Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a dart board display device using liquid crystal display which is cooperated with two polarization boards which are rotated 90 degrees so as to obtain light points on the display device. [0001]
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • There are two conventional dart board display devices for displaying scores, one employs a light emitting diode and the other employs a liquid crystal display. The display device using light emitting diodes can only display simple type of information. However, the light emitting diodes display the information clearly and brightly so that the display device can be used in a dark place so that the players see the scores on the display device clearly even if the room is dark. On the contrary, the display device using liquid crystal display can provide vigorous and colorful motion pictures. Nevertheless, the display device using liquid crystal display cannot light by itself so that it cannot be used in a dark area so that when the dart game is used in a dark area, the players have to come close to the display device to see the information. FIG. 5 shows a display device using liquid crystal display (LCD) includes a [0002] reflection board 10 and an inner polarization board 11 and an outer polarization board 110. Two glass boards 12 are respectively connected to the two polarization boards 11, 110 and two circuit boards 14 are connected to the two glass boards 12. A liquid crystal display 13 is clamped between the two circuit boards 14 which provide electric voltage to arrange the dark points 131 of the liquid crystal display 13 so that the information can be displayed by the arrangement of the dark points 131.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a dart board and comprises a frame having a body restrained therein and a display device is engaged with the frame. The display device has a reflection board with an inner polarization board connected thereto and an inner glass board is connected to the inner polarization board. An inner circuit board is connected to the [0003] inner glass board 33 and a liquid crystal display board is connected to the inner circuit board. An outer circuit board is connected to the liquid crystal display board and an outer glass board is connected to the outer circuit board. An outer polarization board is connected to the outer glass board. The inner polarization board and the outer polarization board are both rotated 90 degrees.
  • The primary object of the present invention is to provide a dart board display device that employs a liquid crystal display board and two reflection boards wherein the two reflection boards are rotated 90 degrees so as to obtain light points on the liquid crystal display board. [0004]
  • The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention. [0005]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a plan view to show a dart board with a display device of the present invention; [0006]
  • FIG. 2 is a cross sectional view to show the display device of the present invention; [0007]
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view to show the display device of the present invention with the two reflection boards being rotated 90 degrees; [0008]
  • FIG. 4 is a cross sectional view to show the display device of the present invention, wherein two polarization areas are defined in each of the polarization boards, and [0009]
  • FIG. 5 is a cross sectional view to show a conventional display device of the present invention.[0010]
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to FIGS. [0011] 1 to 3, the dart board includes a frame 20 and a body 21 is restrained in the frame 20. A plurality of separation ribs 210 separate the body 21 into several score partitions. A display device 30 of the present invention is engaged with the frame 20 and comprises a reflection board 31 which has an active light source such as a light emitting diode, and an inner polarization board 32 is connected to the reflection board 31. An inner glass board 33 has a first surface thereof connected to the inner polarization board 32 and an inner circuit board 35 has a first surface thereof connected to a second surface of the inner glass board 33. A liquid crystal display board 34 has a first surface thereof connected to a second surface of the inner circuit board 35 and an outer circuit board 350 has a first surface thereof connected to a second surface of the liquid crystal display board 34. An outer glass board 330 has a first surface thereof connected to a second surface of the outer circuit board 350 and an outer polarization board 320 has a first surface thereof connected to a second surface of the outer glass board 330. It is to be noted that the inner polarization board 32 and the outer polarization board 320 are both rotated 90 degrees as shown in FIG. 3 so as to obtain light points 341 on the liquid crystal display board 34. By the light points 341 on the liquid crystal display board 34, the scores displayed on the display device of the present invention can be seen clearly in a dark room.
  • As shown in FIG. 4, the [0012] inner polarization board 32 and the outer polarization board 320 each have two polarization areas 321 and 322 between which 90 degrees polarization degrees are defined. In other words, the information on the liquid crystal display board 34 can be shown by light point mold or dark point mold on the display device 30. The inner polarization board 32 and the outer polarization board 320 are able to be slidable on the display device 30 so that the players can control the display molds by moving the inner polarization board 32 and the outer polarization board 320. A time control member such as an IC chip can be used to set a period of time during which the light points 341 are on so as to save the electric energy of the display device 30.
  • While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. [0013]
