17 Claims. (Cl. lOl- 67) This invention relates to improvements in vending machines and has for an object the provision, in a vendi ing machine, of a coin counter which accepts one or more coins of different denominations, integrates the values of the coins accepted and sets'up a credit in the machine representing the'total value of the coins.
Still another object of the invention is the provision in. a transportation ticket vending machine of a group of t selector keys, each representing a different destination, a plurality of locks normally preventing said keys'from being depressed, means for progressively unlocking said.
vance the same along a path through said stage, selector means including settable push buttons, each corresponding to a different designation, for effecting the positioning of a line of type of a selected designation in registration with said web, means in said machine for printing on said web with the selected line of type, and cutting means for severing the printed portion of said web from the remainder and issuing the same as a ticket.
Another object of the invention is the provision, in a ticket issuing machine, of a bankl of selector buttons in cooperation with the latter, a wheel-like member arrested by any of said buttons with a corresponding line. o f type in printing position, a `series of tickets in the form of `a strip intermittently moved in a path crossing said printing position', means for effecting a printing operation after the arrest of said wheel-like member, and cutting means for thereafter cutting oi a portion of said strip which was printed on and delivering the same outside said machine.
Other objects and advantages of the invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art from a study of this specification and the accompanying drawings.
