Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to high top golf shoes. [0001]
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • In many sports, athletic shoes are made to protect the user's feet from injury. In basketball, high top sneakers are made to protect a user's ankles. [0002]
  • Golfers suffer many foot and ankle injuries. Golfers may golf on hills, in sand, on grass, and other types of surfaces. There are no golf shoes made today which protect a golfer's ankles. [0003]
  • U.S. Pat. No. 6,158,151 relates to a golf shoe that naturally shifts the center of weight into a heel portion and causes a smooth swing. [0004]
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a high top golf shoe which protects a golfer's ankles. It is an object of the present invention for the golf shoes to have a plurality of spikes on their soles, and the sole has a heel and toe portion. It an object of the present invention for the golf shoe to provide support for a golfer's ankles. It is an object of the present invention for the golf shoe not to interfere with the normal stroke that a golfer is used to swinging. It is an object of the present invention for the golf shoe to have spikes, a sole having a heel and toe portion, fastening means and high top uppers.[0005]

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • FIG. 1 illustrates a preferred embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 1 show a [0007] golf shoe 10 which has spikes 12, a heel 14, laces 16 and high top uppers 18. In a preferred embodiment, the heel 14 is padded for extra comfort. The high top 18 provides firm support. In a preferred embodiment, the spikes 12 are regulation soft spikes. In a preferred embodiment the laces 16 are reinforced laces. Other means can be used to tighten the shoe around a user's foot such as velcro or buckles. In a preferred embodiment, high top uppers 18 are cushioned.

Claims (11)

1. A high top golf shoe comprising;
spikes, a sole having a heel and toe portion, fastening means and high top uppers.
2. The golf shoe of claim 1 wherein said shoe protects a golfer's ankles.
3. The golf shoe of claim 1 wherein said golf shoe provides support for a golfer's ankles.
4. The golf shoe of claim 1 wherein said golf shoe does not interfere with a normal stroke that a golfer uses when swinging.
5. The golf shoe of claim 1 wherein said heel is padded.
6. The golf shoe of claim 1 wherein said high top provides firm support.
7. The golf shoe of claim 1 wherein said spikes are regulation soft spikes.
8. The golf shoe of claim 1 wherein said fastening means are laces.
9. The golf shoe of claim 8 wherein said laces are reinforced laces
10. The golf shoe of claim 1 wherein said fastening means comprises velcro or buckles.
11. The golf shoe of claim 1 wherein said high top uppers are cushioned.
