Abstract
A foldable exercising-working device includes a frame having a base with two support tubes extending from the base. A work board has its underside pivotably connected to the connection portions on the support tubes. The work board is pivotable relative to the connection portions. An exercising unit is located below the work board and a movable unit is movable on the exercising unit.
Description
- The present invention relates to a foldable exercising-working device, and more particularly, to a device combining exercising and working features together.
- The conventional exercising device such as the treadmill as disclosed in
FIG. 8 generally comprises abase 90 with twosupport tubes 91 extending from two sides of thebase 90. Awork board 92 is connected between the two respective tops of the twosupport tubes 91. A treadmillendless belt 93 is connected between the two support tubes 81 and located below thework board 92. The users can work on thework board 92 while exercise on the treadmillendless belt 93. - However, the disclosed device does not have proper folding mechanism so that the
base 90 and the treadmillendless belt 93 are stored separately when not in use, and this requires more space to store the two separated parts. The present invention intends to provide a foldable exercising-working device which can be folded to be a smaller combination so as to save the space for storage. - The present invention relates to a foldable exercising-working device and comprises a frame having a base with two support tubes extending from the base. The base is stably put on the ground and two connection portions are respectively connected to the two support tubes. A work board is pivotably connected to the connection portions by its underside so that the work board is pivotable relative to the connection portions. An exercising unit has a first end located below the work board and a second end of the exercising unit is put on the ground. A movable unit is movable on the exercising unit.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide a foldable exercising-working device, wherein the work board is pivotable so as to save the space required to store the device.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide a foldable exercising-working device, wherein the exercising unit is pivoted so as to be easily stored.
- The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view to show the foldable exercising-working device of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is an exploded view to show the support frame at the underside of the work board and the connection portions of the support tubes; -
FIG. 3 is a side view to show the support frame at the underside of the work board connected to the connection portions of the support tubes; -
FIG. 4 shows that the exercising unit is pivotably connected to the frame of the present invention; -
FIG. 5 shows that the work board is pivoted relative to the connection portions of the present invention; -
FIG. 6 shows that the work board is pivoted to upright position; -
FIG. 7 shows that the exercising unit is pivoted relative to the frame, and -
FIG. 8 shows the conventional treadmill. - Referring to
FIGS. 1 to 7 , the foldable exercising-working device of the present invention comprises aframe 1, awork board 2 and anexercising unit 3. - The
frame 1 comprises abase 10 which has twosupport tubes 11 extending from two sides of thebase 10. Thebase 10 is stably put on the ground. Twoconnection portions 12 are respectively connected to the twosupport tubes 11. - In this embodiment, each of the
connection portions 12 has twoconnection plates 120 parallel to each other and a bottom plate is connected between the twoconnection plates 120. Eachconnection plate 120 hasmultiple holes 121 defined therethrough and anotch 122 is defined in each of two ends of the bottom plate. - The
work board 2 has asupport frame 20 connected to the underside thereof and the two sides of thesupport frame 20 are respectively and pivotably connected to theconnection portions 12, such that thework board 2 can be pivoted to a horizontal position and an upright position. In this embodiment, thesupport frame 20 is pivotably connected to theconnection portions 12 by two pins. - In this embodiment, the
support frame 20 has two throughholes 200 defined in each end sections thereof and the two end sections of thesupport frame 20 are respectively connected between the twoconnection plates 120 of the twoconnection portions 12. Afirst pin 21 and asecond pin 22 extend through theholes 121 inconnection plates 120 of each of theconnection portions 12 and the throughholes 200 of each of the two end sections of thesupport frame 20. By the first andsecond pins work board 2 is positioned at the horizontal position as shown inFIG. 3 . When either of the first andsecond pins holes 200 of the end sections and one of theholes 121 of theconnection plates 120, the other one of the first andsecond pins work board 2 is pivoted to the upright position as shown inFIG. 5 . InFIG. 5 , thefirst pins 21 are pulled out and thework board 2 is pivoted about thesecond pins 22, and the end sections of thework board 2 is engaged with thenotch 122 of theconnection portions 12 to allow thework board 2 to be pivoted to the upright position. - The
support tubes 11 each have anouter tube 110 and aninner tube 111 which is movably inserted into theouter tube 110. Theinner tube 111 is positioned relative to theouter tube 110 by asecond positioning member 112 which extends through theouter tube 110 and positions theinner tube 111. Astop 113 is connected to theinner tube 111 and protrudes from one side of theinner tube 111 so that when theinner tube 111 is inserted into theouter tube 110, thestop 113 prevents theinner tube 111 from completely inserted into theouter tube 110. - The
exercising unit 3 is located below thework board 2 and amovable unit 30 is movable on the exercisingunit 3. In this embodiment, theexercising unit 3 is a treadmill endless belt. The exercisingunit 3 has twopivots 31 on two sides thereof so as to be pivotably connected to theframe 1. Theexercising unit 3 has the first end located below thework board 2 and the second end of the exercisingunit 3 is put on the ground. Asupport member 32 is connected between theframe 1 and theexercising unit 3 as shown inFIG. 5 . In this embodiment, thesupport member 32 is a hydraulic cylinder. - The exercising
unit 3 is pivotable about thepivots 31 relative to theframe 1 and thesupport member 32 position the exercisingunit 3 at the angular position which saves the space when the device is stored. Thework board 2 can be pivoted relative to thesupport tubes 11 from the horizontal position to the upright position, and the exercisingunit 3 can be pivoted upward by thesupport member 32 such that the space for storing the device is minimized. - While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
