Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a foldable exercising-working device, and more particularly, to a device combining exercising and working features together.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The conventional exercising device such as the treadmill as disclosed in FIG. 8 generally comprises a base 90 with two support tubes 91 extending from two sides of the base 90. A work board 92 is connected between the two respective tops of the two support tubes 91. A treadmill endless belt 93 is connected between the two support tubes 81 and located below the work board 92. The users can work on the work board 92 while exercise on the treadmill endless belt 93.
  • However, the disclosed device does not have proper folding mechanism so that the base 90 and the treadmill endless belt 93 are stored separately when not in use, and this requires more space to store the two separated parts. The present invention intends to provide a foldable exercising-working device which can be folded to be a smaller combination so as to save the space for storage.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a foldable exercising-working device and comprises a frame having a base with two support tubes extending from the base. The base is stably put on the ground and two connection portions are respectively connected to the two support tubes. A work board is pivotably connected to the connection portions by its underside so that the work board is pivotable relative to the connection portions. An exercising unit has a first end located below the work board and a second end of the exercising unit is put on the ground. A movable unit is movable on the exercising unit.
  • The primary object of the present invention is to provide a foldable exercising-working device, wherein the work board is pivotable so as to save the space required to store the device.
  • The primary object of the present invention is to provide a foldable exercising-working device, wherein the exercising unit is pivoted so as to be easily stored.
  • The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view to show the foldable exercising-working device of the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is an exploded view to show the support frame at the underside of the work board and the connection portions of the support tubes;
  • FIG. 3 is a side view to show the support frame at the underside of the work board connected to the connection portions of the support tubes;
  • FIG. 4 shows that the exercising unit is pivotably connected to the frame of the present invention;
  • FIG. 5 shows that the work board is pivoted relative to the connection portions of the present invention;
  • FIG. 6 shows that the work board is pivoted to upright position;
  • FIG. 7 shows that the exercising unit is pivoted relative to the frame, and
  • FIG. 8 shows the conventional treadmill.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 to 7, the foldable exercising-working device of the present invention comprises a frame 1, a work board 2 and an exercising unit 3.
  • The frame 1 comprises a base 10 which has two support tubes 11 extending from two sides of the base 10. The base 10 is stably put on the ground. Two connection portions 12 are respectively connected to the two support tubes 11.
  • In this embodiment, each of the connection portions 12 has two connection plates 120 parallel to each other and a bottom plate is connected between the two connection plates 120. Each connection plate 120 has multiple holes 121 defined therethrough and a notch 122 is defined in each of two ends of the bottom plate.
  • The work board 2 has a support frame 20 connected to the underside thereof and the two sides of the support frame 20 are respectively and pivotably connected to the connection portions 12, such that the work board 2 can be pivoted to a horizontal position and an upright position. In this embodiment, the support frame 20 is pivotably connected to the connection portions 12 by two pins.
  • In this embodiment, the support frame 20 has two through holes 200 defined in each end sections thereof and the two end sections of the support frame 20 are respectively connected between the two connection plates 120 of the two connection portions 12. A first pin 21 and a second pin 22 extend through the holes 121 in connection plates 120 of each of the connection portions 12 and the through holes 200 of each of the two end sections of the support frame 20. By the first and second pins 21, 22, both of which are use d as first positioning members, the work board 2 is positioned at the horizontal position as shown in FIG. 3. When either of the first and second pins 21, 22 is pulled out from one of the through holes 200 of the end sections and one of the holes 121 of the connection plates 120, the other one of the first and second pins 21, 22 is the pivot about which the work board 2 is pivoted to the upright position as shown in FIG. 5. In FIG. 5, the first pins 21 are pulled out and the work board 2 is pivoted about the second pins 22, and the end sections of the work board 2 is engaged with the notch 122 of the connection portions 12 to allow the work board 2 to be pivoted to the upright position.
  • The support tubes 11 each have an outer tube 110 and an inner tube 111 which is movably inserted into the outer tube 110. The inner tube 111 is positioned relative to the outer tube 110 by a second positioning member 112 which extends through the outer tube 110 and positions the inner tube 111. A stop 113 is connected to the inner tube 111 and protrudes from one side of the inner tube 111 so that when the inner tube 111 is inserted into the outer tube 110, the stop 113 prevents the inner tube 111 from completely inserted into the outer tube 110.
  • The exercising unit 3 is located below the work board 2 and a movable unit 30 is movable on the exercising unit 3. In this embodiment, the exercising unit 3 is a treadmill endless belt. The exercising unit 3 has two pivots 31 on two sides thereof so as to be pivotably connected to the frame 1. The exercising unit 3 has the first end located below the work board 2 and the second end of the exercising unit 3 is put on the ground. A support member 32 is connected between the frame 1 and the exercising unit 3 as shown in FIG. 5. In this embodiment, the support member 32 is a hydraulic cylinder.
  • The exercising unit 3 is pivotable about the pivots 31 relative to the frame 1 and the support member 32 position the exercising unit 3 at the angular position which saves the space when the device is stored. The work board 2 can be pivoted relative to the support tubes 11 from the horizontal position to the upright position, and the exercising unit 3 can be pivoted upward by the support member 32 such that the space for storing the device is minimized.
  • While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
