Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betrieb eines Geldspielgerätes nach Art eines Roulettes bei dem der Spieler die Höhe des Spieleinsatzes durch Einwurf von Münzen und anschließende Tastenwahl festlegt und dann ein Mikroprozessor mittels eines Zufallsalgorithmus das Spielergebnis ermittelt. Wenn eine gesetzte Zahl getroffen wird, wird vom Mikroprozessor die Münzausgabeeinheit zum Auswerfen des Hauptgewinns angesteuert. Bei einem Treffer einer gesetzten Zahl wird von dem Mikroprozessor ein weiterer Prozessor mit einem Zufallsgenerator angesteuert. Dieser Zufallsgenerator ermittelt in Abhängigkeit von einem eingelesenen Algorithmus einen Gewinnmultiplikator, der mit der Höhe des Spieleinsatzes auf die getroffene Zahl multipliziert wird. Dann wird die Auszahleinheit zur Ausgabe einer Anzahl von Münzen angesteuert, deren Menge dem Produkt aus dem Spieleinsatz auf die getroffene Zahl und dem Gewinnmultiplikator entspricht.

Description

ROULETTARTIGES GELDSPIELGERÄT
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betrieb eines Geldspielgerätes nach Art eines Roulettes mit einem an der Frontseite des Geldspielgeräts angeordneten roulettear¬ tigen Zahlenkessel und Setztastenfeld, bei dem der Spieler die Höhe des Spieleinsatzes durch Einwurf von Münzen und anschließende Tastenwahl festlegt und dann ein Mikropro¬ zessor mittels eines Zufallsalgorithmus das Spielergebnis ermittelt und, wenn eine gesetzte Zahl getroffen wurde, die Münzausgabeeinheit zum Auswerfen des Hauptgewinns ansteuert und ein Geldspielgerät zur Durchführung des Verfahrens.
Bei bekannten gattungsgemäßen Geldspielgeräten können mit einer oder mehrerer Münzen Zahlen von 0 bis 12 gesetzt wer- den. Je nach gesetztem Zahlenfeld und nach der Wahl des Spielers kann bei einem Gewinn ein Betrag von bis zum zwölffachen der Gewinnzahl ausgespielt werden. Es hat sich jedoch gezeigt, daß ein maximal erreichbarer Gewinnmulti¬ plikator von 12 den Spielern nur einen geringen Spielan- reiz gibt, die von anderen Geldspielgeräten die Möglich¬ keit zur Erzielung von Jackpot-Gewinnen kennen.
Die Aufgabe der Erfindung besteht darin, das eingangs ge¬ nannte Verfahren zum Betrieb eines Geldspielgeräts nach Art eines Roulettes so zu verbessern, daß zufallsabhängig die Möglichkeit besteht einen jackpot-artigen Größtgewinn zu erzielen. Ferner ist es die Aufgabe der Erfindung, ein Geldspielgerat so auszubilden, daß es die Durchführung des Verfahrens ermöglicht.
Erfindungsgemäß erfolgt die Lösung der Aufgabe bezüglich des Verfahrens durch die kennzeichnenden Merkmale des Anspruchs 1 und bezüglich des Geldspielgeräts durch die kennzeichnenden Merkmale des Anspruchs 4. Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung werden in den abhängigen Ansprüchen beschrieben. Nach der Erfindung ist es für den Spieler möglich, daß bei einem Treffer der gesetzten Zahl der Zufallsgenerator des zusätzlichen Prozessors einen Gewinnmultiplikator für den Höchstgewinn ermittelt, der um ein Vielfaches größer ist als bei bekannten Geldspielgeräten. Bei erfindungsgemäß ausgeführten Geldspielgeräten sind die Faktoren des zu¬ fallsabhängigen Gewinnmultiplikators z. B. in folgendem Rastern gestaffelt: 10, 25, 50, 100, 1000 bzw 8, 12, 20, 100, 1000. Der statistische Mittelwert tatsächlich erfolg- ter Auszahlungen beträgt ebenfalls 12, das heißt auch bei Einsatz des zusätzlichen Zufallsgenerators verbleibt es im statistischem Mittel bei dem Gewinnmultiplikator von 12. Der Zufallsgenerator des zusätzlichen Prozessors ist aber so ausgelegt, daß in 85% aller Spielsituationen beim Tref- fer auf einer gesetzten Zahl der Zufallsgenerator ledig¬ lich den unteren Gewinnmultiplikator ermittelt. Wenn 15 Einsätze auf eine Zahl gesetzt sind, erhält der Spieler in diesem Fall also lediglich das Zehnfache bzw. Achtfache seiner Einsätze und damit weniger als bei den bekannten Geldspielgeräten. Dagegen ermittelt der Zufallsgenerator des zusätzlichen Prozessors in 15% aller -Spielsituationen mit einem Treffer auf eine gesetzte Zahl einen höheren Gewinnmultiplikator wie z.B. 25, 50, 100, 1000 oder 12, 10, 100, 1000. Bei 15 Einsätzen auf die getroffene Zahl ist also ein jackpot-artiger Hauptgewinn von fünfzehn¬ tausend Einsätzen möglich. Hierdurch wird der Spielanreiz für den Spieler wesentlich erhöht. Durch Ausbildung des zusätzlichen Prozessors als 33 Bit-Prozessor mit Zufalls¬ generator ist es aufgrund der großen Anzahl von ca. 4,2 Mrd. Basiszahlen praktisch nicht möglich, die einen Jack¬ pot bewirkende Zufallskombination zu ermitteln. Hierdurch besteht für den Gerätebetreiber eine große Sicherheit dagegen, daß Unbefugte durch Manipulation einen Jackpot erzielen. ΞΞ kann auch ergänzend oder alternativ eine Risikσschal-
- *• tung vorgesehen werden. Durch Betätigung einer Risikotaste kann der Spieler dann z.B. mit Risiko um den Jackpot spie¬ len und hat dadurch die Möglichkeit, eine Art Super-Jack- 5 pot zu erzielen. In diesem Fall ist es vorteilhaft, an der Frontfläche des Geldspielgeräts den Status "Jackpot" anzu¬ zeigen, damit der Spieler noch für einen kurzen Zeitraum Gelegenheit hat, das Risikospiel zu beginnen.
10 In der Zeichnung ist ein erfindungsgemäßes Geldspielgerat in einer perspektivischen Ansicht dargestellt, das nach¬ stehend näher erläutert wird.
An der Frontseite des Gerätegehäuses 2 des Geldspielgeräts 15 1 ist ein rouletteartiger Zahlenkessel 3 und ein Setz- tastenfeld 10 ausgebildet. Oberhalb des Zahlenkessels 3 befindet sich ein Aufsatzteil 4 mit einem Anzeigefeld 5 für Gewinnmultiplikatoren und ein Anzeigefeld 6 zur An¬ zeige, daß das Geldspielgerat 1 ein Roulette-Spielgerät 20 ist. Auf der Oberseite des AufSatzteils 4 befindet sich eine Blinkleuchte 7, die bei einer Störung des Geldspiel¬ gerätes und bei einem Jackpot blinkt. Hierdurch kann das Aufsichtspersonal sofort Abweichungen vom normalen Spiel¬ betrieb oder das Auftreten von Störungen erkennen. Das
25 Aufsatzteil 4 kann auch in das eigentliche Gerätegehäuse 2 integriert sein. Neben dem Zahlenkessel 3 befindet sich ein Anzeigefeld 8 für die Gewinnanzeige und ein Anzeige¬ feld 9 zur Anzeige des noch zur Verfügung stehenden Ein¬ satzes. Zwischen dem Zahlenkessel 3 und dem Setztastenfeld
30 10 befinden sich Funktionstasten 11, 12 sowie der Münz- einwurfschlitz 13. Unter dem Setztastenfeld 10 sind wei¬ tere Funktionstasten 14, 15, 16 sowie die Münzauswurf- schale 17 angeordnet.
35 Das Setztastenfeld 10 weist Tastenfelder für die Zahlen 0 bis 12 sowie Tastenfelder für die hohen Zahlen 7 bis 12 und für die niedrigen Zahlen 1 bis 6 und für nur auf dem schwarzen oder nur auf dem roten Untergrund angeordnete Zahlen auf. Der maximale Einsatz von Münzen bei einer Spielperiode ist begrenzt und kann z.B. 15 Münzen je ge¬ troffenem Feld betragen. Wird die gesetzte Zahl getroffen, ist ein Treffer erzielt. In diesem Fall wird von dem Mi- kroprozessor der Steuereinheit in dem Gerätegehäuse ein zusätzlicher Prozessor mit einem Zufallsgenerator ange¬ steuert, der aufgrund des eingelesenen Algorithmus den Gewinnmultiplikator ermittelt. Dieser kann z. B. nach einer Staffelung 10, 25, 50, 100, 1000 oder 8, 12, 20, 100, 1000 ausgelegt sein. Wird der Gewinnmultiplikator 1000 ermittelt, ist ein Jackpot erzielt und das Geld¬ spielgerat 1 wirft 1000 mal den Einsatz aus, in diesem Beispiel 15000 Münzen.

Claims

P A T E N T A N S P R U C H E
1. Verfahren zum Betrieb eines Geldspielgeräts nach Art eines Roulettes mit einem an der Frontseite des Geld¬ spielgerätes angeordneten rouletteartigen Zahlenkessel und Setztastenfeld, bei dem der Spieler die Höhe des Spieleinsatzes durch Einwurf von Münzen und anschlie߬ ende Tastenwahl festlegt und dann ein Mikroprozessor mittels eines Zufallsalgorithmus das Spielergebnis ermittelt und, wenn eine gesetzte Zahl getroffen wur¬ de, die Münzausgabeeinheit zum Auswerfen des Hauptge- winns ansteuert, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß bei einem Treffer einer gesetzten Zahl von dem Mikroprozessor ein weiterer Prozessor mit einem Zufallsgenerator angesteuert wird, daß dieser Zufallsgenerator in Ab¬ hängigkeit von einem eingelesenen Algorithmus einen Gewinnmultiplikator ermittelt und mit der Höhe des
Spieleinsatzes auf die getroffene Zahl multipliziert und dann die Auswahleinheit zur Ausgabe einer Anzahl Münzen ansteuert, deren Menge dem Produkt aus dem Spieleinsatz auf die getroffene Zahl und dem Gewinn- multiplikator entspricht.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Mikroprozessor einen 33 Bit-Prozessor ansteuert.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeich¬ net, daß das den Gewinnmultiplikator darstellende Signal einer Risikoschaltung zugeführt wird.
4. Geldspielgerat nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, da- durch gekennzeichnet, daß der Mikroprozessor mit einem weiteren Prozessor mit Zufallsgenerator verbunden ist, der bei einem Treffer einer gesetzten Zahl ansteuerbar ist und der r,it der Auszahleinheit verbunden ist.
5. Geldspielgerat nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeich¬ net, daß der weitere Prozessor als 33 Bit-Prozessor ausσebildet ist.
6. Geldspielgerat nach Anspruch 4 und 5, dadurch gekenn¬ zeichnet, daß der weitere Prozessor als Zufallsgene¬ rator ausgebildet ist.
