Abstract
A dart board display device includes a reflection board having with an inner polarization board connected thereto, an inner glass board connected to the inner polarization board and an inner circuit board connected to the inner glass board. A liquid crystal display board is connected to the inner circuit board and an outer circuit board is connected to the liquid crystal display board. An outer glass board is connected to the outer circuit board and an outer polarization board is connected to the outer glass board. The inner polarization board and the outer polarization board are both rotated 90 degrees so as to obtain light points on the liquid crystal display board.
Description
- The present invention relates to a dart board display device using liquid crystal display which is cooperated with two polarization boards which are rotated 90 degrees so as to obtain light points on the display device.
- There are two conventional dart board display devices for displaying scores, one employs a light emitting diode and the other employs a liquid crystal display. The display device using light emitting diodes can only display simple type of information. However, the light emitting diodes display the information clearly and brightly so that the display device can be used in a dark place so that the players see the scores on the display device clearly even if the room is dark. On the contrary, the display device using liquid crystal display can provide vigorous and colorful motion pictures. Nevertheless, the display device using liquid crystal display cannot light by itself so that it cannot be used in a dark area so that when the dart game is used in a dark area, the players have to come close to the display device to see the information. FIG. 5 shows a display device using liquid crystal display (LCD) includes a
reflection board 10 and aninner polarization board 11 and anouter polarization board 110. Twoglass boards 12 are respectively connected to the twopolarization boards circuit boards 14 are connected to the twoglass boards 12. Aliquid crystal display 13 is clamped between the twocircuit boards 14 which provide electric voltage to arrange thedark points 131 of theliquid crystal display 13 so that the information can be displayed by the arrangement of thedark points 131. - In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a dart board and comprises a frame having a body restrained therein and a display device is engaged with the frame. The display device has a reflection board with an inner polarization board connected thereto and an inner glass board is connected to the inner polarization board. An inner circuit board is connected to the
inner glass board 33 and a liquid crystal display board is connected to the inner circuit board. An outer circuit board is connected to the liquid crystal display board and an outer glass board is connected to the outer circuit board. An outer polarization board is connected to the outer glass board. The inner polarization board and the outer polarization board are both rotated 90 degrees. - The primary object of the present invention is to provide a dart board display device that employs a liquid crystal display board and two reflection boards wherein the two reflection boards are rotated 90 degrees so as to obtain light points on the liquid crystal display board.
- The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
- FIG. 1 is a plan view to show a dart board with a display device of the present invention;
- FIG. 2 is a cross sectional view to show the display device of the present invention;
- FIG. 3 is a perspective view to show the display device of the present invention with the two reflection boards being rotated 90 degrees;
- FIG. 4 is a cross sectional view to show the display device of the present invention, wherein two polarization areas are defined in each of the polarization boards, and
- FIG. 5 is a cross sectional view to show a conventional display device of the present invention.
- Referring to FIGS.1 to 3, the dart board includes a
frame 20 and abody 21 is restrained in theframe 20. A plurality ofseparation ribs 210 separate thebody 21 into several score partitions. Adisplay device 30 of the present invention is engaged with theframe 20 and comprises areflection board 31 which has an active light source such as a light emitting diode, and aninner polarization board 32 is connected to thereflection board 31. Aninner glass board 33 has a first surface thereof connected to theinner polarization board 32 and aninner circuit board 35 has a first surface thereof connected to a second surface of theinner glass board 33. A liquidcrystal display board 34 has a first surface thereof connected to a second surface of theinner circuit board 35 and anouter circuit board 350 has a first surface thereof connected to a second surface of the liquidcrystal display board 34. Anouter glass board 330 has a first surface thereof connected to a second surface of theouter circuit board 350 and anouter polarization board 320 has a first surface thereof connected to a second surface of theouter glass board 330. It is to be noted that theinner polarization board 32 and theouter polarization board 320 are both rotated 90 degrees as shown in FIG. 3 so as to obtainlight points 341 on the liquidcrystal display board 34. By thelight points 341 on the liquidcrystal display board 34, the scores displayed on the display device of the present invention can be seen clearly in a dark room. - As shown in FIG. 4, the
inner polarization board 32 and theouter polarization board 320 each have twopolarization areas crystal display board 34 can be shown by light point mold or dark point mold on thedisplay device 30. Theinner polarization board 32 and theouter polarization board 320 are able to be slidable on thedisplay device 30 so that the players can control the display molds by moving theinner polarization board 32 and theouter polarization board 320. A time control member such as an IC chip can be used to set a period of time during which thelight points 341 are on so as to save the electric energy of thedisplay device 30. - While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
