Bon nombre de distributeurs existent sur le marché pour assurer la vente de boissons en bouteilles, en boites, ou à verser dans un gobelet. Existent également des distributeurs automatiques de cigarettes, de produits d'hygiène, de friandises, d'aliments non périssables, de cassettes vidéo etc .. etc... Il peut s'agir de matériel audio-visuel, de parfums, de produits cosmétiques, de cadeaux, d'articles de fumeurs, d'horlogerie, de bijoux, etc .. etc... Ce type de produits, non seulement requièrent l'intervention d'un vendeur, mais de plus sont conditionnés de manière obligatoirement différente et ne peuvent pas trouver leur application aux distributeurs connus, limités à un type de produit. Elle comporte une plateforme qui se déplace horizontalement devant plusieurs rangées de cassettes et est munie d'une tirette permettant d'amener la cassette sélectionnée sur la plateforme.
