Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a cabinet, and more particularly to a multiple function cabinet that particularly has an extendable table and other accessories integrated therein.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- A conventional cabinet only has a single extension structure that can not provide a writing space once a laptop is mounted on the extension structure. Therefore, the conventional cabinet is inconvenient in use.
- To overcome the drawbacks of the conventional cabinet an improved cabinet is provided to eliminate the drawbacks.
- A main objective of the present invention is to provide a cabinet that has a duplex extension table adapted to provide a locating place for laptop and a writing place for taking notes, wherein the duplex extension table can be retracted into the cabinet to make the space usage flexible.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a cabinet that integrates accessories therein to have more facility in use.
- To achieve the foregoing objectives, the cabinet comprises:
- a hollow body with an open front and multiple compartments;
- a sliding door covering at least one part of the open front;
- multiple drawers respectively received in the multiple compartments;
- wherein, improvement of the cabinet comprises:
- a duplex extension table slidably received inside one of the multiple compartments and comprising a primary board and a secondary board retractable combined with each other.
- By having the duplex extension table, the cabinet has two individual spaces for coordinate uses.
- Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a front view of a cabinet in accordance with the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the cabinet inFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of the cabinet inFIG. 2 ; -
FIG. 4 is an operational perspective view of the cabinet, wherein a duplex extension table is completely extended; -
FIG. 5 is another operational perspective view of the cabinet from orientation to show other accessories embedded inside the cabinet; -
FIG. 6 is an enlarged cross-sectional side view of a track assembly along line A-A inFIG. 3 ; and -
FIG. 7 is an enlarged cross-sectional side view of a track assembly along line B-B inFIG. 4 . - A cabinet in accordance with the present invention comprises a hollow body with an open front, multiple compartments defined within the body, multiple drawers and a duplex extension table received inside the compartment, and multiple optional accessories integrated with the body. Wherein, the duplex extension table is retractable received inside the body via the open front and composed of a primary board and a secondary board retractably combined with each other so as to provide two sectional spaces respectively for laptop and note or documents during working. Moreover, the accessories attached to the body selectively include wheel devices, a socket, a wire-reeling disk and at least one storing container to facilitate the cabinet.
- With reference to
FIGS. 1 to 3 , a preferred embodiment of the cabinet comprises a hollow body, multiple drawers, a duplex extension table and optional accessories. - The hollow body is a parallelepiped composed of a top board 1, two
side boards 2, abottom board 3 and further has fourwheel devices 4 attached to thebottom board 3 outside the body to make the cabinet move easily and to lift the body from the ground. Eachside board 2 has ahook 21 at its top end for suspension. Multiple compartments are defined inside the body and sequentially arranged with a slidingdoor 5, the duplex extension table 6 and threedrawers socket assembly 10 is attached to a front face of thebottom board 3 and a wire-reeling disk 11 (seeFIG. 5 ) is embedded inside thebottom board 3 for convenient electricity supply. Moreover, a storingcontainer 12 is slidably mounted under thebottom board 2 to keep necessary wires or converters etc. when thewheel devices 4 are secured under the cabinet. - As shown in
FIG. 2 , the slidingdoor 5 is lifted up and pushed into the body to abut the top board 1 to open an upper portion of the cabinet. On the contrary, the slidingdoor 5 is pulled out of the body and lowered down to close the upper portion of the cabinet again. Twogrooves 22 are respectively defined on outer faces of the twoside boards 2 near thehooks 21 for conveniently driving the cabinet. - As shown in
FIG. 3 , after lifting the slidingdoor 5, aprimary board 6 in the duplex extension table 6 is revealed. - The
storing container 12 attached to thebottom board 3 is composed of abox 121, tworails 122, andmultiple screws 123 andcorresponding nuts 124. The tworails 121 are U-shaped and secured to thebottom board 3 with their openings facing each other by thescrews 123 andnuts 124. Thebox 121 has twowings 1211 respectively engage the tworails 122 to make the box slide along therails 122 for retracting operation. Moreover, a handle (not shown) or anaccess hole 1212 is defined in a front face of thebox 121 for a user to hold thebox 121 to pull or push easily. - As shown in
FIG. 4 , the duplex extension table 6 is located at a middle of the cabinet and composed of theprimary board 61 and thesecondary board 62. Theprimary board 61 is a solid plate and has twoball tracks 611 attached to its two sides abutting theside boards 2 of the body. Correspondingly, twoball rails 612 are respectively attached to inner faces of the twoside boards 2 to match with theball tracks 611 so that theprimary board 61 enables to slide inward or outward the body (seeFIG. 6 ). Thesecondary board 62 is also a solid plate smaller than the one of theprimary board 61 and also has twoball rails 621 attached to two sides abutting twoball tracks 622 that are respectively and oppositely mounted on twosidewalls 623 attached under the primary board 61 (as shown inFIG. 7 ). Therefore, thesecondary board 62 can be retracted to overlap and accommodated inside the body with theprimary board 61. Preferably, the movement direction of thesecondary board 62 to theprimary board 61 is perpendicular to the one of theprimary board 61 to the body. Additionally, the ball rails and the ball tracks can be substituted by other rail assemblies in modification. - When the duplex extension table operates, the sliding
door 5 is open to allow theprimary board 61 being pulled out. Then, thesecondary board 62 is further extended from theprimary board 61. If the user does not need many spaces for working, thesecondary board 62 can be kept under theprimary board 61. - As shown in
FIG. 5 , thesocket assembly 10 attached to the front face of thebottom board 3 has a switch and multiple sockets for plugs. The storingcontainer 12 is slidably attached under thebottom board 3 by means of the twotrails 122. The wire-reelingdisk 11 is attached within the body over thebottom board 3 near a rear corner and contains a wire (not numbered) retractably accommodated inside the wire-reelingdisk 11 and extending out via the hole on theadjacent side board 2. In preferred operation, the wire connects between the socket on the wall and thesocket assembly 10 on the bottom board to provide a convenient electricity supply. - By having the duplex extension table 6, the cabinet has two individual spaces for coordinate uses, for example, laptop operation and note writing at the same time. The accessories attached to the box provide more operational facility to the cabinet.
- Although this invention has been described in its preferred form with a certain degree of particularity, it is understood that the present invention of the preferred form has been made only by way of example and that numerous changes in the details of construction and the combination and arrangement of parts any be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
