Abstract
A safety switch of a toolbox comprises a box body having a first positioning portion; an outer cover; a buckle having a first positioning unit and an resisting end at an upper side of the buckle; a gap being formed between the outer cover and the box body when the outer cover is closed upon the box body; the first positioning unit being capable of buckling the first positioning portion of the box body. When the outer cover is closed upon the box body, the resisting end protrudes out of the gap so as to buckle the outer cover. The buckle has a slender neck portion. The outer cover has a notch or the size of the outer cover is smaller than that of the box body so that the resisting end can protrude out from the notch.
Description
- The present invention relates to toolboxes, and in particular to a safety switch of a toolbox, wherein a buckle is used to buckle the outer cover and box body for burglar proof. As the toolbox is used firstly, the buckle can be cut from a neck portion. Thereby the toolbox can be used normally.
- In the prior art toolbox for display, no special design for tying the toolbox is provided. Thus, people often ties the toolbox by ropes before selling. When the buyers buy the toolbox, the rope is interrupted for opening the outer cover of the toolbox. However, tying the toolbox by ropes provides a bad outlook to the toolbox and the operation is tedious and inconvenient.
- In one improvement design, two sides at the opening sides of a toolbox are formed with recesses, respectively for buckling buckles. Each buckle is formed with a hole. A lock is provided. Each lock is installed with a hooking hole. A front end of the lock has two hooks. Each hook has a hooking portion which can hook the box so that the lock is firmly secured upon the toolbox. Thereby the box cannot be opened so as to have the effect of burglar proof. However, the prior art structure has hooks protruded from two sides of the toolbox. It will interfere the arrangement of the toolbox and makes an unbeautiful outlook. Moreover the use of the hooks are inconvenient. As a result the effect of burglar effect is reduced. As a whole, it is not practical and necessary to be improved.
- Accordingly, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a safety switch of a toolbox, wherein a buckle is used to buckle the outer cover and box body for burglar proof. As the toolbox is used firstly, the buckle can be cut from a neck portion. Thereby the toolbox can be used normally.
- To achieve above objects, the present invention provides a safety switch of a toolbox which comprises a box body having a first positioning portion; an outer cover; a buckle having a first positioning unit and an resisting end at an upper side of the buckle; a gap being formed between the outer cover and the box body when the outer cover is closed upon the box body; the first positioning unit being capable of buckling the first positioning portion of the box body. When the outer cover is closed upon the box body, the resisting end protruding out of the gap so as to buckle the outer cover. The buckle has a slender neck portion. The outer cover has a notch or the size of the outer cover is smaller than that of the box body so that the resisting end can protrude out from the notch.
- The various objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the appended drawing.

However, these descriptions and the appended drawings are only used to cause those skilled in the art to understand the objects, features, and characteristics of the present invention, but not to be used to confine the scope and spirit of the present invention defined in the appended claims.
- Referring to
FIG. 1 , the safety switch of a box body of the present invention is illustrated. The safety switch of the present invention has the following elements. - A
box body 1 has areceiving space 10 for receiving various hand tools 2 (such as replaceable opener heads, knives, sockets, etc.). Afirst positioning portion 12 is formed at one lateral wall of thereceiving space 10 of thebox body 1. Asecond positioning portion 13 is formed at a bottom of thereceiving space 10. Thereceiving space 10 is installed with afirst buckling unit 111. - An openable
outer cover 11 is included. Theouter cover 11 may be a transparent structure. Theouter cover 11 has asecond buckle 111 for buckling to thefirst buckling unit 111 of thebox body 1. When theouter cover 11 closes, thehand tools 2 are sealed into thereceiving space 10 of thebox body 1. Above mentioned structure is known in the prior art and the thus the details will not be further described. Anotch 112 is formed at one side of theouter cover 11. - The
buckle 3 has a plate-like structure. An upper end of thebuckle 3 is protruded with a resistingend 31. An upper side of the resistingend 31 is an inclined surface and a bottom thereof is a plane. The resistingend 31 is corresponding to thenotch 112 of thetool body 1. The resistingend 31 can protrude out of thenotch 112 to buckle theouter cover 11 so that theouter cover 11 cannot be opened. A lateral side of the resistingend 31 is protruded with afirst positioning unit 32. Thefirst positioning unit 32 can insert into thefirst positioning portion 12. A lower side of the resistingend 31 is formed with asecond positioning unit 33. Thesecond positioning unit 33 can insert into thesecond positioning portion 13 so as to firmly secure theouter cover 11 to thetool body 1. In the present invention, thesecond positioning unit 33 and thesecond positioning portion 13 can be neglected. The resistingend 31 has a slender neck portion. - When the
first positioning unit 32 andsecond positioning unit 33 are inserted into thefirst positioning portion 12 andsecond positioning portion 13, thetool body 1 inserts into thenotch 112 of theouter cover 11 so as to buckle theouter cover 11, seeFIG. 2 . - In use of the present invention, referring to
FIGS. 3 and 8 , it is illustrated that thefirst positioning unit 32 andsecond positioning unit 33 are inserted into thefirst positioning portion 12 andsecond positioning portion 13. Thetool body 1 inserts into thenotch 112 of theouter cover 11 so as to buckle theouter cover 11. Thereby the present invention provides an effect of burglar-proof. An upper side of the resistingend 31 is formed as an inclined surface. Thereby it easily protrudes out of thenotch 112 of theouter cover 11. When it is desired to close theouter cover 11, seeFIGS. 6, 7 (FIG. 6 is a cross sectional view along line A-B ofFIG. 3 ). A force is used to press theouter cover 11 so that the resistingend 31 protrudes out of thenotch 112. A bottom of the resistingend 31 is a plane. Thereby when the resistingend 31 protrudes out of thenotch 112, it can buckle theouter cover 11 firmly. - Referring to
FIG. 5 ,FIG. 5 is a cross sectional view along line C-D ofFIG. 3 . Thebuckle 3 can buckle to thefirst positioning portion 12 of the receivingspace 10 of thetool body 1.FIG. 8 shows that theouter cover 11 is firmly secured to thetool body 1. - Referring to
FIGS. 9 and 10 , after the user buys the toolbox of the present invention, when the user desires to open theouter cover 11, a part of the resistingend 31 protrudes out of thenotch 112 of theouter cover 11 is cut from the neck portion. Then theouter cover 11 can be opened. Then thebuckle 3 is taken down. Then theouter cover 11 can be fixed to thebox body 1 by buckling the first bucklingunit 111 of thebox body 1 to the second bucklingunit 111 of theouter cover 11. It is only necessary to press the bucklingunit 111 to make the first bucklingunit 111 separate from the second bucklingunit 111 so that theouter cover 11 separates from thebox body 1. Thereby the too box of the present invention has the function of general toolbox. - In one embodiment of the present invention, the size of the
outer cover 11 is slightly smaller than an opening of thebox body 1 so that a small gap is formed therebetween. Thereby the resistingend 31 can protrude out of thebox body 1 from the gap. Thus, nonotch 112 is necessary to be formed on theouter cover 11. The resistingend 31 of thebuckle 3 can still buckle theouter cover 11. - The present invention is thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
