DRAIN -BOARD BRACKET.

Specification of Letters Patent.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, CHARLES DRAPALIK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Omaha, in the county of Douglas and State of Nebraska, have invented new and useful Improvements in Drain-Board Brackets, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to means for re:

the securing means being such as to permit 7 of the adjustment of the outer end of the board to any desired angle.

\Vith the above objects in view the invention consists of a drain board provided at one of its edges with a screw clamp, a pair of bars having opposed'serrated faces, one of said bars being secured to a lug formed on the lower edge of the sink and being provided with apertures, the other bar being secured to a lug on the underside of the board and being provided with an elongated slot, to receive a fastening means carried by the first mentioned bar.

In the application of the invention there is provided upon the underside of the sink 1 lugs 2. These lugs are preferably four in number there being two of said lugs located upon the opposite edges of the sink. The drain board shown at 3 may be of the usual construction, and is provided upon one of its edges with an undercut portion 4 adapted to conform to the roll edge of the sink.

Located near the opposite end of the board are a pair of lugs 6, having pivoted thereto one bar of a brace 8. This brace is provided with a serrated face 9 for engagement with the serrations 10 formed on the bar 11. The last named bar is pivoted to one of the lugs 2 previously mentioned. Apertures 13 are provided in the bar 11 and are adapted to carry a fastening means lt, which may consist of a bolt or screw. The fastening means 14 is adapted to be passed through a slot 15 formed in the bracket 7 so as to provide means for extending said bracket to control the angle at which theboard 3 may be set.

By reference to Fig. 2 of the drawings it will be seen that there are preferably employed two of the braces 8, in order toinsure a more stable support for the board.

It will be seen from the foregoing that the invention provides an efiicient means for adjustably securing a drain board to either end of the sink, and doing away with the necessity of supporting the sink by brackets This last mentioned means has been found unsatisfactory owing to the crumbling away of the plastering and the consequent weakening of the supporting brackets.

Having described the invention, what I desire to claim and secure by Letters Patent, is;

The combination with a drain board having adjust-able supporting braces pivotally secured to one end thereof for engagement with the sink, of a clamp carried by the opposite end of said board, said clamp including a stationary member formed by providing a concave seat in the end of the board, an adjusting screw located adjacent one edge of said seat, an arm loosely mounted upon said screw and cotiperating with said seat, whereby this end of the board may be adjustably secured to the sink and a nut mounted upon the screw for holding the arm in its adjusted position.
