Description

l. REYNARD.
INHALER 0R RESPIRATOR. APPLICATION FiLED FEB. 19; 1919.
Patehted July 29, 1919.
'8, a t; 1 t, a fit v JOHN REYN, OF OM I INHALER 0R RESPIRATOR.
' Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented July 29, 1919.
Application filed February 19, 1919. Serial No. 277,985.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN REYNARD, a
citizen of the United States, residing at Omaha, in the county of Douglas and State of Nebraska, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Inhalers or Respirators, of which the following is a specification.
7 My invention relates to improvements in inhalers or respirators, and the object of my invention is the provision of an extremely simple, durable and inexpensive device which can be instantly inserted in the nostrils, and which will act in an efficient and practical manner to exclude fumes, vapors, or impure foreign matter from entering the nostrils.
With this object in view, my invention consists of a device embodying novel details of construction and arrangement of parts as shown, described and particularly defined by the claim.
Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the device applied to the nostril.
Fig; 2 is a front elevation of the complete article.
Fig. 3 is an elevation of the yoke.
The device is applied to the nostrils A, and consists of the yoke-shaped body B, preferably made from copper wire to perwill cost practically nothing, and which'can be easily carried in the pocket, and upon occasion instantly inserted in the nostrils, and which will form a perfect inhaler or respirator, and prevent the entrance of foreign matter to the nose, and effect its objects in a ractical manner.
I c aim:
As a new article of manufacture, an in-.
haler or respirator, consisting of a pair of vertically disposed pads or sponges adapted to fit the nostrils, and a yoke having its ends formed with spirals adapted to screw into said pads and retain them in proper position.
In testimony whereof I afiix my signature. f
JOHN REYNARD.
