Field to which invention relates The invention relates to an article of footwear, more particularly a ski boot with a lining which can be detached from the article of footwear, consisting of a sole for supporting the foot and side walls, surrounding the foot in its length and breadth at least partly, made of foamed, predominantly open-celled plastic.
2. The Prior Art The US. Pat. Specification No. 3,530,595 describes .a shoe in which a lining is mounted in a detachable manner so that the thickness of the liner can be adjusted to allow for abnormalities of the foot.
This prior art construction allows adaptation, more particularly in regard to foot abnormalities, owing to the fact that the excessively loaded parts of the lining become permanently deformed, for example by cellwall breakage in a plastic manner.
With this prior art construction is, however, an adaptation to already existing abnormalities of the foot, which require a local thickening of the lining is not possible to fix the foot laterally in an exact manner. This lateral fixation of the foot is necessary in the case of ski boots, since an exact control of the ski, more particularly the ski edges is only possible without loss of time and energy when the foot in the boot has no lateral play.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION On this basis one aim of the invention is to provide an article of footwear whose detachable lining can be adapted to all lateral foot abnormalities outside the boot.
This is made possible in accordance with one aspect of the invention that at least one side wall of the lining is provided with detachable, interchangeable fitting parts.
In accordance with a particularly advantageous feature a construction in accordance with the invention provides for a lining which on its inner side adjacent to the foot has interchangeable fitting parts, which have less elasticity than any other part of the lining.
In accordance with another advantageous construction in accordance with the invention the lining has the interchangeable fitting parts on its outer side remote from the foot and the fitting parts have an elasticity at least like that of the lining.
Preferably the interchangeable fitting parts are connected with the lining by means of a self-adhesive composition.
DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS In the drawing one embodiment of an article of footwear in accordance with the invention is shown and will be described in what follows.
FIG. I shows an article of footwear, whose outline is denoted by broken lines, resembling a ski boot, in which a lining l is inserted in a detachable manner. The inner shoe lining 1 comprises on the side remote from the foot interchangeable detachable fitting parts 2, made of leather, which are stuck on flat by means of a self-adhesive composition. The foot, which is not shown in detail, is thus held more tightly in the article of footwear adjacent to the adhesive joints. In order to allow for an increase in volume of the foot, due for ex ample to an increase in weight of the wearer of the boot, the necessary space required in consequence can be provided by interchanging or simply removing the fitting parts 2.
On the side adjacent to the foot of the shoe liner 1 detachable, interchangeable fitting parts 3 are provided,
which are stuck by means of a self-adhesive composition in a flat manner on the inner surface of the liner or lining l. The fitting parts 3 are more elastic than the material of the shoe lining 1. Owing to their advantageous rounded-off form the fitting parts 3 are capable of holding the foot even in the case of the presence of substantial abnormalities in an anatomically suitable manner so that the foot is held in the boot in such a manner that it cannot slip in relation to the latter. The fitting parts 3 thus form detachable, interchangeable cushions.
The size of the fitting parts 2 and 3 depends from the individual nature of the abnormality. They can be circular, oval, rectangular or in the form of elongated strips.
1. An article of footwear with a lining which can be detached from the article of footwear, consisting of a sole for supporting the foot and side walls, surrounding the foot in its length and breadth at least partly, made of foamed, predominantly open-celled plastic, characterized in that the lining on at least one of its side walls is provided with detachable, interchangeable fitting parts.
2. The structure as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that on at least one of its side walls adjacent to the inner side of the foot the lining has interchangeable fitting parts which have less elasticity than any other part of the lining.
3. The structure as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the lining on at least one of :its side walls has interchangeable fitting parts on its outer side remote from the foot and the fitting parts have an elasticity at least like that of the lining.
4. The structure as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the interchangeable fitting parts are connected with at least one side wall of the lining by means of a self-adhesive composition.
