The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.

To. all whom it may concern Be it known that I, GEORGE BENXS, of Rockford, in the county of: \Vinnebago, and State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Stoves; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of ref erence marked thereon.

This invention relates to stoves, and consists of a specific construction designed for summer and campuse, whereby much heat is obtained,-'with little consumption of fuel.

To enable others skilled in the art to which my in- -vcntion appertains, to make and use the same, I will now proceed to describe fully its construction and operation.

A represents a cylinder, of sheet-iron or other suitable metal, which is provided with the ash-door a, firedoor a, draught and air-holes a a", and smoke-pipe a.

-, B represents the grate, which rests upon projections 71, within the cylinder, as shown.

This grate is providedwith a funnel, O, which is intended to be filled with sand or other suitable material, which maybe saturated with kerosene or other inflammable substance, to assist in the iguitionmf the fuel,'if desired.

D represents the GOEI, which rests upon suitable projections (l d, as shown.

This stove, if used for summer-cooking, is intended to be placed upon top of the ordinary stove, with its pipe passing-into the stove-pipe through a proper orifice.

When used forcamping-purposes, an additional pipe must, of course, be used.

By the simple construction .herein described, a simple stove is obtained, by'which much heat. can be obtained with but little fuel.

It is especially intended for charcoal, though other combustibles can, of course, be used, if desired,

The ordinary cooking-utensils can be used with it as in the ordinary stoves.
