IMPROVEMENT IN PLows.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 126,077, dated April 23, 1872. I
Specification describing an Improved Plow,
- invented by TALEMACHUS NABERS, of Elyton,
2', at its rear end to which is attached one end of a fiat metallic bar, 0, attached at its other end at a point in front of the standard D and colter E. Elongated vertical slots in the beam A and shorter ones in the bar 0 receive the said standard and colter, which are constructed with notches yin their backs to engage with the ends of the latter, and locked by wedges F, driven in the front ends of the beam-slots. different ones of said notches the colter and share or sweep are adjusted as to depth of cut. The face of the enlargement 2 gives an extended support to the standard D, while a similar and sutficient support is aflbrded the colter by the bar G. The said bar may be attached by screws or bolts. The share or sweep G is perfectly By using flat and reversible for self-sharpening. Vhat I claim in this, my invention, is-
1. The subsoil-plow iron, composed of the standard D with inclined foot 0, and the flat share G, of the form shown, supported on said foot, and secured by notch m and bolt 20, said parts being constructed and combined as herein described, for the purposes set forth.
2. The slotted beam A, with downward extensionz, the slotted bar 0, standard D, colter E, and keys F, combined and operating substantially as represented and described, for the purposes specified.
