My invention-relates to coffin-handles, fand consists in doing away with the central bolt, and screwing the tubular handle piece directly into the lug socket.
A is the body Or hand piece of -the handle, which is made in the form of a tube, and has a screw; `thread eut upon each end, which screws into the screw-thread formed in the inner surfaceof the sockets b1, which are formed in the inner sides of the lugs B, the other endsof which lugs are pivoted to eyes attached to the sides of the coiin in the Ordinary manner.
The knob or Other ornament b2 is cast solid in One piece withlthe lng.
The handle is thus formed of only three pieces,
and` is put .together by simply screwing the ends of l the tube A into the sockets b1 of the'lugs B, produeing a neat, simple, and convenient ihandle, and one easily and cheaply manufactured.
