Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention generally relates to an extrusion pallet extruded by plastics and, more specifically, to an unified extrusion pallet that a separate supporting table is not needed, by forming a fork bar leading hole, in which a fork bar of a forklift truck is inserted, at a main body of the pallet in a longitudinal direction, forming a reinforcing slat, which has sections crossed diagonally to have an X shape, in respective middle-sized holes in a lateral direction, and forming a plurality of nonskid protrusions on an upper plane in a longitudinal direction.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- In general, pallets for carrying and piling loads were made by use of wood so as to have an upper part, a lower part, and a support. However, the use of wood has been limited for environmental protection. Since wooded pallets are made manually and are weak against moisture, they are not fit for mass production and to be piled for a long time.
- To solve such problems, there has been proposed a plastic pallet that is light and strong against moisture. Since the plastic pallet is made by use of an injection blow molding method, its cost of production is high. For this reason, the plastic pallet must be withdrawn.
- Such problems as the plastic pallet can be solved by a method for making a pallet by use of an extrusion molding method. Such a method is disclosed in Korea examined utility model No. 200141746. A pallet made by using the aforementioned method, as illustrated in FIG. 1, has an upper plate1, a
lower plate 2, and supports 7.Partition walls 6 for reinforcing in a longitudinal direction are formed at each of the upper andlower plates 1 and 2, and the supports 7 are adhered between the upper plate 1 and thelower plate 2. Each of the supports 7 has partition walls for reinforcing in a lateral direction, which are placed and adhered on the same line as those of the upper andlower plates 1 and 2. - Such products are shaped by an extrusion fashion, while the upper plate1, the
lower plate 2 and the supports 7 forming the pallet of FIG. 1 must be fabricated separately and adhered to each other. For this reason, a fabricating process is complicated, so that the cost of production is increased and working hours become longer. In case of a conventional pallet in FIG. 1, furthermore, to prevent a load piled on the upper plate 1 from escaping, a plurality ofholes 5 are separately formed at the upper plate 1 and then packing is inserted in each of theholes 5. Thus a fabricating process is more complicated and much manpower is required. - It is an object of the present invention to a unified extrusion pallet capable of being fabricated by only one main body without a separate assembly process.
- This object can be accomplished by forming fork insertion holes at a body, forming diagonally crossed reinforcement slats at each of middle-sized holes formed so as to be penetrated in a longitudinal direction, and forming skid-proof protrusions on an upper plate, which will be described in detail below with reference to accompanying drawings.
- FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing a conventional extrusion pallet;
- FIG. 2 is a perspective diagram of a unified extrusion pallet according to a first preferred embodiment of the present invention;
- FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of a middle-sized hole of a unified extrusion pallet according to a second preferred embodiment of the present invention;
- FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram of an upper plate of a unified extrusion pallet according to a third preferred embodiment of the present invention;
- FIG. 5 is a schematic diagram of a unified extrusion pallet according to a fourth preferred embodiment of the present invention; and
- FIGS. 6A to6C are schematic diagrams of a unified extrusion pallet according to a fifth preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 2 shows a unified extrusion pallet according to a first embodiment of the present invention. As illustrated in a figure, a pallet according to the present invention consists of
fork insertion holes 10, middle-sizedholes 11 and skid-proof protrusions 13, which are constructed so as to form a single body. Forks of a forklift truck are respectively inserted in thefork insertion holes 10. The middle-sizedholes 11 are formed at both sides of the respectivefork insertion hole 10. Each of the middle-holes 11 has a reinforcingslat 15, consisting of diagonally crossed sections, for preventing a twist of the pallet. The skid-proof protrusions are formed at an upper plane of the pallet so as to be projected therefrom. - In this embodiment, plural small-sized
holes 12 are formed at the pallet, thus saving raw materials. It is desirable that each of the reinforcingslats 15 is formed to have a diagonally crossed X-shape being a lateral stress-resistant structure. This is because the twist of the pallet arises in left and right directions. Thus it is possible to effectively prevent such a problem that the pallet is twisted in the left and right directions. - Although not shown in FIG. 2, the same reinforcing slat as that of the middle-
sized hole 11 can be formed at each of the small-sizedholes 12. In this embodiment, it is preferable to mold thefork insertion holes 10, the middle-sizedholes 11 and the skid-proof protrusions 13 so as to be penetrated in a longitudinal direction where they are extruded. The skid-proof protrusions 13 are formed at regular intervals considering the size of a load to be piled, thus preventing a piled load from sliding. - FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of a middle-sized hole of a unified extrusion pallet according to a second preferred embodiment of the present invention. With the second preferred embodiment, a shape of a reinforcing slat formed at each middle-
sized hole 11 is modified. As illustrated in FIG. 3, acrisscross slat 15″ is further added to the reinforcing slat of the diagonally crossed X-shape, thus strengthening a stress against left and right twists. Similarly, the modified reinforcingslat 15″ can be formed at each small-sized hole 12. - FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram of an upper plate of a unified extrusion pallet according to a third preferred embodiment of the present invention. As illustrated in FIG. 4, skid-
proof grooves 17 are formed at an upper plane of the pallet instead of the skid-proof protrusions 13 illustrated respectively in FIGS. 2 and 3. The pallet according to the third preferred embodiment can be used to pile a load of large weight. Since the skid-proof grooves 17 are formed downward, the skid-proof grooves 17 can be prevented from being destroyed because of own weight of a piled load. - FIG. 5 is a schematic diagram of a unified extrusion pallet according to a fourth preferred embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, to prevent a load piled on an upper plane from sliding,
concave portions 18 and convexportions 19 are formed at an upper plane of the pallet according to the fourth embodiment. The concave andconvex portions concave portions 18 and convexportions 19 are formed at a lower plane of the pallet. This makes it easy to pile and keep plural sheets of pallets. - FIGS. 6A to6C are schematic diagrams of a unified extrusion pallet according to a fifth preferred embodiment of the present invention. A plastic
fluorescent plate 22 is inserted and coupled into a plurality of small-sized holes 12 around each fork insertion hole of the unified extrusion pallet as described with the first embodiment of the present invention in FIG. 2. The plasticfluorescent plate 22 is made of a plastic material to which a fluorescent material is added. The plasticfluorescent plate 22 has a plurality ofprojections 20 formed at a back plane. Arectangular hole 21, in which a fork is inserted, is formed at the plasticfluorescent plate 22. With this embodiment, the position of thefork insertion hole 10 can be distinguished easily owing to light when working at night. Coupling of the plasticfluorescent plate 22 with the plurality of small-sized holes 12 around thefork insertion hole 10 of the unified extrusion pallet is accomplished by inserting of the plurality ofprojections 20, formed at a back side of the plate, into the small-sized holes 12. - As described above, the present invention provides a pallet structure for making a pallet be formed both by a single extrusion process for all elements and in a longitudinal direction and for effectively preventing the left and right twists of the pallet. Thus a pallet, which continues to be extruded in a limitless length, is cut by a predetermined length, so that products can be completed.
- As described above, the present invention can solve such problems of a conventional pallet that three dies are required because an upper plate, a lower plate and a support are separately fabricated and then adhered to each other and that the cost of materials, fabricating time, and manpower are too heavy owing to many working processes. Since a pallet of the present invention is completed with a single extrusion process, a process is simple and raw materials are saved owing to a single main body. Furthermore, since only one expensive die is used, the cost of production and the time of production are remarkably saved.
- The pallet according to the present invention is lightened through reducing of an unnecessary volume. It is easy to carry and keep a pallet owing to a simple structure. Forming of a reinforcing slat having a crossed section shape effectively prevents left and right twisting.
