Abstract
A footpad includes an anti-slip pad and a fixing member. The anti-slip pad provides an inner recess. The fixing member has a base corresponding to the inner groove, extending outward a plurality of holding pawls from a lateral side of the base and the holding pawls are disposed at the circumference edge of the lateral side equidistantly in a way of spacing apart a gap from each other. The fixing member is capable of being inserted into the inner recess and the holding pawls are capable of engaging with the base of a product such as the telephone set, the stationery or the office article easily without loosening to perform the function of resisting slip.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a footpad, and, more particularly, to a footpad, which provides holding pawls to engage with a base of the telephone set, the stationery or the office article easily firmly for resisting slip.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- Currently, the 3C products, which include the computer product such as the keyboard, the printer and etc., the communication product such as the telephone set, and the consumer product, various stationeries and the office articles usually provide footpads at the bases thereof for increasing anti-slip. But, the conventional footpads are mostly adhered to the preceding products and they easily move away due to friction to the contact surface.
- Referring to
FIGS. 1 to 3 , theconventional footpad 1 includes ananti-slip pad 11 and a detachableprotective paper 2. Theanti-slip pad 11 is coated with a layer ofadhesive glue 12 at a lateral side thereof. The detachableprotective paper 2 is easily peered off theanti-slip pad 11 to expose theadhesive glue 12 such that theadhesive glue 12 can adhere to thebase 21′ of telephone set 2′. However, theadhesive glue 12 is apt to become deteriorated and losses its adherence after a period of time. As a result, theanti-slip pad 11 is easy to move away and it is incapable of performing the task of slip resistance. Further, it is inconvenient that the detachableprotective paper 2 has to be made to cover theadhesive glue 12 during fabricating thefootpad 1 and has to be torn off before thefootpad 1 is in use. - The main object of the present invention is to provide a footpad in which a recess of the anti-slip pad is joined to a fixing member and a plurality of holding pawls extend outward from the fixing member such that it is assembled easily and no adhesive glue is required.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a footpad with a rough surface in different sizes and in different shapes for enhancing function of slip resistance.
- To achieve the objects, a footpad according to the present invention comprises an anti-slip pad and a fixing member. The anti-slip pad provides an inner recess. The fixing member has a base corresponding to the inner groove extending outward a plurality of holding pawls from a lateral side of the base and the holding pawls being disposed on the circumference edge of said lateral side equidistantly in a way of spacing apart a gap from each other. The fixing member is capable of being inserted into the inner recess and the holding pawls are capable of engaging with the base of a product such as the telephone set, the stationery or the office article easily without loosening to perform the function of resisting slip.

FIG. 7 is a perspective view illustrating the footpad of the present invention being attached to the bottom of the telephone set; and -
FIG. 8 is a perspective view illustrating the footpad of the present invention with a different shape. - Referring to
FIGS. 4 to 7 , afootpad 3 in accordance with the present invention comprises ananti-slip pad 31 and afixing member 32. Theanti-slip pad 31 is circular with an open side and a closed side and provides an innercircumferential recess 311. The closed side of theanti-slip pad 31 has a roughouter surface 312. Thefixing member 32 provides acircular base 321 corresponding to the innercircumferential recess 311 of theanti-slip pad 31 such that thecircular base 321 is placed in the innercircumferential recess 311. Thefixing member 32 further provides a plurality ofholding pawls 322 extending outward from a lateral side of thecircular base 321 and are disposed on the circumference edge of the lateral side equidistantly in a way of spacing apart agap 323 from each other. Each of theholding pawls 322 has an inverted-hook-shaped holding end 3221 with a truncated tip, which has a horizontal side and a vertical side. - In practice, the
holding pawls 322 of thefootpad 3 are capable of inserting into areceiving space 211 of abase 21 of a product such as the telephone set, the stationery or the office article for therespective holding end 3221 exactly engaging agroove 212 in thereceiving space 211 without loosening. - In addition, the
footpad 3 of the invention can be made in different sizes and shapes to meet a variety of demands.FIG. 8 shows a large size ellipse shapedfootpad 3 instead of circularshaped footpad 3 shown inFIG. 7 for increasing friction. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
Claims (5)
1. A footpad comprising:
an anti-slip pad having an open side and a closed and providing an inner recess; and
a fixing member having a base corresponding to said inner groove, extending outward a plurality of holding pawls from a lateral side of said base and said holding pawls being disposed on the circumference edge of said lateral side equidistantly in a way of spacing apart a gap from each other.
2. The footpad as defined in claim 1 , wherein each of said holding pawls have a respective holding end projecting outward horizontally.
3. The footpad as defined in claim 2 , wherein said holding end has an inverted-hook shape with a truncated tip, which has a horizontal side and a vertical side.
4. The footpad as defined in claim 1 , wherein said anti-slip pad is made of soft plastics.
5. The footpad as defined in claim 4 , wherein said closed end has a rough surface for resisting slip.
