The commonly used shoes have the defect that, when the sole or the heel are worn, the)1 have to be repaired by a bootmaker.
This invention has for its object to obviate 5 this inconvenience by making the sole and the heel interchangeable so that anybody can substitute a fresh sole or heel for a worn sole or heel.
Several embodiments of the invention are l illustrated by way of example in the accompanying drawing in which:
Fig. l shows a shoe with interchangeable sole and heel.
Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section through sole l and heel.

This interchangeable sole fixed on the boot, does not look different from a stationary sole. On the extension of the stationary heel a plate e of brass is fixed by means of.y screws.v said plate corresponding as regards size and form to the stationary heel. Onto this brass late e a detachable heel d is to be attached y means of screws. This detachable heel d has a brass frame f adapted to be ushed over 4" the brass plate e.
The interchangeable sole b is secured in its position by this detachable heel d. In the heel piece and in the detachable heel a vertical' bore is arranged designed to receive a short rod h which is shorter than the two 350,536, and in roland December 1o, 1927.
bores together so that it can drop into the detachable heel al and secure the same in position.
To remove the detachable heel d the boot has to be turned upside down so that the bolt drops out of the bore of the detachable heel which can then be removed.
A boot with interchangeable sole, according to the invention looks accurately like an ordinary boot;
