Abstract

The invention is a Quick Access feature designed to assist users access an object in its protected container quickly and intuitively. This feature may be attached to a pouch, a bag, a pocket or another item designed to carry objects, including apparel that has built-in pockets or attached pockets such as those on shirt or pants. While the invention allows quick access, it does not compromise accessibility nor security of the contained objects. Moreover, the reinforced piece that creates the Quick Access feature can be easily and economically made using a variety of economical manufacturing processes (molding, metal stamping, etc.) and using economical material (plastic, metal, leather, etc.). If the container is made of prefabricated material (hard leather, metal, hardened plastic, etc.), the feature can be implemented directly on the container.

Description

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

Currently designed containers, especially those for mobile phones, personal digital assistants (PDA) and similar objects, require some level of attentiveness and dexterity from the user to access the object in the container. Also, with existing container designs, users have to compromise between accessibility and security of a contained object.

Thus, the inventor created Quick Access Feature to help assist users in the process of accessing objects in their containers. Therefore, quick access feature allows for the quick-draw of objects but does not compromise accessibility nor security.

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide a novel method of permitting instant accessibility to facilitate a quick-draw of a contained object. Another object of the present invention to provide a novel quick access feature that can be incorporated into existing containers or built-in by design.

Another object of the present invention to provide a quick access feature as described above that lends itself to a variety of economical manufacturing processes using a variety of economical materials.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

FIG. 1 is a front view of a [0010] pliable carrying bag 1 with two attached front pockets 2 to carry objects. Quick Access feature consists of a reinforced piece 3, made of rigid material, attached along the edge of a split gap 4. The gap is wide enough to insert a finger.

It will be evident to those skilled in the art that the invention is not limited to the details of the foregoing illustrative figures and that the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the essential attributes thereof. It is therefore desired that the present figures be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive, reference being made to the appended claims, rather than to the foregoing description, and all changes which come within the meaning and range of equivalency of the claims are therefore intended to be embraced therein. Claims

I claim:

1. An attached feature to a container such as a pocket, bag or prefabricated container that assists a user to access a contained object, allowing quick-draw of a contained object there from, comprising:

One or more split gaps in a container having sufficient size allowing user to access a contained object via the said gap.

2. An attached feature according to claim 1, means for accessing an object in a container by pushing a contained object directly or indirectly via the said gap toward a container's opening in order to retrieve object out of container.

3. An attached feature according to claim 1, wherein said container is made of rigid material such as hardened plastic, metal, treated leather, etc., said gap can be implemented directly on a container during prefabrication process.

4. An attached feature according to claim 1, said gap to be implement via a reinforced piece to be attached along the edge of the said gap.

5. A reinforced piece according to claim 4, wherein said reinforced piece is made of rigid, non-pliable materials.
