COMBINED TABLE AND SEAT STRUCTURE.

The present invention relates to combined table and seat structures; and its object is, generally, to provide an improved structure of that character which may be swung downwardly to usable position and upwardly to a compact position when not in use.

This and anyother and more specific objects hereinafter appearing are attained by, and the invention linds preferable embodiment in, the structure hereinafter particularly described in the body of this specification and illustrated by the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is an end view of the structure lowered to usable position;

Figure 4 is a View of the structure in raised position, the seats and their supporting members being turned outwardly; and

Figure 5 is a side view'ot' the structure lowered to usable position.

Combined table and seat structures are he qucntly employed where space is limited or where it is found desirable to serve meals in kitchens, and the like. It is the object 01 the present invention to economize space by providing an improved structure of that character which may be lowered to usable position and raised in compact form when not in use.

In the embodiment of the invention illustrated by the accompanying drawings, a combined table and seat structure is shown comprising a support 1 secured in fixed upright position by any suitable means, as by screws 2 passing tllerethrough and threaded in the wall 3 of the room in which the structure is located, the bottom of. this support ureierably resting on the floor 1 of the room or the support may be thus secured by screws 5 passing through its cleat 6 and threaded in the floor. A table 7 is mounted adjacent one or its ends on this support, swingably about a horizontal axisthe pintles of the hinges 8. The table top by reason of such mounting may be swung on said hinges clownwardly to the usable level position seen in Figures 1 and 5, or upwardly to the vertical position (seen in the other views) when not in use. It will be seen that the pintles of the hinges 8, 10, 26 and 27 are parallel, and that when the table top is raised and the seat is turned outwardly to the position seen in Figure 1 the table top may be lowered; but when the seat s turned inwardly to the position seen in F igures 2 and 8, the table top is thereby held in raised position.

The bottoms 23 ot the members 12 and the bottoms 24 of the members 14 rest on the floor in the lowered o1 usable position of the structure.

As shown, the structure may comprise a pair of seats and backs, each seat having supporting members 12, 14;. The pintles of the hinges 13, 15 may be withdrawn to permit detachment of either or both of the seats and their supporting members.

The invention being intended to be pointed out in the claims, is not to be limited to or by details of construction of the particular embodiment thereof illustrated by the drawings or hereinbefore described.

I claim:

1. In a structure of the character described: a support; a table top mounted adjacent one end on the support swingably about a horizontal axis to horizontal and vertical positions, and having a leg mounted adabout a horizontal axis to horizontal and: vertical positions, and having a leg mounted adjacent. the other end of the table top swingably about a horizontal axis; a seat-- supporting member mounted on said support swingably about a vertical axis; second seat-supporting member mounted on the leg swingably about a vertical axis; a seat mounted adjacent its ends respectively on said members swingably about horizontal axes, all said horizontal axes being parallel and said vertical axes being aligned in the vertical position of the table top.

In a structure of the character described; a support; a table top mounted adj acent one end on the support swingably about a horizontal axis to horizontal and vertical positions and having a leg mounted adjacent the other end of the table top swingably about a horizontal axis; a seat-supportillg member mounted on said support swingably about a vertical axis; a second seat-supporting member mounted on the leg swingably about a vertical axis; a seat mounted adj acent its ends respectively on said incinbers swingably about horizontal axes, all said horizontal axes being parallel andthe second seat-supporting member resting on the floor in the horizontal position of the table top.

In a structure of the character described: a support; a table top mounted adj acent one end on the support swingably about a horizontal axis to horizontal and vertical positions, and having aleg mounted adjacent the other'end of the table top swingably about a horizontal axis; a seat-supporting member mounted on said support swingably about a vertical axis; a second-seat-supporting member mounted on the leg swingably about a vertical axis; a seat mounted adjacent its ends respectively on said members swingably about horizontal axes, all said horizontal axes being parallel; a back mounted on the set swingably to operative raised position and to a position parallel With the seat.

In a structure of the character described: a support; a table top mounted adjacent one end on the support sWingably about a horizontal axis to horizontal and vertical positions, and having a legmounted adjacent the other end of the table top svvingably about a horizontal axis; a seatsupporting member mounted on said support swingably about a vertical axis; a second seat-supporting member; a seat mounted adjacent its ends respectively on said members swingably about horizontal axes, all said horizontal axes being parallel.

6. In astruc-ture of the character described: a support; a table top mounted adjacent one end on the support sivingably about a horizontal axis to horizontal and vertical positions, and having a leg mounted adjacent the other end of the table top swingably about a horizontal axis; a seatsupporting member mounted on said support swingably about a vertical axis; a second seatsupporting member; a seat mounted adj acent its ends respectively on said members swingably about horizontal axes, all said horizontal axes being parallel and the second seat-supporting member resting on the floor in the horizontal position of the table top.

In astructure of the character de scribed: a support; a table top mounted adjacent one end on the support swingably about a horizontal axis to horizontal and vertical positions, and having a leg mounted adjacent the other end of the table top swingably about a horizontal axis; a seat supporting member mounted on said sup port swingably about a vertical axis; a sec ond seat-supporting member; a seat mounted adjacent its ends respectively on said mem bers swingably about horizontal axes, all said horizontal axes being parallel; a back mounted on the seat sWingably to operative raised position and to a position parallel with the seat.

In a structure of the character described, a support; a table top mounted adjacent one end on the support sWingably about a hori zontal to horizontal and vertical positions, an d having a leg mounted adjacent the other end, of the table top swingably'about a horizontal axis; a seat supporting memb r attached to and extending laterally from said support; a second seat supporting member attachedto and extending laterally from said leg; a seat mounted adjacent its ends respectively on said members swingably about horizontal axes, all said horizontal axes being parallel. In a structure of the character described, a support; ata-ble top mounted adjacent one end ofthe support sWingably about a horizontal axis to horizontal or vertical positions, and having a leg mounted adjacent the other end of the table top swingably about a horizontal axis; a seat supporting member attached to said support and extending laterally from thelovver portion thereof; a horizontal bar connected to the lower end of said leg and having a vertical portion extending upwardly from the bar spaced from said leg; a seat mounted ad IOU lUS
