Description

Saugschacht an einem KehrfahrzeugSuction shaft on a sweeper
The invention relates to a suction shaft on a sweeping vehicle, which is provided adjacent to its suction opening on the rear wall with an air guiding device and on the front wall with a coarse dirt flap.
Devices of this type are used in particular for vehicles for street cleaning. The suction opening of the suction shaft is guided tightly over the street surface, so that leaves, paper, tin cans or the like lying on the street. captured by an air stream and transported through the suction shaft into a dirt hopper. In addition to the distance of the suction opening from the road surface, the effective one is to achieve a high and uniform suction effect Airflow guidance is important.
A known suction shaft (German Patent 24 46728) has an extended rear wall at the lower end to form an air guiding device. This air guiding device, which is connected in one piece with the suction shaft, brings with it the danger of being damaged or clogged, especially when driving over bulky obstacles such as manhole covers or the like lying on the street.
Um den Abstand der Luftleitvor- richtung von der Kehrfläche zu verändern, muß der In another known suction shaft (GB-PS 847 709) of the type mentioned, an approximately V-shaped air guide device is attached to the rear wall of the suction shaft. However, a bend connecting the two legs of the air guiding device protrudes somewhat into the suction opening and thereby reduces the inlet cross-section effective for the air throughput; Bulky sweepings, for example bottles, cans and the like, can therefore no longer pass through or only with difficulty. A shadow zone also forms in the area between the rear wall and this bend with respect to the air flow, where air vortices occur and debris accumulates. To change the distance of the air guiding device from the sweeping surface, the
gesamte Saugschacht in seiner Höhe mittels Schraubvor¬ richtungen verstellt werden. Da diese lediglich manuell betätigbar sind, ist bei jeder Anpassung an unter¬ schiedlich große Kehrgutteile ein beträchtlicher Ar- beitsaufwand notwendig.the entire suction shaft can be adjusted in height by means of screwing devices. Since these can only be operated manually, a considerable amount of work is required each time they are adapted to different sized sweepings.
The invention has for its object to provide a suction shaft avoiding the disadvantages of the above-mentioned prior art, the suction opening of which can be quickly and easily adapted to different sized debris parts without the entire suction shaft being adjusted in its height ¬ must. A particularly effective and rational suction operation is to be achieved and the risk of damage to the suction shaft is largely avoided.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß die Luftleiteinrichtung eine lose am Saugschacht abgestützte Luftleitklappe ist, daß diese und auch die Grobschmutzklappe durch Hubzylinder und /oderThis object is achieved in that the air guiding device is a loosely supported air guiding flap, that this and also the coarse dirt flap by lifting cylinders and / or
Dämpfungselemente mit dem Saugschacht oder einem dazu¬ gehörigen Tragrahmen beweglich verbunden sind und daß Damping elements are movably connected to the suction shaft or an associated support frame and that
die Luftleitklappe mit wenigstens einem Schwenkarm fest verbunden ist, der an Saugschacht oder Tragrahmen oberhalb der Luftleitklappe und dergegenüber in Rich¬ tung Vorderwand versetzt angelenkt ist.the air guide flap is fixedly connected to at least one swivel arm which is articulated on the suction shaft or support frame above the air guide flap and opposite it in the direction of the front wall.
The air guiding and coarse dirt flaps are movably suspended on the suction shaft housing or on an associated support frame and with damping elements, e.g. Springs provided with gas springs or the like, or actuable by means of active elements, which can be pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders. The use of active actuating cylinders is particularly advantageous because they can perform lifting functions as well as have damping properties and can also be remotely controlled. The last-mentioned property in particular enables the flaps to be raised quickly when bulky obstacles occur.
In the normal working position, the flaps are completely lowered, ie in the next position to the sweeping surface, so that they lie directly on the outer sides of the front and rear walls of the suction shaft. The seal can be further improved by coating one or both contact surfaces with rubber or the like material. The coating is expediently designed such that there are no flow obstacles, such as shadow zones, along the transition area from the air guide flap to the rear wall. If the cylinders are in the depressurized state with the flaps lowered, the flaps can be pushed up by obstacles, since this is not impeded by a counterpressure of the actuating cylinders. This further reduces the risk of damage to the suction shaft with the flaps installed therein.
When actuating air guiding devices there is generally the problem that when they are pivoted out, the leading edge brushes against the floor or can get caught on it. Here, the invention remedies that the movement of the air guide flap is still guided by specially designed swivel arms. The fulcrum of the swivel arms is mounted in such a way that the air guide flap lifts upwards when swiveled backwards. Furthermore, it is expedient to fine-tune the height and lateral position of the air guide flap with additional devices, e.g. Elongated holes. In addition, their installation on the suction shaft can be precisely positioned.
Since the coarse dirt flap on the front wall of the suction shaft is particularly exposed to the risk of collision with bulky sweepings during sweeping special attention should be paid to the sequence of their movements. Accordingly, according to In a particularly advantageous variant of the invention, the coarse dirt flap is not pivoted upward in a circular arc, but rather is pulled upward approximately parallel to the front wall of the suction duct. Such a 3-way guide can advantageously be implemented by means of an articulated lever guide or the like between the coarse dirt flap and the support frame and / or a running rail guide.
In a further embodiment, the air guiding surfaces in the air guiding flap, the contact surfaces of the respective flaps and / or the inner walls of the suction shaft can be coated with rubber or the like material. This dampens impacts from debris lying or flying around on the street; In addition, the durability of the entire device according to the invention is increased. The coarse dirt flap can be made in its entirety from resiliently elastic material, for example synthetic rubber. As a result, even in its lower position, it can overcome obstacles on the road surface without being destroyed.
Within the scope of the invention there is the possibility, by means of remote-controlled or automatic lowering or raising of the two flaps, of setting the most favorable suction height in order to achieve a uniform suction operation with changing sweeping material properties. The two flaps can be operated synchronously or independently of each other.
With regard to further advantageous embodiments, reference is made to the accompanying subclaims.

In Fig. 4 no direct connection to the front wall 5 of the suction shaft 1 is provided for the coarse dirt flap 6. Rather, the range of motion of the coarse dirt flap 6 is determined by two guide rods 27, 28 of different lengths, the upper guide rod 28 being longer than the lower guide rod 27. Their ends on the flap side are rotatably mounted on the coarse dirt flap 6 in articulation points 29, 30; the other ends of the guide rods 27, 28 are articulated in articulation points 31, 32, which are provided on a support 33 belonging to the support frame. The movement sequence of the coarse dirt flap 6 results from the guideway 34 of its upper articulation points 29 and the guideway 23 of its lower articulation points 30.
By lifting and lowering the air guide flap 4 and the coarse dirt flap 6, the suction height can be varied in a range from approximately 30 to 100 mm in the specific exemplary embodiment.
