Be it known that I, OsMoND REED, of the ,y town of Paris, in the county of Kent and State ofMichigan, have invented a new and Improved Hay-Riggingg and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same.

Figure l is a perspective view showing Athe rigging attached to the box of the wagon with one side-board, A, on and one off; also one vertical side-board, B, on and one off. Fig. 2 is one of the arms, the two parts detached from each other. a, is the projecting arm, eX- tending about twenty inches outside of the box and raised from a horizontal line about on projecting arms. h is bolt-hole to fasten side-board 011 vertical arms. t' is hook or ring at the top of the vertical arm to pass rope through in binding the load.
The nature of my invention is such that in putting on a load, by setting the vertical arms at any required angle, the loader has' something to guide him in building the load. After the load is on, by passing a rope from the hooks or rings at the tops of the vertical arms from side to side over the load it can be securely bound. r
When the vertical arms are not Wanted, as in unloading, they can bey turned down inthe direction ofthe dotted line j. When driving Without any load, they can beV turned down on the projecting arms.
What I claim as my invention, and 'desire to secure by VLetters Patent to my assignees,
