Another object of t e invention is to rovide a displa fixture which may be attac ed directly to the glass forming the frontof ther'window. t h ad he invention possesses' t er vantageous features, which, with the foregoing, will, be set forth at length in the following description where I shall outline in full that form of the invention which I have selected for illustration in the drawingsaccompany ing and formi part of the resent ification. It is to und limit myself to the showing made by said drawings and description as I may ado t variations therein, wlthin the scope of t e claim.
Referring to said drawings:

.2isaperspedziveviewo am for h i of the fixture.
The fixture of my invention comprises a shelf 2, preferably formed of rather stifi' sheet metal. Secured to the shelf, referalgyclft opposite ends, are rubbelr sucfierfitiB, w w an M men flgalnst m, y adhere thereto. These sucks g g :hemtobefirml afiama' the ass. Secured to the ed elgprefera ly at its lfi ngito the front that I 0 notrs are prefertudinal center, is a bracket 6, the front edge of which is substantially in line with the edge 5 of the shelf. This bracket is referab y made of sheet metal and attac ed to the shelf by the bent ears 7, which pass through slots in the shelf. The bracket contacts with the glass below the suckers and supports the shelf in a horizontal position andalso causes the weight on the shelf to exert a pulling strain on the suckers, thereby causing them to grip tighter. The fixture is attached to the glaa of a show window and is used to sup ort articles of merchandise which it is desired to conspicuously dis play. When desired, a card 8, bearing descriptive or advertising matter relating to the merchandise di layed, may be attached 0 the shelf and the card is preferably 0 such length that it conceals the bracket.
By the use of this fixture a merchant is able to place certain merchandise right at the front of his window and at. the level of the eye of the person on the sidewalk, so that it is conspicuously displayed and may be examined at close range by the prospective purchaser. A
I claim: 7 A display fixture comprising a sheet metal plate, cars at opposite ends of the plate formed by bending portions of the shelf 'along one longitudinal edge, suckers adapted to engage a plate of glass secured to said ears and extending beyond said longitudinal edge, a bracket arranged below and secured to the'shelf, the fol-wardv edge of the bracket bein adapted to press against the glass and hol the shelf substantially horizontal, and an advertising card secured to the front edge of the shelf and concealing the bracket.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set 111 band at San Francisco, California, this 1 th day of March 1916. I
