number of commodious compartments, novel' means being provided for rotatably mounting the article so that each of the compartments may be'conveniently reached.
l-Vitli the above and other objects in view, the invention further includes the following novel features anddetails ofconstruction, to be hereinafter 'more fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and pointed out in the appended claim.
In the drawings Y Figure 1 is an elevation of the invention.
Figure 2 is a section on the line 2-2 of Figure 1.
Figure 3 is a similar view on the line 3 3 of Figure 1. A
Figure 4 is a section taken substantially on the line 4-4 of Figure 2.
Figure 5 is a section on the line 5-5iof.
Figure 2.
i Figure 6 is a section on the line 6-6 of F igure.2.
Referring in detail to the drawings, wherein` like characters of reference denote corresponding parts, the invention as-shown, comprises a casing which includes an upper section 10 and a lower section 11. These sections each include a bottom 12 and a top 13, the top of the lower section and the bottom of the upper section being bolted or otherwise secured together by means of boltsy 14, so that the two sections will form a single unit. The top of the lower section and the bottom of the upper section form a horizontal partition which divides the casing and this partition is provided with a recess 15 which accommodates a slide 16, the latter being useful as a dough board, or for other purposes.
The casing or cabinet is `supported upon a bearing standard 17 which extends through vthe bottom of the lower section 11 and is connected with a'platform 18. The upper end of the standard 17 supports the cabinetv by means of an anti-friction bearing 19 which is interposed between the upper end of the standard andthe top of the lower section( The standard 17 constructed. so that the bottom of the lower section will be spaced above the platform 18 andin order to prevent tilting action of the cabinet, the
lower section carries anti-friction rollers `20 which are interposed between said section'` and the platform 18. l
Both sections are provided with vertically disposed vpartitions 21. These partitions divide the lower section into-an inner compartment 22 and outer compartments 23 'i which surround the inner compartment..l |The partitions 21 of the upper section divide this section into an inner compartment and outer surrounding compartments, the latter being indicated at 24. The inner compartment of the upper section is divided into an ice chamber 25, a water cool-er 26 and a compartment v 30 at 'its lower edge to the lower portion of tlieice compartment. This door'opens downwardly into one of the compartments.
24 and is provided upon its innerv face with ice guides 31 so that the ice may be con'- veniently slid into the chamber 25. 1 The compartments 23 and 24 may beprovid-ed lwith horizontally arranged shelves 32 and if desired, these shelves may be removable and adjustable as to their height.
The-ice chainberf25 is in communication with one end of a drain pipe 33 and the ylower end 34 of this pipe extends into one of the compartments 23 of the lower section and into a pan which -is removably positioned in said compartment. rElie ice cli-aniber may be provided with an additional slide bar 26 and a-vent opening 37.
The cabinet may be of suitable contigui ration, but it ispreferred to make it of hexagonal cross sectional shape and each of the compartments 23 and 24 are pro--I vided with doors. The doors of the conipartments 24 may be provided with glass panels 38 and the doors of the lower section may be provided with wood or other panels The invention isv susceptible of various changes in its form, proportions and minor"y details of construction and the right is here- 11i reserved to makevsucli changes as properly fall within the scope of the appended claim.
Having; described the .invention what is claimed is z- An article of furniture Comprising` a `rcas'- ing, a partition dividing,r the casing into an upper section and a lower section, vertical partitions dividing each section into separate compartments including an inner central compartment and outer compartments surroundingI 'the inner compartment, an ice chamber in the inner compartment of tlie upper section, a pan within one of tlie compartments of the lower section, a. drain pipe extending from the ice chamber into the pan, a door for each compartment, a Vertical swinging door having` its lower edge hingedly secured` at the bottom of the ice chamber and opening outwardly into one of tlie compartments and icc guides Carried upon the inner face of the door.
In testimony wliereoil we affix our signatures. v f
