UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE 1 Claim.

This invention relates to nozzles and its general object is to provide a convertible device for use as a syringe or as a bathing spray, and is convertible from one to the other in an easy 5. and expeditious manner as it includes only two movable parts, one being the spray pan of the spray nozzle and the other the syringe nozzle and tube thereof, and when the latter nozzle is in use, the bowl of the spray nozzle acts as a water shield.

A further object of the invention is to provide a device of the character set forth, that is simple in construction, inexpensive to manufacture and extremely eiiicient in operation and service.

This invention also consists in certain other features of construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, to be hereinafter fully described, illustrated in theraccompanying drawing and specifically pointed out in` the appended claim.

In describing my invention in detail, reference will be had to the accompanying drawing wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and

Figure 3 is a front elevation with the spray pan and syringe removed.

Referring to the drawing in detail, the reference numeral 1 indicates a bowl which acts in the capacity as a body for the spray nozzle as well as a shield, in a manner which will be later described. Formed with the bowl 1 is a neck 2 which is adapted to receive one end of a hose 3. The bowl may be of fanciful design and includes a threaded portion 4 that is adapted to threadedly receive the ange 5 of the spray pan 6.V

Secured in the neck 2 is a nipple '7 that has formed therewith a stop collar 8 and is provided with a threaded portion 9 extending from the collar 8 as shown in Figures 1 and 2.

The threaded portion of the nipple 7 is adapted 60 tothreadedly receive the tube l0 of a syringe nozzle 11, and when it is desired to use my device as a syringe the spray pan 6 is removed and the syringe nozzle is secured to the nipple '7 as shown in Figure 2. Oi course, the device can be easily converted to the spray nozzle by removing the syringe nozzle and applying the spray pan by threadedly securing the latter to the threaded portion 4 of the bowl 1.

When the device is used as a syringe, it will be obvious that the` bowl l of the spray nozzle acts in the capacity as a water shield in that it prevents water from coming in contact with the hand or hands of the user, with the result the parts of the spray nozzle cooperate with the 7 syringe nozzle.

It is thought from the foregoing description that the advantages and novel features of my invention will be readily apparent.

I desire it to be understood that I may make changes in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, provided that such changes fall within the scope of the appended claim.

What I claim isil A convertible bath device comprising a bowl, a threaded portion on the large end of the bowl to detachably receive a spray pan, a neck formed on the other end of the bowl to receive a hose, a nipple including a threaded end and being secured in the neck with the threaded end eX- .tending into the bowl to threadedly receive a syringe nozzle when the spray pan is removed from the bowl.y
