IMPROVEMENT IN PL-OW-CLEVISIES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 133,799, dated December 10,1872; antedated December 7,
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANCIS REESE, of
Wilsonville, in the county of Shelby and, State of Alabama, have invented a new and valuable Improvement in (Jlevises; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and clear description of the construction and operation of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawing making a part of this specification, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon.
LetterA is the adjustable clevis. It is eight inches long and four inches wide at the row of holes near the front end, and two and one-half inches at the hind end near the wrenches. At
the front end it is a hook. It is one-half inch thick, and may be either wrought or cast iron. It is let into the regulating-block with two half-inchorthree-eighths bolts-oneinthefront' end and one in the hind end. There are five holes in or near the front end, by which it may be let higher or lower to regulate the depth of'the plow. It has three wrenches to .two on the end and one in the middle/ to fit different-sized nuts. Letter B is the regulating-block, which is to be fastened on top of the end of the plow-beam with two bolts one in the front end and one in the hind end.
