Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a cosmetic container, and more particularly to a cosmetic container having a structure for being easily manufactured.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • Various kinds of typical cosmetic containers have been developed and provided for containing various cosmetic materials, such as lipstick materials, perfumes, medicaments, toothpastes, oil colors, or other cosmetic materials, and normally comprise a base housing for receiving the cosmetic materials, and a cover attached onto the base housing, for enclosing the base housing, for shielding the cosmetic materials.
  • For example, U.S. Pat. No. 2,201,467 to Bloom discloses one of the lipstick applicators comprising a base sleeve for carrying and receiving the lipstick materials, and a cover sleeve attached onto or slipped over the base sleeve, for enclosing the base sleeve, for shielding the lipstick materials.
  • U.S. Design No. 364,669 to Winner discloses a personal protection spray dispenser also comprising a base housing for receiving spraying materials, and a cover attached onto the base housing, for enclosing the base housing, for shielding the spraying materials.
  • U.S. Design No. 403,123 to Sgariboldi disclose a container for perfumes and other toiletries also comprising a base sleeve for carrying and receiving perfumes, and a cover sleeve attached onto or slipped over the base sleeve, for enclosing the base sleeve, for shielding the perfumes. The base sleeve and the cover sleeve may have various patterns applied onto the outer peripheral surface thereof.
  • However, the base sleeves or base housings and the cover sleeves or the covers are normally made of molding processes or forging processes, and thus expensive mold facilities are required for manufacturing the cosmetic containers.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 6,637,964 to Kuo discloses a typical lipstick case made of paper and comprising a cap member and a tubular body that may be attached with a pattern piece thereto, and a cover plate engageable to or secured to the cap member. However, the cover plate may not be easily and solidly secured to the cap member.
  • The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages of the conventional cosmetic containers.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic container including a structure for being easily manufactured.
  • In accordance with one aspect of the invention, there is provided a cosmetic container comprising a base housing for receiving cosmetic materials, and including a pattern provided on an outer peripheral surface thereof, the base housing including a narrowed sleeve extended upwardly therefrom, to form an outer peripheral shoulder therein, and a cover attached onto the base housing, for enclosing the base housing, and for shielding and protecting the cosmetic materials, the cover including a pattern provided on an outer peripheral surface thereof, the cover being engaged onto the sleeve and engaged with the outer peripheral shoulder of the base housing, to allow the outer peripheral surface of the cover to be flush with the outer peripheral surface of the base housing. The cover includes a bore formed therein for receiving the sleeve of the base housing, and includes an upper end having a curled flange formed therein, and includes a panel engaged and fitted into the bore thereof, and engaged with the curled flange, to form the cover.
  • The patterns of the cover and the base housing are provided on a releasing membrane and transferred onto the cover and the base housing by attaching the releasing membrane onto the cover and the base housing.
  • Further objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from a careful reading of the detailed description provided hereinbelow, with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a cosmetic container in accordance with the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is a partial exploded view of the cosmetic container;
  • FIG. 3 is another partial exploded view of the cosmetic container; and
  • FIGS. 4, 5, 6 are perspective views illustrating the formation or manufacturing of the cosmetic container.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to the drawings, and initially to FIGS. 1-3, a cosmetic container in accordance with the present invention comprises a base housing 10 for receiving cosmetic materials, such as lipstick materials, perfumes, medicaments, toothpastes, oil colors, or other cosmetic materials, and a cover 20 attached onto the base housing 10, for enclosing the base housing 10, for shielding and protecting the cosmetic materials.
  • The base housing 10 and the cover 20 each may include a mark or a pattern 11, 21 painted or printed or provided on an outer peripheral surface thereof. The base housing 10 includes a diameter reduced or narrowed sleeve 12 extended upwardly therefrom, to form an outer peripheral shoulder 13 therein. The cover 20 may then be engaged onto the sleeve 12 and engaged with the outer peripheral shoulder 13 of the base housing 10, to allow the cover 20 to have an outer peripheral surface flush with the outer peripheral surface of the base housing 10.
  • The cover 20 includes a bore 22 formed therein for receiving the sleeve 12 of the base housing 10, and includes one end or upper end 23 having a curled flange 24 bent or curled or extended radially into the bore 22 thereof. For example, as shown in FIGS. 4-6, the cover 20 may first be painted or printed or applied the mark or pattern 21 on an outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical casing. The one end or upper end 23 of the cover 20 is then formed with the curled flange 24 by such as typical curling machines or typical rollers or other machines.
  • As shown in FIG. 3, the cover 20 further includes a panel 25 engaged or fitted into the bore 22 thereof, and engaged with the curled flange 24 (FIGS. 1, 2), to form or to complete the cover 20. It is to be noted that the typical curling machines is available easily, and the cover 20 may be easily manufactured or formed without expensive mold facilities.
  • The mark or pattern 11, 21 may be painted or printed or applied onto the outer peripheral surface of the base housing 10 and the cover 20 by attaching a releasing film or membrane (not shown), such as an orientation polypropylene membrane, onto the outer peripheral surfaces of the cylindrical casings that are provided for forming the base housing 10 and the cover 20 respectively. For example, the releasing film or membrane may have the mark or pattern 11, 21 provided or applied thereon, and then have the mark or pattern 11, 21 transferred onto the outer peripheral surfaces of the cylindrical casings by attaching the releasing film or membrane onto the outer peripheral surfaces of the cylindrical casings.
  • Accordingly, the cosmetic container in accordance with the present invention includes a structure for being easily manufactured.
  • Although this invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is to be understood that the present disclosure has been made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detailed construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
