Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a candle holder, and more particularly to an LED (light emitting diode) candle holder.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • A conventional candle holder comprises a container for holding and receiving a wax material to function as a candle. However, the candle holder only has a single function, thereby decreasing the versatility of the candle holder. In addition, after the wax material is burned, the appearance of the candle holder is broken by the burned wax material, thereby decreasing the aesthetic quality of the candle holder. Further, the burned wax material cannot be replenished, so that the candle holder cannot be used during a long period of time.

  • FIG. 6 is a circuit diagram of a candle holder in accordance with another preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-3, a candle holder in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a decorative candle 10, and a photo-audio control device 20 mounted in the decorative candle 10.
  • The decorative candle 10 is a translucent body made of wax material. The decorative candle 10 has a recessed top face provided with a glass support dish 11 to support a candle 30 (see FIG. 4) or a simulation candle 40 (see FIG. 5) and a bottom face formed with a receiving chamber 12 to receive the photo-audio control device 20. The receiving chamber 12 of the decorative candle 10 has a periphery formed with a locking groove 13.
  • The photo-audio control device 20 is hidden in the receiving chamber 12 of the decorative candle 10 and includes a base 21 secured in the receiving chamber 12 of the decorative candle 10, a control circuit 25 mounted on the base 21, a battery box 22 mounted on the base 21 to receive a battery 220 (see FIG. 3) to supply an electric power to the control circuit 25, a power switch 23 mounted on the base 21 to control the battery 220 to supply the electric power to the control circuit 25, and a transparent socket 24 mounted on the base 21 and inserted into the receiving chamber 12 of the decorative candle 10.
  • The control circuit 25 of the photo-audio control device 20 includes at least one circuit board 251 mounted on a top face of the battery box 22, a horn 252 mounted on and connected to the circuit board 251, and a plurality of light emitting diodes (LED) 253 mounted on the socket 24 and connected to the circuit board 251. Preferably, the control circuit 25 includes two circuit boards 251.
  • The base 21 of the photo-audio control device 20 is a circular body and is secured in the locking groove 13 of the receiving chamber 12 of the decorative candle 10. The base 21 of the photo-audio control device 20 has a periphery formed with a plurality of locking holes 211, and the photo-audio control device 20 includes a plurality of locking screws 212 each extended through a respective one of the locking holes 211 of the base 21 and screwed into the bottom face of the decorative candle 10 to fix the base 21 on the decorative candle 10.
  • As shown in FIG. 4, the candle 30 is received in the support dish 11 of the decorative candle 10. Then, the power switch 23 of the photo-audio control device 20 is turned on to connect the battery 220 of the battery box 22 to the control circuit 25, so that the light emitting diodes 253 of the control circuit 25 are controlled by the circuit board 251 to emit light outward from the socket 24 and the decorative candle 10, thereby providing an optical effect to the candle 30. At the same time, the horn 252 of the control circuit 25 is controlled by the circuit board 251 to emit sound, thereby providing an audio amusement effect.
  • As shown in FIG. 5, the simulation candle 40 is received in the support dish 11 of the decorative candle 10.
