Description

  • The present invention relates to a bottom of wall unit compartment plinth. This special unit compartment is a support of electric fixing and connections and as well as a support for incorporation, dissimulation and arrangement of other cables and drains.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Various other devices forming this plinth of bottom of wall are well known. The principal disadvantage of these devices is that they badly take into account the coordination of work and the specialization of the tasks which is today the rule in construction. Indeed, on building sites, the difficulty is to coordinate the successive tasks of the various specialists: wall construction, floor covering, heating, electrics, painting, decorating, maintenance . . . . Each specialist having to intervene quickly, effectively without damaging the work of the preceding specialist, and especially independently of the realization of the other specialists work. The building process should not be slowed down because a specialist cannot carry out his work, because of delays of delivery of another specialist.
  • No other device of the former art answers these problems in proposing a bottom of wall unit compartment which makes it possible for each specialist to intervene on the plinth and to carry out his work independently of the level of realization of the other specialists. The principal object of the invention is to propose a bottom of wall unit compartment which is practical, functional and which makes it possible for each specialist to work quickly whatever the degree of others specialists' advance.
  • An object of the invention is to propose a bottom of wall unit compartment plinth which gives the user a great flexibility in the later evolutionary installation of the building. The user has with the invention the possibility to easily position electric connections and cables. This solution thus allows the modification of the position of heating, light and heavy electric equipment. The user is now able to modify in-house installation. The user is able to position electric, gas and water connections exactly at the new desired location at the base of the wall.
  • The inventions aim is to gather in the same bottom of wall unit compartment the whole range of electric cables, high and low tension current, fluid and air pipes while placing each type in a specific insulated compartment.
  • The invention aims to be manufactured in a simple and economic way. The whole bottom of wall unit compartment is made up starting from simple unit elements, all carried out on the basis of profiles. Profiles being manufactured for example out of metal matter, matter which has the advantage of being flexible, solid, resistant and which meets the actual standards of insulation. Each profile meets the quality standards of building manufacture. Profiles can be cut out in the factory or on the building site to adapt the lengths to the walls. Each profile is regularly equipped with binding, joining or pre-cut cables passages devices.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In a principal aspect, the invention comprises a chest profile, a lid profile, and a bottom of plinth profile. The function of the chest profile is to contain the various cables; it can be equipped with separation and arrangement profiles aiming to place each category of cables independently. The function of the lid profile is initially to mask the cables after delivery of work and then to allow the end user to easily and quickly reach the cables. The function of the bottom of plinth profile is first to make junction with the floor covering, whatever the relative height of the floor, and secondly to give to the whole plinth a harmonious aspect.
  • In an aspect the invention also comprises a wall coffering construction profile. The function of this profile is to fit to the bottom shape of the wall just after its construction or renovation. This profile offers to the other profiles a surface for fixing and fitment which is constant and independent of the carcass work heavy castings quality.
  • In an aspect, the invention comprises an insulation which isolates upwards the whole bottom of wall unit compartment and thus meets the actual quality standards, also guaranteeing an electric insulation with the separation of low and high tension current in order to even minimize or to cancel any risk on safety or on the signal integrity.
  • In an aspect, the invention also comprises consolidation profiles whose function is to make the unit solid answering on the one hand to the constraints and in particular transverse plug lifting and on the other hand to the arrangement of a series of electric cables and fluids pipes by supporting the efforts of load of the weight of the cables.
  • In an aspect the invention allows an aesthetic presentation of fixations of power supply or access to fluids, air and water. These become invisible to a user in standing position. They are positioned on an easily accessible inclined level, visible by bending down. The bottom of plinth profile being encased cunningly with the chest profile in order to adapt to any height of floor covering, whatever the thickness and the quality of the floor covering: tiling, fitted carpet, parquet or other. This bottom of plinth profile is of an aesthetic aspect. It allows the end-user to change his floor covering without any concern to adapt the plinths and without any preoccupation for the floor edges finishes, since this bottom of plinth profile is conceived to mask the wall/floor covering connection.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The FIG. 1 a represents a side view of the bottom of wall unit compartment plinth (1, 3, 5, 6) assembled with its various elements profiles on top of the ground (S) and in a reservation of bottom of wall (M, Mc) which adopts a parallelepipedic oblong general form. The format of this reservation being in a current form of 320 mm out of 80 mm. This reservation (M, Mc) carried out in the foot of the wall (M) is carried out by the wall construction specialist. Within this reservation (M, Mc) comes a wall construction profile (1), also represented in prospect of FIG. 2, which marries the reservation of bottom of wall (M, Mc). This wall construction profile (1) functions first to encase the reservation of plinth (M, Mc) and then to offer a constant work surface to all the other specialists, independent of wall construction work. The wall construction profile (1) presents the general shape of a C, with three plates, a ground plate (11) which is placed on the ground (S) and whose length is less than the width of the reservation (M, Mc). This ground plate (11) being equipped with drilling of reservation (16) for fixing to the ground (S) by means of screws, bolts or others. On the ground plate (11) will be then placed the floor covering (R) which can be a parquet floor, a fitted carpet or tiling. The wall construction profile (1) presents along its height a wall plate (12) presenting a tangent face to the wall (M) and an open face towards the interior of the habitat on which are evenly laid out of the devices of profile hangs (17) of the chest profile (3) and of the hanging devices (14), FIG. 3.
