l Bev it knownnmrr, ADN; snows, f springfield, in the county ofWindsor and State of Vermont, have invented a new and usefulEgg-'Holder; and I do here' by declare thefollowing to be a full, clear, and exact description thereosnfficientlto enable `those skilled in the art to which my invention appertains to fully 1 understand and to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying diawings forming part of this-specification, andin whichi Figure 1 is a front view, and Figure 2 a side view ofmy egg-holder.V

The subject of this invention is a device for hold'- ing eggs at table', so that the shell may be broken and the contents removed with facility, and without the liahilityof soiling or burning the'ngers. i The invention consists inthe peculianconstruction `of the device as hereinafter set' forth.

By pressing the handles a 'a toward eachother, the jaws are opened to receive and hold the egg, as shown in dotted lines, g. 2. The egg-holder can he manufactured of white metal, and made highly ornamental if desired. This device being s0 simple and so easily constructed, it maybe supplied at a low figure, and it will be found to do away entirely with the inconvenience alluded to.
