Abstract
A novelty message kit having a shipping box, a container, stopper, decorative cord, message paper, instructions sheet, protective sleeve, method of securing message, and decorative materials packets. The present invention can serve a wide variety of useful purposes, such as a greeting device, advertising premium, fundraising device, souvenir, business gift, and a stress reduction product.
Description
- This objective of this invention is to provide a mailable novelty message kit which is cost effective and can serve a wide variety of useful purposes, such as a greeting device, advertising premium, fundraising device, souvenir, or business gift.
- The conventional way of mailing a message is in a container or envelope. Decorations can be added to the container or envelope but they are soon discarded since they serve no useful purpose after the opening the package and reading the message. The message is normally discarded after reading or kept on display for a short time in the home or office. The novelty message kit will be proudly displayed at the home or office where it will be a conversation piece, stay on display for many months, years and become a keepsake.
- Another objective of this invention is to offer an alternative to the traditional greeting devices, advertising premiums, fundraising devices, souvenirs and business gifts.
- Another objective of this invention is it allows the user to relieve stress from everyday life.
- The U.S. Pat. No. 4,842,140 to Mesnard(1989) discloses a novelty mailer for mailing correspondence via civil and commercial entities. A thin-walled transparent shatterproof molded plastic container, much like a flask, which houses a parcel or written message, along with decorative materials. The novelty mailer is flat, to facilitate its purpose of being mailed by civil or commercial postal services, much like an envelope, it is adorned with a label on one side and a mailing label on the other side.
- The novelty mailer was either never received due to damage it ascertained during the mailing process or when it was received it was soon discard since it was unattractive, smashed and unsightly. Also the decorations in the novelty mailer themselves had become broken and unpleasant from the mailing process.
- In this respect, the novelty message kit according to the present invention substantially departs from the conventional concepts and designs of the prior art, and in doing so provides an alternative to the traditional greeting devices, advertising premiums, fundraising devices, souvenirs and business gifts and allows the user to relieve stress.
- In accordance with the present invention a novelty message kit, a shipping box that doubles as a point of sales display, the box contains a protective sleeve, container, message paper, instruction sheet, stopper, decorative cord, packets of decorative items, and method of securing message.
- Accordingly, besides the objects and advantages of the novelty message kit described in my above patent, several objects and advantages of the present invention are:
- (a) it will not be unsightly and unattractive to recipient
- (b) it will be kept instead of discarded which is better for the environment
- (c) it can be recycled which is better for the environment

message paper 39,instruction sheet 42, andprotective sleeve 43 are wrapped aroundcontainer 34, they are placed inshipping box 35, along withdecorative materials packets stopper 36,decorative cord 37, mailing label(not shown), and means of securingmessage 38. - Conclusions, Ramifications, and Scope.
- It is the primary object of this invention to provide a novelty message kit which is cost effective and can serve a wide variety of useful purposes, such as a greeting device, advertising premium, fundraising device, souvenir, or business gift.
- it is a stress reduction device from everyday life.
- its good for the environment instead of being discard it will be kept.
- it can be recycled instead of being discarded.
- Although the description above contains many specifities, these should not be construed as limiting the scope of the invention but merely providing illustrations of some the presently preferred embodiments of this invention.
Claims (1)
1. A novelty message kit comprising of a box, a container, a stopper, a decorative cord, a means of securing message, message paper, instructions sheet, protective sleeve, and a plurality of decorative materials packets.
