Abstract

Fishermen Poker is a 9 cards draw poker game (two decks) with bonus when the house dealer is involved in playing. Players can surrender their hand. It is a 14 cards draw poker game (four decks) when the house dealer is not involved in playing, just providing service. Both two decks Fishermen poker and four decks Fishermen Poker are allowing players to use the same strategies, such as, discard cards, draw cards with additional wagers, pass and fold to play against to dealer or other players. Players have to use their best 5 cards to compare to each other or compare with dealer's best 5 cards. The higher rank poker hand wins the game.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The invention relates to the traditional poker game and other type of poker games and “go fish” card game. The invention relates to the games in which multiple players engage in play said taking turns, wherein each turn may include taking action associated with cards in their hand, drawing cards from the shoe, discarding cards, and exchange cards.
  • There are two major types, draw and stud, poker games. In general, poker is playing by the ranking system, such as; Royal Flush is the highest rank. Straight Flush is the second highest rank. The following ranks are Five of a kind, Four of a kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, Three of a kind, Two pairs, One pair and high card.
  • “Go Fish” card game comprising players are dealt a predetermined number of cards (for instance, seven). Players can exchange cards with one another. If one player requests a type of card the opponent does not have, the opponent responds by directing the requesting player to “go fish” whereupon the requesting player draws a card from a deck or pile of cards.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention has multiple players engage in play comprising: 1) individual players taking actions based on the initial seven cards in their hands. 2) Individual players improving their hand by drawing cards from the shoe through the exchange process.
  • Two decks Fishermen Poker game is playable using two decks of standard playing 52 cards without joker. It is a 9 cards draw poker game that player using their best 5 cards to compete with dealer's best 5 cards.
  • Players can discard two cards and draw two cards; each discard card should be place on the exchange area with half of the ante. Dealer cannot draw any cards.
  • Players have to place the discard card face down with half of their original bet on the exchange betting area in order for dealer to draw a replacement card from the shoe to substitute the discard card.
  • Dealer has to deal the game clockwise.
  • Players get paid even money for ante if their hand beat dealer's hand.
  • Four decks Fishermen Poker is a 14 cards draw poker game that players are dealt seven cards at the beginning. Players have to use their best five cards to compete with each other to win the pot. Dealer dose not participate the playing.
  • For four decks Fishermen Poker, players use discard cards and buying new cards (exchange) as strategy to improve their own hand. The buying wager as following:
    • Player has to place additional wager, $1.00, to get the first substitute card.
    • Player has to place additional wager, $2.00, to get the second substitute card.
    • Player has to place additional wager, $3.00, to get the third substitute card.
    • Player has to place additional wager, $4.00, to get the fourth substitute card.
    • Player has to place additional wager, $5.00, to get the fifth substitute card.
    • Player has to place additional wager, $6.00, to get the sixth substitute card.
    • Player has to place additional wager, $7.00, to get the seventh substitute card.
  • For four decks Fishermen Poker, there is no check, raise, re-raise, fold, all-in strategies get involve. Players can pass any buying process, fold, and draw cards with additional wager.
  • For four decks Fishermen Poker, players have to use their best five cards to compare to each other. The highest rank of poker hand wins the pot. If two players have the identical hand, the pot is split between them.
  • For four decks Fishermen Poker, house provides the service and gets profit from the pot.
  • Two decks Fishermen Poker is a 9 cards draw poker game with bonus that players using their best 5 cards to compete with dealer's best 5 cards.
  • Four decks Fishermen Poker also is a 14 cards draw poker game when dealer is not participating the play. When it is using two decks of standard playing cards without joker, it is a house bank game that player can draw two cards, but dealer cannot draw any cards.

Claims (25)

1. The method of playing Fishermen Poker card game comprising: players (1 to 10 players) making an Ante wager and additional wager to buy the exchange (replacement) cards. The game is playable using two or four standard decks of 52 cards without joker.
(a) Two decks Fishermen Poker is a 9 cards draw poker game that player using their best 5 cards to compare with dealer's best 5 cards, but dealer cannot draw any cards. It is a house bank game that players can draw two cards one at a time with the additional wager, one half of their ante, and discard card.
(b) Four decks Fishermen Poker is a 14 cards draw poker game that players using their best five cards to compare with each other. Dealer dose not participate the playing.
(c) Both two decks and four decks Fishermen Poker are using the traditional poker hands to play the game. Such as, Royal Flush is the highest rank. Straight Flush is the second highest rank. The following ranks are Five of a kind, Four of a kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, Three of a kind, Two pairs, One pair and high card.
2. To play the two decks Fishermen Poker game, each player participating in the game makes a wager by placing the desired wager on the ante betting area, which is the Fisherman. Players (2 to 14) get dealt 7 cards initially. They have to use the best five cards compete to each other to win the pot. To play the game, each player participating in the game makes a minimum wager. Then, dealer deal 7 cards to each player. If players do not like the hand, the players can discard seven cards they don't like and get seven replacement cards to improve their hand by placing the cards (one at a time) they don't like with additional wager on the exchange area, which is the Fish. Dealer then deal a card to the player (one at a time) from the shoe to replace the card player does not want. This replacement processing is taking in a rotation manner that each player takes a turn to exchange the card from the dealer. No surrender, no raise, no re-raise, no check, no fold and all-in are using in Four Decks Fishermen Poker.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein player has to place the bonus wager, $1.00, and ante before the 7 cards is dealt to him/her. The bonus only good for the initiate five cards out of 7 cards that were drawn for the hand. The bonus chart is followed:
One pair  1 to 1 Two pairs  2 to 1 Three of a kind  5 to 1 Straight  8 to 1 Flush  10 to 1 Full house  30 to 1 Four of a kind  50 to 1 Five of a kind 200 to 1 Straight Flush 300 to 1 Royal flush 500 to 1
5. The method of claim 1, wherein players can only place $1.00 on the bonus circle to bet the bonus above, the method of claim 1. The bonus only good for the initiate five card out of 7 cards that were drawn for the hand. Players can still win the bonus after they surrender their hand.
6. The method of claim 1, wherein players can request to replace two cards at the most with half of their original bet for each card.
7. The method of claim 1, wherein players are dealt 7 cards face down initially. After player view the hand, he/she can surrender the hand and get half of the ante back.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein the game is dealt clockwise. The exchange process is also followed the clockwise. Players who want to exchange the cards should place the discard card face down with half of the original bet on the additional betting area said the Fish. Dealer then deals one card to the player. Then, dealer has to go to next player. After every player has the first exchange card or pass, the player who want to improve his/her hand again can place the second discard card face down with half of the original bet on the Fish and get the second exchange card.
9. The method of claim 1, wherein players can choose not to exchange any card on the first round of buying process (skip the first buying process). Players then buy a card on the second buying process.
10. The method of claim 1, wherein players have to set up their own hand. On the final determination, players have to choose the best five card and leave them on the final five card area said Fishermen.
11. The method of claim 1, wherein dealer has to take the buying wager and discard cards before turn over the dealer's hand.
12. The method of claim 1, wherein dealer cannot get any substitute cards. Dealer has to use the best five cards out of the seven cards to set up the hand.
13. The method of claim 3, wherein four decks Fishermen Poker is not a house-bank game. It is a player against player poker game.
14. The method of claim 3, wherein layers get dealt 7 cards initially. They have to use the best five cards compete to each other to win the pot.
15. The method of claim 3, wherein each player participating in the game makes a minimum wager. Then, dealer deal the initial 7 cards to each player. If players do not like the hand, the players can discard seven cards they don't like one at a time. The player can get seven replacement cards to improve their hand by placing the cards (one at a time) they don't like with additional wager on the exchange area, which is the Fish. This replacement processing is taking in a rotation manner that each player takes a turn to exchange the card from the dealer.
16. The method of claim 3, wherein the first discard card should be place on the Fish (exchange area) with $1.00.
17. The method of claim 3, wherein the second discard card should be place on the Fish (exchange area) with $2.00.
18. The method of claim 3, wherein the third discard card should be place on the Fish (exchange area) with $3.00.
19. The method of claim 3, wherein the fourth discard card should be place on the Fish (exchange area) with $4.00.
20. The method of claim 3, wherein the fifth discard card should be place on the Fish (exchange area) with $5.00.
21. The method of claim 3, wherein the six discard card should be place on the Fish (exchange area) with $6.00.
22. The method of claim 3, wherein the seven discard card should be place on the Fish (exchange area) with $7.00.
23. The method of claim 3, wherein dealer deals the replacement cards one at a time following the clockwise. Every player should have a chance to decide whether he/she wants to buy the replacement card or not in every round of buying process.
24. The method of claim 3, wherein there is no surrender, no raise, no re-raise, no check, no fold and all-in strategy using in Four Decks Fishermen Poker.
25. The method of claim 3, wherein player can skip the first buying replacement card processing, and buying a replacement card on the second round with $2.00 or buying a replacement card on the third round with $3.00 and so on.
