IMPROVEMENT IN STOVE- PIPE SHELVES.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 177,91 1, dated May 23, 1876; applicationfiled March 4, 1876.

To all whom it mag concern:

Be it known that we, D. G. WOLF and F. M. SAXBY, of Keota, in the county of Keokuk, and in the State of Iowa, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Stove- Shelves; and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this specification.

The nature of our invention consists in a leaf provided with semicircular hooks, in combination with a shelf or bracket having slotted projections, whereby, when the leaf is horizontally secured to the shelf or bracket, a bearing is formed under both shelf and leaf, as hereinafter more fully set forth.

In order to enable others skilled in the art to which our invention appertains to make and use the same, we will now proceed to describe its construction and operation, referring to the annexed drawing, in which Figure l is a plan view, and Fig. 2 a longitudinal section, of our invention. Fig. 3 shows our invention applied to a general house-shelf.

This invention may be applied for general house-shelves by having a bracket, D, secured to the wall, said bracket being provided with the slotted projections 01, and the leaf or shelf can then be attached thereto.

Having thus fully described our invention, what we claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The leaf 0, provided with the semicircular hooks h h, in combination with a shelfor bracket having slotted projections d d, whereby, when the leaf is horizontally secured to the shelf or bracket, a bearing is formed under both shelf and leaf, substantially as and for the purposes herein set forth.
