The nature of my invention is anl adjustable saw-set operated by a trigger and hammer, and with the handle shaped similar to a pistol.
Figure l is a perspective View of the tool. Fig. 2 is a sectional view. Fig. 3 represents the adjustable stopple that forms the inclination ofthe tool.
A represents `the handle; B, the stock; O, the hammer that holds the saw tightly upon the stock B, the red line at Fig. 2 showing the position ofthe saw. The hammer has a setscrew, D, to set the hammer higher or lower, to get the proper purchase on the saw.
E is a stopple, square shaped, passing through the stock of the pistol, and has a beveled or incline-shaped top, that is adjusted to any angle required, for setting the teeth wide or narrow, by a set-screw, G, and, as the jaw H of the trigger J is-drawn down upon the saw-tooth, by operating on the trigger the tooth is pressed down to its uniform set without the tool being drawn down by the hand to bend the tooth, as usual. The jaw H, pressing the tooth closely on the inclined top, gives the teeth a perfectly-regular set and Without cracking or breaking oil any of the teeth.
What I claim as my invention., and desire t0 secure by Letters Patent, is-
'lhe construction 0f the devices A, B, O, E, H, and J, when arranged and combined as herein described, and for the purposes set forth.
