\ My invention relates to new and useful improvements in holding devices and more particularly to that class adapted to beused for holding newspapers when delivered by carrier or otherwise and my` object is to proor otherconvenient object. v

The novel features and advantages will be hereinafter referred to and more lparclaim.

In the accompanying'drawings which are made a part of this application, Figure l is a perspective view showing my improved porchy post.` F ig. 2 is a front elevation of the holder. Fig. 3 is a central vertical sectional view thereof. Referring to the dra-wings in which similar reference numerals designate correl spending 4parts throughout the several views, l indicates a post to which my 1mproved holding device may be att-ached, although it will be understood vthat said holding device may be secured to any suitable object.
