Abstract
Present invention relates to a marking system for an object in order to simplify identification, where different layers, each with relative to the other different properties representing figures and/or letters, are arranged in the most possible way inseparable from each other in a desired order, e.g. in the form of a personal code. The invention is characterized in that all the different layers, preferably 11, consist of tiny particles, preferably in a solution mixture, which are applied to the object in one or several places.
Description
MARKING SYSTEM
Present invention relates to a marking system for objects, e.g. for the purpose of easily deciding their origin or/and identity.
In numbers related to persons or companies there is a very unique combination of figures, which in many cases serves as the "identity" of the person or company.
The purpose of this invention is to supply a system that makes possible the use of e.g. a combination of figures, which is a number related to a person or a company; a new way to mark an identity; that is that the invention deals with a new system for identification.
A number related to a person is connected to the identity of that very person. However, a combination of figures is not felt especially personal. That is the reason why many persons are opposed to the use of that system. By exploiting present invention it will also be possible to give the person a personal colour code instead of a figure code. A colour code is emotionally more acceptable.
The magnetic tape systems that are used in today's identity or credit cards must be used together with a personal code of figures at each buying occasion (or banking occasion) and can be, unduly or unintentionally, manipulated. By the use of present invention it is possible to read a colour code imbedded in the card with an optical sensor. By this application of the invention the shades of the colours in the colour code can be made impossible to manipulate or imitate, as
differences in an emitted wave-length from a previously decided wave-length representing a fixed shade of colour immediately will be registered by the optical reading system in the automatic system.
Regarding the fact that the system has been given these, in the claims stated distinctive features, the above mentioned purposes and advantages can be obtained.
By the use of different layers, each of which has, relative to the other, distinctive features representing figures and/or letters and where each layer is arranged in the most possible way inseparable from the adjoining layers a number of possibilities to a new technique for identification and/or marking are obtainable.
Preferably the different layers can be layers of different colours or layers in different shades of grey.
The layers can be arranged one beside the other on, e.g. , a tape whereas each layer is clearly visible to the bare human eye. Thus a 5 cm tape will show a personal code where 11 colours, some of which of course and probably will be alike, each will be clearly visible with a width of about 5 mm.
In another form of the invention the layers can be arranged one upon the other, where each layer of course must cover the underlying layer. In order to make the layers visible to the bare human eye or by the aid of a microscope or a magnifier, each layer should be made of more or less tiny particles.
This can be obtained in different ways. One way is
arranging of different layers of colours one upon the other. The layers are hardened to a breakable disc, from which particles of colours are mixed into a solu¬ tion mixture, in which, of course, the different layers are not soluble. In this manner one can obtain a paint, in which the pigment particles consist of the layers of colours. Depending on whether or not each layer should be visible to the bare human eye different grades of braking up are chosen. The solution mixture obtained in this way can be supplied in spray cans and/or in "nail varnish bottles". A human being with a coded pigment paint on at least one nail always has one recognizable identity attached to himself.
The solution in which the unique pigment particles are mixed preferably has engraving properties, at least on plastic materials. Thus it will be possible to mark objects on several spots, which makes it virtually impossible to remove all the pigment particles from all the marks. The meaning of this for the prevention of burglaries is obvious.
Instead of using layers of colours it is possible by present invention to use layers of identification which are not based upon different colours. A possible system according to the scoop of the invention can be based on layers with different thicknesses or different chemical properties.
The invention is not limited to the above mentioned applications but modifications can be made within the claims.
