IMPROVEMENT IN BRACELETS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 133,291, dated November 26, 1872.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALBERT O. BAKER, of Providence, in the county of Providence and State of Rhode Island, have invented certain Improvements in Bracelets, of which the following is.a specification, the accompanying drawing and the reference thereto being a part of the same.
Figure 1 is a vertical section of the bracelet Fig. 2 is a vertical section of the bracelet when open. Fig. 3 is a side view of the bracelet when open.
Similar letters represent similar parts in all the figures.
The invention consists in the use of the elastic metallic strip R B, one end of which, B, is bent so as not to pull out, and the other end of which is bent in the form of a knuckle spring or snap, G. The end comprising the snap G is soldered to the portion of the bracelet D. The portion of the bracelet marked E is hollow, and when the bracelet is shut the metallic strip R R is received within the portion of the bracelet E, as seen in Fig. 1, R It.
What I claim as my invention is- The use and application of the elastic inetallic strip R R with the bent end B and the knuckle spring or snap C, substantially as described.
