rlhis invention relates to an' improved article carrier or holder of the leather holder type, used for carrying keys and the like. In accordance with tlie present invention, the holder is improved first by providing it with an outside pocket for receiving an automobile drivers license card. Secondly, the holder is improved by providing the central portion of the leather holder, on its inner surface, with a backing and reinforcing plate, which prevents collapsing of the holder and bending or distortion of the license card.

These improvements will be better understood from the following detailed description and drawings.

Referring now to the drawings by`reference numerals, it will be seen that the leather folder comprises a central section 4 having` a longitudinal edge Hap 5 foldable over 'the backing and reinforcing metal plate 6. This plate is of an area as shown in Figure 2 andA is riveted to the inner surface of the portion 4.

On the outer surface of this portion is a piece of leather or the like 7, which is fastened in place to provide a pocket for removable reception of a drivers permit or license card 8. This reinforces the central portion 4 of the leather folder and prevents the keys from being pressed against the license card to bend or crack it. In addition, it maintains the pocket straight at all times, to ficilitate-easy insertion and removal of the car The simplicity of the improvement is such as to permit a clear understanding of the invention to be had, after reading the description in connection with the drawings. Therefore, a more lengthy description is regarded pocket formed on the exterior ofthe central portion of the folder, a backing and reinforcing plate fastened'to the inner surface of said central portion and occupying substantially the full area of said central l portion and formed at one end with a multiplicity of knuckles, and a plurality of key hooks hingedlyconnected with said knuckles.
