 22 around a revealing frame 31.

Sur la figure 15 est représentée de façon schématique une image combinée 21 entourée d'une trame de révélation 32.On the figure 15 is schematically represented a combined image 21 surrounded by a revelation frame 32.

Les motifs représentés sur les figures 14 et 15 peuvent être disposés respectivement sur un document et sur le même document, un document similaire ou un autre objet, et inversement. The patterns represented on the Figures 14 and 15 may be placed respectively on a document and on the same document, a similar document or another object, and vice versa.

According to one variant, the combined image array 22 constitutes two bands between which the revealing frame 31 is arranged in a strip. The combined image 21 is then repeated along a strip placed centrally between two strips constituting the frame of revelation 32. This variant and the repetition of the combined images and / or revelation frame according to a band makes it possible in particular to facilitate the registration by removing an orientation. Thus, for example when introducing a security thread in a sheet of paper in formation, cross-referencing will not be necessary and only a marking in the direction will be necessary.
