BED-PAD OR SUPPLEMENTAL MATTRESS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 658,789, dated- OCtObel 2, 1900.
Application filed February '7, 1900. Serial No. 4,374. (No model.)

ginia, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Bed-Pads or Supplemental Mattresses, of which the following is a speciflcation.
My invention relates to pads or protectors for mattresses and other bedding; and the object is to provide a simple andinexpensive device of this character which will serve as a supplemental mattress and effectually protect the ordinary mattress or other bedding from bed-wetting.
The invention comprises a pad or protector of the novel construction hereinafter fully described, and defined in the appended claim,l in connection with the accompanying drawings, which constitute a part of this specification, and in which- Figure l is a view in perspective of a pad or supplemental mattress embodying the iuvention, and Fig. 2 is a transverse vertical edges of the rubber are thickened to form a rectangular frame or flange 3, surrounding the pegs or projections and having its upper discomfort to the sleeper. No special relative arrangement of the projections is essential; but they should be separated sufficiently to permit the pad to be thoroughly cleansed and dried.
It will be obvious that the device constructed as above described and shown in the drawings will eectually serve the purpose in View and can be readily washed and dried and kept in sanitary condition.
I claim- A rubber pad or bed-protector having its upper surface provided with hollow projec tions and an edge ange beveled on its upper surface. v
